Post by: Lethn on July 16, 2013, 05:44:19 PM Should have been just a dude in a university dormitory with several fans pointing at at some GPU's :D To be fair on Bitcoiners though a lot of them including me are going around trying to set up real businesses and produce things rather than just mine Bitcoins all day, that said, I joined Bitcoin when everyone was past the GPU mining phase.

That rig looks like its from the mid 80's. Although I would bet the kid in that photo owns a couple bitcoins. :D If "what I really do" was a true representation of the average bitcoin owner, it would probably be an educated male in their mid 20s sitting in front of a high performance PC.
