Anyone know what the current wait times are to get Level 3 verification on Kraken? I submitted three days ago. In the mean time, is there any down side to selling btc and holding cash in my Kraken account until I can get verified and transfer it out?

I am a little concerned because the driver's license I submitted has my old address which doesn't match the utility bill I submitted as proof of residency. Is that going to be a problem?

In my case it took a long time to verify my account, if my memory does not fail me, it took about a week to verify my account



you must wait for them to verify your account and only after that you can deposit, trade and make withdrawals



When I verify my account, my passport has my old address and my proof of residence has my current address and they verify my account with no problems.

Thanks for the info. How long ago did you go through Tier 3 verification? I'm wondering if 1 week is representative of the current wait time.

was 2 months ago, at the time I was annoyed because they were taking too long to send me an email with the answer if they had or not verified my account, I confess that I lost the hope that they would send me email, but they send the email confirming that my account was already verified

Should be up to two weeks. Usually KYC procedures take 2-7 days, as they need to be manually reviewed. Kraken is one of the biggest (and probably one of the most appealing to newbies) Bitcoin exchanges. With all the newfound interest in Bitcoin, it wouldn't be surprising for there to be a huge backlog of verifications.

Don't worry. Be patient and you should be fine. If you really need BTC ASAP, you could try using Localbitcoins, a Bitcoin ATM, or another p2p exchange.
