Title: Can You Do This On Coinbase?
Post by: loopylou on December 09, 2017, 12:09:33 AM
I'm a Canadian but wanted to fund my account with my US credit debit or US credit card. I'm having problems with the small amounts they deduct for verification; I see the amounts in my account(s) and enter them in, but it says it does not match their records.

I was curious if there was any type of conversion going on when the two charges hit my account, since my address is in Canada and I'm using a US credit card, so I changed "local currency" preferences to USD. Tried again and the same thing happened. Called bank and they just see what I see: two amounts of, say, $1.49 USD and $1.08 in pending transactions.

I notice others have this error happen and coinbase is so bogged down now I don't really wanna wait a week for a response.

Is there any reason to assume using a US credit card when my address states Canada would be an issue? It certainly isn't on any other payment processor I've ever used in my lifetime online.

I have tried with two US credit debit cards two times for each card over the past 2 days. I always get the small amounts deducted from my account and can clearly see them, but when entering them into coinbase they always say the numbers do not match their records  :-\
