The NEM.io Foundation and the NEM China Chapter have never announced a cooperation with WeChat or the "WeChat wallet".

A NEM community developer independently created the NEM application on the "WeChat mini app" platform, and it's currently in beta online testing.

Please identify information with caution, don't exaggerate or mislead information.

I've never heard of this first crypto wallet in WeChat but I think I'm trying this one out. This is actually great news especially with NEM so that means or most likely this coin will soon pump once people are going to try this application.

Nope, the reason is, that because of the wechat-news lots of people studied the whole NEM-project. With the actuall price it is a nobrainer to buy. Wechat is great, but the other running projects are high quality as well.

I`ve heard about the wechat but never use this! Maybe because it was created to the Chinese market and I don`t live in China.
As I know it is a Chinese social media (instant messaging, commerce and payment services) mobile application software so It is very cool to see the first time the wallet will be reach from directly the social account.

Well well, wonder how China is going to react waking up to this news, do we see a 300% increase in NEM? :D

1. WeChat is the Facebook of China. Let me correct that. Facebook is the WeChat of America. The market valuation of WeChat is larger than Facebook.

2. There is a tradition in China of gift giving with "Red Envelopes". The Red Envelopes contain cash and give good luck and ward off evil spirits as per the tradition. So, WeChat does Red Envelopes on the smart phone. You can Google this yourself.... In Feb 2016, there were 8 Billion Red Envelopes sent. In Feb 2017, there were 46 billion (!!!) Red Envelopes sent. Do you see where this is going?

Anybody selling NEM for quick profit now is a fool. It's not even over $1 yet and the train is not going to stop.

I know about stuff because I am also heavily invested in Lomocoin (LMC)... which aims to be the first crypto version of WeChat. That project is way underrated... anyways, I do wonder if this is going to hurt the Lomocoin project... but either way, I am huge positions on both, so can't really lose.

WeChat has close to 1 billion monthly active users. The WeChat mobile app is one of the largest (might be the largest)  payment apps in China. And now NEM wallet will be integrated into WeChat.

That seems like pretty nice exposure for NEM... any coins getting 900 million user eyeballs? LOL. Didn't think so. You selling your NEM for $0.65 and taking profits? HODL!

Wow.. since you put it that way it shines a new light on things. This is indeed huge news.. and it is sans catapult. I think we'll see a huge runup, bigger and faster than iota.. 900 million sets of eyes is quite a few.

YEAH been a big follower of NEM for a long time now. It was always undervalued and still is. With Dimcoin running on the NEM platform and as the DIM ecosystem comes together it's only going to keep going up. DIMcoin also hits exchanges on the 18th of December.

Now it's NEM time  :) Really big news Wechat very big market for crypto in overall but to be 1st is huge I think.

This price will probably come with a dip (a normal dip, not a huge dump). I just sold 20% of my NEM (bought at $0.16), and I'm thinking about selling 50% more. Then, obviously, I would come back and buy again after the dip because I also believe in the project.

Massive sell off.  Let's see what happens around 12/21 when the WeChat project goes live.

I sort of like NEM's lack of transparency.  It will enable advertising to the most profitable addresses.
Also like NEM's energy conservation via harvesting.  Instead of mining, harvesting from 9 billion coins will save electricity (and the planet)

NEM looks to have stabilised now after falling back a bit, but that was a massive rise! I know this was because of wechat, but so many alts are having crazy rises at the moment - in last 24 hours, Litecoin up 60%, Waves up 25%, plenty of others in double figures.

NEM has a working product and is aiming on enterprise solutions. A lot of news will follow...

This is another great development and we expect xem price to go up in days to come. I have an android application and I have find it difficult to find out how to transfer my tokens and how the application general work.  However, with this development I will work hard to see how I am going to research and send my nem to wechat wallet in days to come.

That is a definitely a good news for NEM community, but does anybody know the plugin functionality? Will we be able to deposit and transfer NEM from one account to another ? It can be an interesting window for “OTC” Exchange. If such activity will be allowed then NEM will get another Poliniex like size market...fingers crossed

I just installen NEM wallet for a bounty campaign and i like the wallet and network.
Wechat integration is really nice feature. I am using NEM for few hours and i already love this.

If this is true than it will be very big for NEM, maybe we can expect a huge pump when this is official. I used wechat previously and it was a nice experience. Its definitely superior to Whatsapp and if it implements a crypto wallet supporting NEM now on top, there is only one direction for NEM.

Now they have stabilized and are up 100% since 08.12.17 11:00 UTC.
or down 29% on 24H.
Depends on how you view it.

how could this be a pump and dump?
1) if you check the chart, the buy up volume is much higher than the sold volume after that.
2) if you look at 1hr bittrex XEM/BTC, this is a healthy correction, with a retracement to 0.5 or 0.618 level.
3) It is still up more than 2.2x before the surge.

Most probably they are not going to answer you here. Here is the NEM announcement thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=654845.0.. You will get you answer there or find their telegram link. NEM devs are very active in their telegram groups.

WeChat is a very powerful presence in China. There should be hundreds of millions of users. If this news is correct, it is very good. I hope that it will be realized soon. This is of benefit to anyone.
