Title: Pci-e 1x vs 16x for GPUs? Help please Post by: cryptopi on July 12, 2013, 04:53:30 AM I've got almost all of the details for my new rig sorted out except for the motherboard because I have a question regarding it. My understanding is that 1x (pci) means it has one data lane and 16x means it has 16 data lanes. I am using 7950 cards, FYI. When purchasing a motherboard, does it matter if the 7950 cards are attached to a 1x or a 16x pci? What I really mean is: will a 7950 card hooked up to a 1x pci have a lower hash rate than one hooked up to a 16x pci? Or does it not matter which type of pci the cards are attached to?
Thanks Title: Re: Pci-e 1x vs 16x for GPUs? Help please Post by: monkeymonkey on July 12, 2013, 05:05:10 AM for bitcoin mining there is no difference.

Still no difference? Thanks Title: Re: Pci-e 1x vs 16x for GPUs? Help please Post by: icyak on July 12, 2013, 05:16:13 AM for bitcoin mining there is no difference.
