I guess Google's algorithms are slightly overzealous in translating Italian terms to English equivalents.

Anyway, in many countries (including Italy) credit card records are not private and are shared with taxing authorities in order to detect lifestyles expenses that don't match declared income.  So there's an extra privacy concern wrt. using credit cards for sexual purchases: not only will they be stored on the credit card's history, but someone in the local tax office is guaranteed to also know about your escapades.

To pay an amount of 1.000,00 EUR or higher it is necessary to either use debit cards, credit cards or non-transferable cheques or to pay by bank transfer. Fines start from 3000,00 EUR up to 40% of the payed amount. Since January 1st 2014, payments for rental fees (holiday homes included) cannot be payed cash regardless of the amount.
