I have prepared a table that I added here below, which contains the statistics of the bitcoin value growth in percentage during the last 3 years : 2015, 2016 and finally 2017. We can clearly see that the bitcoin's value has achieved an exceptional growth this year, knowing that the value is multplied in 4 in 6 months. So, in your opinion how much will be the  growth in percentage during 2018 ?

that table seems to be missing important context. bitcoin experienced massive growth in 2011 and 2013. in the context of price action from 2009 to the present, this kind of growth was not unexpected by true bitcoin believers.

the question for me is this: is this another hype cycle followed by a long term bear cycle, as we've seen several times before in bitcoin's history? or is it possible that we are actually seeing the S-curve of technology adoption unfold before our eyes? if we really are following the S-curve like cell phones and the internet, the price is going to go much higher---and fast---due to the extremely limited supply of bitcoins.

a year ago, i never thought i would say this. but i believe million dollar bitcoins are only a few years away. what a time to be alive.... :o

There are many studies made by specialists in economics and cryptocurrencies which shows that the value of Bitcoin will have a raise again (maybe over 25k US dollars in the middle of 2018). But we don't have to forget that all of this is predictions, so we don't know what is going to happen in the few months. Also it can be banned by some countries -like the case of India- and it can have a huge drop.
No one can predict its value because it is so volatile nowadays.

I think Bitcoin has achieved escape velocity now. Awareness of Bitcoin is many times bigger than it was at the end of 2013. Back then it was still an oddity. Now that it has achieved steady rapid upward momentum for many months (instead of short insane spikes that last like two months) Bitcoin is always in the news and for the first time governments are figured out laws around it and businesses are adopting blockchain technology which indirectly helps to legitimize Bitcoin (no matter what detractors try to say about separating Bitcoin from blockchain).

This seems to finally be the start of the rise of up the spine of the S-curve. Growth will only get faster and faster in raw dollar values for the next few years. I don't know where the top lies but I'm guessing it will be north of $500k.

So let's see 2017 isn't over but let's just say Bitcoin grew $15k this year. Next year we should expect a lot more than that, so perhaps $45k growth up to $60k.

$60k seems like a fair guess.

A double on the price of 2017 will be fair enough for 2018's price of bitcoin. Bitcoin might end up this year at $20,000 which is 2000% from the previous year but we can't say that it will happen on the next years because of many factors. More people are now investing on it but more people will be hesitant on buying the coin at the price of $20k so most likely they will just invest on some part of it and we can't have the same increase that we experienced this year. $40,000 is a conservative estimate I believe.

Yeah I'd say the absolute bottom estimate for end of 2018 is a doubling of 2017. Since it was only at $1000 to start 2017, a doubling in 2018 would represent the same growth in dollars as this year plus $1000. If anything the growth should be much lower in percentage but much higher in dollar value because network effect and adoption curves are never linear, and I don't see anything coming to suddenly hurt Bitcoin in a major way so growth should continue. So $1000 more growth, putting it at just over double end of 2017 price ($30k-$40k) is a good baseline target. Though likely the reality will far outstretch that, I expect it'll more likely quadruple rather than double in 2018. So $60k wouldn't surprise me at all.

It a fact that bitcoin is making a great revolution in the economic field. Its price did not stop increasing since it has been created. Specially in 2017, the price of bitcoin made an awesome pic. I personnaly think that it will reach a higher level and price which can be around of 30.000 dollars

It's not something predictable. We can never know this. We can predict that the adoption and the rise of bitcoin continue, but the rate of this event is unknown here with lots of market parameters.

Bitcoin price at least $70.000 end of 2018.

Statistics in that table have no meaning and we can't predict Bitcoin value according to it because you have to go back to the first year when bitcoin was released
then you will realize that it is too volatile.
During last years Bitcoin knew many upwards and downwards in its price which makes it really unpredictable thus your analysis have to be deeper.

Before I did not expect high in bitcoin but for ne because the price is already near in 17k dollars I think the possible price lf the bitcoin in the year of 2018 or few months after in 2018 will be 30k dollars . But we don't know if the price happen because even the price continue to increase they have posibility the price will decrease once many people sell their bitcoin. The future lf the bitcoin will be in our hands.

I have a strong believe that Bitcoin market value Will reach  $30,000 if $40,000 before end of December next year. AAlthough there might be a price fluctuations or correction along the way but the above value will be reach all things been equal.

Yes, Bitcoin price will rise, but I don't think the price will drop easily. Many people will sell their coins but they are not supposed to sell their coins at the same time. Supply will increase, but demand will increase too.

It will grow more as compared to this year because new year will bring more new investors to the community and all this will give benefit to the people and bitcoin it will grow more faster in coming years because now people want this coin to be implemented as the proper currency and this required the huge no of user all across the world so be ready for the currency time of bitcoin to come and rule world in good way.

The chance of growth will increase in the next year because this year will deliver the already good prices to the 2k18 and more advertisement to the bitcoin will bring large no of investor to the community and this will bring the more success rate to the chart shown above if we want to see bitcoin more progressive then we have to play our role and convince people to invest onto bitcoin so that it can get circulated as well.

The bitcoin has a steady growth in the past years and in the year 2018 i is expected to grow at a high rate because the users are rising and the bitcoin is now the payment system in the developed countries the countries are making policy for the bitcoin as a regular currency. the digital nature of the currency may cause it less important for some time.

It means, the growth value of the bitcoin in 2018 would be 4.67 %, which in my opinion very very high, and derives from an extremly optimistic vision !
Worse yet, I've read many optimistic models and I've never seen that Bitcoin will touch the 70,000 dollar by the end of 2018. However, everything is possible and we can not say anything about the potential of the bitcoin, because everything that is happening is unbelievable.

how about stabilization with the price first before making another movement with the price ?
to be honest right now we're seeing a lot of crazy thing,
we're overhyping it because the price moving like a crazy toward this level without a significant correction.
indeed lately we heard a lot of good news that happened with bitcoin and will happen with it in the near future,
but the problem that we're facing right now with the network itself not solved yet,
do not you think it whould be nice for us to see a significant improvement that will happen with Bitcoin in 2018 and then stabilizing its price.
afterward we can make a good move,
because we need an improvement to prevent Bitcoin become a bubble in the future.
if we keep moving like this,i am afraid Bitcoin will be a bubble in no time.

The important factors that we need to kept in mind was BTC have value.

I think the value grow would be +50% or more, this is only estimation.

Nevertheless we all know that bitcoin is solely going to rise.

As long as something bad will not happen like banning it in most urban and powerful countries like what China did. Hope the growth will be stable for the time being and will not stop on rising. All we can do is wait, those whales that manipulates it and the holders that holds the most of BTC are in motion. Just hold still and don't be stupid and be drag by the red arrows in these few days.

We dont need to see that kind of speculations, because it is easy to predict how much will bitcoin increase over the recent charts.

But you must know that the charts are never going to predict the price, maybe they can give us an expected price, but it will never be exact.

And if it keeps going up by the same way, bitcoin could probably be touching more than $250k by September of 2018, obviously that this is not possible because there are a lot of billions that needs to be invested in bitcoin to see those prices.

It will probably be $30k or $50k by next year, not more.

At least $70.000 end of 2018 ....

Right now, I find it hard for me to predict what will be the price of bitcoin. Why? It started last week two weeks ago. Bitcoin price starts pumping to the point that every time I woke up it added 1,000 USD. I really did not saw that coming. That time bitcoin for me is very unpredictable and right now I think all my predictions are wrong.
I guess I will just find ideas to different predictions I have read then I will just monitor bitcoin. Hopefully by next year even though bitcoin is still unpredictable it still did the same thing which is “pumping”. It is also ok if the pump is little by little. The important thing is that it is pumping.

If we want more then 1566% gain in 2017 price of Bitcoin at end of year need to be over $16326.


I skipped first year 2010. That year was for sure best fro Bitcoin. rice growth most. 2013 was second best and 2017 will most likely be 3rd best year for Bitcoin.
