Title: Bitcoin Cash will be listed on Coinbase
Post by: Thusspoke on December 08, 2017, 03:21:33 AM
Coinbase will be distributing BCH to its traders on January 1st. At the time of distribution, it may also list BCH. The infrastructure it created for S2X has been reworked for BCH. If Charlie Lee cannot stop it, BCH will be the next coin listed on Coinbase. Thoughts?

It may correct, if the coinbase will distribute the bitcoin cash to the holders and the bitcoin cash ticker will be avaible at january but si there an official announcement about that? But it can't be stopped by charlie lie. As far as i know that charlie lie are focussing to the litecoin and that's why he was leaving from the coinbase team.

Why would Charlies Lee try to stop it now anyway, the announcement was made already, they changed their minds and will now credit it. They should have done so earlier to get people to dump them off cheap, now they'll have lots of dumpers at premium prices. Then again, maybe they were actively doing this as a deliberate decision to help keep BCH afloat.

Old news anyway, has no more impact. Bitcoin Cash, do your best.

I think Charlie Lee won't stop it anymore and I am sure that if bch got listed on coinbase, we will surely see a dip after it. It won't be that much but it will be significant for those who will want to rebuy some bitcoin cash. For now I wonder if BCH would get listed on coinbase, would it permanently usurp the number two spot from ETH? Well it would be a fun action to watch.

I think this will positively influence the growth of the BCH rate, because coinbase is the largest exchange trading for fiat money

there should be an official announcement about this, usually by e-mail.
i think it will be a really good move especially for BCH hodlers.
this will also give some extra credibility to BCH at a time when its has signs of being very healthy.

Coinbase had announced the acceptance of the currency but did not say date, they announced on their site that they plan to have support for Bitcoin Cash before January 1, 2018. They were being cautious not to fall headfirst into the controversial bifurcated coin stating that they was balancing technical stability, security or compliance with Bitcoin Cash.

They have to give people their Bitcoin Cash otherwise there would be uproar. If it was a generic altcoin they wouldn't be listing it as it's too similar to BTC and LTC.

if Coinbase adds a market for bitcoin cash like all the other exchanges including Bitstamp are doing, then it will be perfect timing too. because first there will be a bitcoin price correction and possibly some dumping to go around and then bitcoin cash will also have had its drop and reached the bottom already.

there can simply be a huge pump like the last one taking place. and we all know that Roger Ver and Bitmain are two huge whales behind this coin and they will be pumping it as much as they can and during times like this where people from bitcoin are seeking refuge somewhere, they will switch to bitcoin cash temporarily and it can be an even bigger pump.

but Coinbase has said nothing about adding the market for bitcoin cash. they are only releasing the coins to the users who want them. possibly never add the market for it at all.

and if they don't, that just means a lot of users with a lot of bitcoin cash at hand ( a big sum) that they will dump on the market and can crash the price.
unless coinbase makes any statements about adding a market or not, i stick to my speculation.
