Keep in mind that the volume of BTC is still ridiculously low compared to non-cryptocurrency markets.
That will change now. It's expected that a huge amount of money is incoming.

In my opinion it is time to buy BTC now. I already took all my money from altcoins straight into BTC.
I moved all my BTC (via LTC because it's much faster) to Binance Exchange - because Binance was very reliable so far regarding forks and support.

If futures then BTC will fall! Because futures provide the ability to earn with price dump

You are right anyway, there are a lot of good news about bitcoin that are going to affect bitcoin in some days, but nobody is looking it at the right side.

Everybody is just panicking.

You are right, Bitcoin is the best choice. So much free coins... And BTC value is going to increase too. I am also putting all on BTC.

Sadly, the banksters and fiattraders started to spread FUD and people are panicking.

If the BTC price fall, these banksters will get a lot of money by placing short futures.

We could now be strong and let them lose!  DO NOT SELL! We need to withstand it and show them the middlefinger.  :P

well, I didn't lose anything, I made profit, but will buy back right after the dip. I hope it will go a little lower :)

7 HF ... looks like the new era of the useless scam forks on Bitcoin ... this is just unsustainable and soon it will pop.

there are many useless forks on december. No one can help transfers speed or price. But futures trading is something different. it can help btc price go up because many big investors still dont know about cryptoworld. they will look first btc price grafiks and than will say woow look at the huge profit than they will start to buy real btc too. in futures they dont buy real btc but they make decision of price will go up or go down. as i said important thing is many people will learn btc and than will buy that will help price rise .

At the end of the result will depend on the community. All of these forks have no purpose at all. Remember that was no generating the consensus. It's easy to make another fork of the bitcoin. But basically the fork must have done by the consensus and that was not a community decision.

It can peacefully skyrocket without me, go bitcoin! This game is for newbies who need to learn how to lose. I don't care even if bitcoin will be $1M tomorrow. This coin is only used for speculation and making money.

these forks are already known to be useless forks and i doubt that many people would be interested in them to want to buy bitcoin for.

Lightning Network is great news but it seems to be so far away from being ready for actual deployment and then a long time is needed for adoption of it and people learning how to use it.

So many positive news for Bitcoin in the upcoming days. The futures trading is going to be opened very soon and it might spike up the price of Bitcoin since there will be many wall street traders out there keeping an eye on BTC. The forks have no use since people will eventually dump the forked coin to increase their BTC capital since this has been happening all the time. The lightning network is the one thing that I have been waiting for a while and it might develop the BTC network overall and might speed up BTC transactions reducing the fees. This may be a great achievement for BTC.

To an extent yes many are speculating based on the news and way now things are moving for bitcoin. Its more about knowing the future what bitcoin holds that is driving the prices crazy and its rise. On the other hand will this fork be a successful one or will it just get cancelled like the last fork which was about to happen and finally was called off?

good luck with your transactions at 20$, 48h hours waiting to confirm, and total no privacy of how much you hold (so you can be traced by  hackers and even tax officers...), and no, lightning network is not a solution at all..

You guys treat BTC like gold, but forgot that BTC is SOFTWARE... Should Windows 1.0 be more expensive than Windows 10? . just because it was the first windows??, so wait  exchanges like coinbase, etc add more coins to buy from FIA and you´ll see nobody gives a **** about BTC.. even LTC is gaining value this days because many people buying at coinbase, prefer LTC over BTC... because BTC it´s useless in modern world... even VISA, or traditional bank wires is doing the same faster and cheaper. BTC  is not the King of anything is the first.. but software value is simply about it´s usability.... don´t invest in obsolete software...

I don't agree with you, most of what you wrote is actually hurting Bitcoin price.

Futures trading will bring in money from experienced investors with full pockets who will probably short it and I wouldn't be surprised if Bitcoin crashed hard in upcoming days.

Also, the forks are destroying the value and people's trust in Bitcoin. It is basically printing money out of thin air, and all these forks are useless and are only made to make developers rich.

bitcoin is  a  concept  with big  fans   that's  the reason  why it's  number one.
If people  is  stupid  to  have sentimentalism  about an useless  coin  like bitcoin,  you should  use  this  to  gain profit

Shitcoins like Doge or digibyte do the same much faster, cheaper and better...so btc is the first, no the king..

People don´t enter BTC for sentimentalism, they enter because someone that bough when it was cheap tells them it makes money and buys lambos, and they´re hooked in the PONZI trend...
So yes people buy because they think it will make money out of nothing, not because they plan to use it in anyway.. and even if they used it, they will find how it´s not solving anything... their Visa card or paypal can do the same faster and cheaper... and at somepoint that will create the question of why the hell do i need this.
Gold is gold, it was always valuable in the world... It has hundres of uses either in industry or in jewellery... and obsolete software got no use but that you call sentimentalism.. so watch out because 2018 could not be so great for BTC as 2017

I could not agree more, don't sell BTC and let the banksters HOLD more BTC than us all. Soon they'll manipulate us in all ways.

it's unusable for transactions, doesn't work as a store of value and is a huge energy-suck that only gets worse as the price rises

at this point this shit has gotten so clearly absurd that i won't even feel bad for the suckers losing their life-savings when btc inevitably comes crashing down

edit: i hope instead of crashing it cools down and flatlines/slowly downtrends until they fix the issues, but given the mania going on this might not happen
