Most of the time when coin has made a new high just like we have seen Bitcoin and Ethereum did in the last few weeks, then profit taking will take place. Traders who have been holding coin and are already in profit will sell off and get ready to re enter the market at a price which is lower ofcourse. Profit taking is one the reasons

Well analysed, another reason is that when price gets high , speculations of emminent crash starts flying in which leads to panic selling. The panic selling will in the long run lead to dumping.

Price dump? Its normal because people do tend to sell of their coins on huge volume which we can able to see price decrease which is normal on this volatile market of crypto. Its just a simple economics subject regarding on supply and demand of a certain thing. The higher the demand the price increase, The more supply than on demand then expect prices would really be low.Its just like that.

Coins prices do dump because the demand has reduced and supplies are very high and this happen often because of the speculations, news, panic and new developments around bitcoin. If you know how order book work, you have a great trading secret in your hands. For example bitcoin prices is currently going up because of the demands for bitcoin and many holders are not ready to sell there coin and this limit the the steady flow of bitcoin that will create scarcity in bitcoin supply and this keep the price going up.

The journey begins with buying, hodling and selling when the price goes up.
The idea is always to be in profit. As you hold a coin , you watch out for the price to increase. At the slight change in change in the North direction (pump), every holder would want to release a good qty (dump).

It becomes very bad if the dump happens and there is no corresponding recovery or attempt by speculators to pick up the dumped coins.

In all, expect a pump and dump of any coin. There is always a point of correction.

Presumably you mean alt coins and the reason is because of bitcoins success, when bitcoin is growing so much people experience FOMO and then they dump their altcoins in order to buy bitcoin, simples.

1.You are too novice to start trading.Stop  taking the losses and work on your basics.

2.The price pump or dump is unpredictable, you will learn that with experience. For now, keep trading with small volumes however you can and learn from the mistakes.

3.There are no sites that would teach you how to control your money but your experience.Keep reading about the price charts thought.

4.Don't take advises from traders as the techniques that worked out for them won't necessarily work out for you.

Coins with solid project, tech, devs and leaders usually dump because of bitcoin rallies but they always recover. Shitcoins can dump anytime just because a group is playing pump&dump schemes. Of course there is also technical analysis involved. Many factors to take into account..  Try to hodl the coins you believe in long term, unless you are an experienced wave rider and you're able to build your profits along the way.

You can see that bitcoin is attracting too much money flowing to it so the altcoin is deeply reduced is understandable. But then things will get better as markets begin to stabilize back in early 2018, which is the time for the entire crypto market to grow.

You will really never know when the coins will start to pump or dump , as if anyone knows, that's how trading works. Manipulation is part of the game on some altcoins that why you need to play the game to make profit. In most of the scenarios, when bitcoin price is surging, some altcoins experiencing a downtrend, some are not. The situation varies from time to time and the reasons why they are experiencing pump or dump have different reasons on which some of them, we doesn't know why.

You must learn to analyzed the current situation so that you can make a plan on what things should you do. Actually you can improved your trading skills just by building experienced. No need for so much hard study in order to understand trading knowledge. Some of the idea were automatically adopted by your mind.

Wells said, it's just that simple. Another it's a pump and dump scheme. First they endorse the coin by promoting, then buying coins at cheap price and then building up the buzz and pumping. When they see desirable buy orders that is profitable for them, they would sell the all the coins they have and that's it.

Those are probably and THE only reasons of why most of the altcoins dropped between yesterday and the whole week:

1# Bitcoin went from ten thousand dollars to more than fifteen thousand dollars, and this created a lot of FUD between a lot of altcoins, so they moved their alt's money to bitcoin, increasing bitcoin price, but decreasing altcoin prices.

2# Nobody wanted to loss the big train of bitcoin rally, so they moved their funds again

3# Altcoins are never following bitcoin pattern, that is why when bitcoin goes up, alts go down, and vice versa.

dump is where a person with a large number of coins sells it simultaneously that keeps the market price down drastically, and for some altcoins it may be that today many are affected by the rise in bitcoin which causes the altcoin price to fall, due to the very high increase of bitcoin prices, and when the market demand for altcoin gets smaller it causes the price to decrease due to the amount of altcoin that is too much

Right, usually when the BTC price is getting higher, most of altcoins are getting dumped. I think it normally in cryptocurrency, as the best crypto, BTC always be the first priority of investors, then Dev of altcoins also being busy to increase their BTC before maintain their altcoins.

Yeah,, why some Dev can't be trusted in maintaining their altcoins? Because they just think about their profit,, they never thinking about the future of their coins, therefore some altcoins dead.

Hummp.. it's really bad time to invest in altcoin I think, it's absolutely unsafe for now. Because altcoin price is getting dumped.
Moreover, the BTC price is always rise and rise everytime. Should by for BTC right now and hold for profitable investment.

Any altcoin is volatile. Pump and dump is normal view of the price in the market.
The main reason why altcoin dump because many people sell it in some point. It because take profit or panic sell. All making the price dump. If the dump is very low, mean like that altcoin is just get pumping and dumping again.

Yes, they become panic when the coins price get lower, and they also sell their coins for gain bitcoin, and their plan is to holding bitcoin due to the price so high than before.

They won't think about another coins, they just chase bitcoin, meanwhile ETH seems in preparing on their plan to get higher value, i think it should be considered as good investment too for now.
The price getting dump and now is the good time to invest in some altcoin stuff.

Some experts at charting markets like the stock market can make educated guesses about the cryptocurrency markets, but they aren’t always right. This recent huge increase in Bitcoin to over $19,000 was probably not predicted by many but it was such a huge increase that I think most of us knew there would be some kind of correction. We just couldn’t tell when it would be.

Those large spikes in price are not sustainable, and there is usually a sell off to take profits. The more you follow the cryptocurrency markets the more you get used to those things happening. But it is still very volatile and unpredictable much of the time.

I read an article just now about how coin price dump and it says that because of two group of people and the first group are those players who play by artificially increasing the price of the Bitcoin by endorsing or promoting it. The other one, I bet it will be better for you to read the article to find the other group of people.
Here is the link of an article which will give you an answer including the price pump. (https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@tonylondon/how-bitcoin-pumps-and-dumps-work)
