I know it's a long shot on here, but why not?!

For sale 1997 Toyota Supra Single Turbo Renaissance Red (15th Anniversary Edition). Clean title. No accidents causing damage (got rear ended once at 10 mph, only needed repaint and no bumper change; lifetime paint warranty by #1 paint shop).It has 118,xxx miles (condition trumps mileage!!). Engine has approximately 95k (I'll have to double check). Why different motor?!? Not for anything bad or nefarious, read the following history.

History
In my quest to purchase a Toyota Supra, I decided I want a hardtop (hardtops are sought over targas for rigidity; they are rare), late model (slight redesign for 97-98 models), turbo, with low miles, and not many owners. Seeing as how this is ridiculously hard to get, I somewhat made it happen. Found an original owner of a 1997 model with decent mileage (owner was in his 70s), however it was not turbo, but it was a hardtop (not produced after 1995) and it was a 1997!. The original owner was extremely meticulous and kept every receipt and even the window sticker (!) since day one, so I had to buy it.

Immediately after purchasing it, I started changing things to my liking. As I am in California and they are nazis when it comes to smog laws, my quest began for finding a USDM 1997 Turbo motor (1998 model is not legal since Toyota never did california certifcation and you cannot put an older motor into your car; plus I wanted to be as original as possible). There were roughly 800 or so of this model made so its like trying to find a needle in a haystack for a car almost 20 years old. I did in fact find it and pulled it personally from the working car (lucked out as the owner had a brand new spare he built for racing). All work has been performed on the car by myself only as I am meticulous and I knew I wouldn't cut corners. I have made numerous modifications, however the body is original and I would never put any silly kit on the car. It's beautiful the way it is.

This car is a show stopper in stock form or built up. It's a fricking Supra! You can't really go anywhere without people video taping or snapping photos of you, so if that's a problem, you definitely don't want this car.

Complete Greddy T78 Single Turbo
Greddy EVO2 Catback exhaust system
Frontmount intercooler
Bosch Racing 1200CC injectors
Dual pump fuel system with -8AN feed lines.
AEM V1 Engine Management System
3 AEM Gauges (I really did not want to have gauges, but they really are a necessity with this car build)
Leather power seats
2012 Flagship Pioneer Stereo Z140BH (+upgraded interior speakers to Pioneers)
Relocated battery to trunk to beautify my engine bay
Euro Glass headlights with painted interior to match 1997-1998 headlight interior color
Some fancy viper alarm that works 1000m away; don't recall model.
Hand polished a bunch of engine bay parts (see photo)
Top of the line Tokico Shocks/springs combo w/ 500 miles on them (+spare Tein S-Tech Springs w/ 1500 miles)
Chrome interior bezels
Momo Pitstop e-brake handle (discontinued and highly sought!)
Genuine leather e-brake cover
3 Spoke Toyota Steering wheel w/ OEM TRD center button added
Rear seats are velvet like red/black color scheme (the front was too, however I switched back to powered leather front seats)
Air diversion panel (above intercooler)
Twin Turbo front brake calipers w/ goodridge steel braided lines (purchased set from Titan Motorsports)
Apexi Active Tail Silencer (pressure sensitive spring; opens up WOT and closes while cruising to be quiet)
Transmission cooler with fan (wired to green switch under stereo/ in front of shifter)

My engine swap was completely to factory spec and even includes a complete drivetrain swap. I even paid $1300 for a brand new engine harness as I refused to cut my harness or do anything ghetto.

Honestly...a ton of little things here and there, e.g. my center console didnt close the way I wanted, so I bought a new one. My driver's armrest had a slight warp, so I bought a new one. I did a lot of these type of fixes/mods.

This is an automatic transmission (my first time owning one!), so I know people will hate on that, but I figured when you put down 700+ HP, I rather keep two hands on my steering wheel. Not to mention, I just cruise anyhow.

I did all this stuff for fun. This car has NEVER been raced. I drive like a grandma and have a family. I just like to build stuff.

I'll leave a picture here. If there is interest I'll add the engine bay shot; its beautiful.

There is some front bumper damage that I'll show a pic of soon (Intercooler pipe popped off from the inside once and a section of the paint got messed up, but no physical damage)

Sorry my car isn't that clean. I just decided now to sell it and this was a random photo I took when I thought it was looking mighty fine outside a bit ago.

Held record for the best braking performance of any production car tested in 1997 by Car and Driver magazine. This record was finally broken in 2004 by a Porsche Carrera GT.

The aftermarket market is still HUGE. The 2JZ is probably one of the MOST, if not most, famous Japanese engine.

Sure thing.. To be honest, I have gone back and forth on selling it a few times. It is the only car that I have ever owned that makes me feel that "feeling" all over again when I sit in it like the day I first bought it. I love driving it. You really feel like you're in a cockpit since everything is angled towards the driver. So many owners have gone on to other cars, said the same thing, and regretted it.

When I went to purchase it, one thing I said to the original owner (remember in his 70s) was "where is the cupholder?" He said, "there are none. This car is driving, not drinking." True story.

So about how many HP is the car with your mods?

The fuel system supports roughly 1000 HP.

The current Greddy T78 supports around 750 HP.

These engines can handle 900-1000 HP stock without modification, although I wouldn't advise if you plan to beat on it.

To create more HP for my car, literally, I only need to change the turbo. That's it. Nothing else because every other support system, including a complete Standalone Car Engine Management System (AEM), multiple fuel pumps, larger injectors, etc. have already been installed.

Honestly, 600-700 HP seems plenty to me, but in the world of Supras, it's just a baby ;p

Whats the mileage on the new motor? Do you have the title for the engine?

Who tuned this car? Any dyno sheets to prove whp? 

The mileage is in the original post. I'll take a look to get exact. I have a signed bill  of sale with VIN number from original owner of engine (I pulled it with owner at his house).

I personally tuned the car (I can tune AEM systems), however I never went for max HP as its not my thing. I went for drivability. So a little dyno tuning and mostly street tune (with heavy analyzation of the telemetry). Being a programmer, I actually developed software to analyze logs to auto tune the car that I might sell. I spent no less than 100 hrs doing so. I also built it for great mileage when driving conservatively.

I did try twice to dyno it  at a well known places in San Diego. Both times they were unable to do so because it generately so much torque and would break traction. We even tried with sand bags and two people in the back.

I put a Apexi Active Tail silencer on it so that it wouldn't be when cruising (it's SOOO quiet cruising). However, it has a spring in it that allows it to open up if you floor it. I really did just drive this like a grandma. It's a fun show stopper no matter where you go.

This car has FAR more work into it then even mentioned in the original post.

I was interested in this until the 2nd picture revealed that it's an automatic.

Except that the autos are faster and those that go for serious power generally switch to a built auto.... (I was going to do this). There is even a thread on the supraforums in the drag section regarding "save the 6 speeds!" lol

Nonetheless, you could always switch it easily.

Have you ever boosted 25+ lbs on a high HP car? I am a wuss and it's pretty damn scary. I prefer to keep both my hands on the steering wheel.

A lot of people have expressed interest in trading BFL Singles for my car as well. I may entertain these offers, however my goal is at least $28k BTC, so I have to be able to get roughly that if I am selling your singles (or single + BTC).

Whether you're trading Avalons or BFL products, they are a means to end and I have no preference of one over the other. However at this time, Avalons are slightly higher in value and this is most likely due to being a hire hash rate and possible future upgrade, but feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Very clean Supra. A year or two from now I'd be interested solely to own one as a dyno queen. I'm sticking with AWD for my track rat ;D GLWS, hopefully it goes to someone who will respect the car. Makes me sad when I see trashed Supras although I see fewer and fewer as they get wrecked by people.

I agree. That's why this car has all original body styling except for the JDM license plate pods; they really add a uniqueness to the car. Nothing like having a unique car thats even more unique among its own kind :) I couldn't turn down the chance to buy it from the original owner and to save it from being butchered by some kid who's seen Fast and the Furious too many times. Additionally, elderly original owner? YUP. I gotta buy it. He was a great gentleman and whoever it buys it from me I'll share the story with since he was a slightly prominent figure.

Nearly every Supra owner I know owns a 1993 or 1994. I know no other 1997 owner personally, although I have seen one or two.
