Hi, I am new in this field how to diversify my investment for 2018 for max prifit. Please suggest which alt coin is best for 2018. I have already having investment in bitcoin. Please suggest. I would like to go with LTC 40% ETH 30% BTCH 10% NEO 20% . Is it correct calculation. I have 60% other BTC. Plse suggest. thanks a lot for expert advices. Now I feel I have to go with LTC XMR DASH ETH apart from BTC (separate fund I have 60%). Can anybody suggest best % should I invest. I am from South asian country.

Just invest into only the potential coins,never choose cheap coins maybe those coins will fade away with the time.So buy ethereum,litecoin and monero with your money.I expect these coins will give huge profits in the year 2018.And never ignore bitcoin also because it is the king of crypto so it also give us good profits in the coming years.

I agree with you, even a good project's coin may be cheap but bitcoin or ethereum can give you more profit in the long term. You should be very careful with that amount of money in this market.

Go with ADA it is likely the most low risk high reward currently available on the market.

that's alot of money, yeah I agree choose coins that are already establish like monero / bitcoin / Litecoin / Dash etc. If you really insist in investing to new ICO then do some intensive research about the project cause some are really promising and has a strong backbone support from their team and community. Though, in my opnion it's better to invest it in bitcoin or monero.

Very very hard question. I wish I know correct answer honestly. One thing I am sure: best portfolios contain more than enough bitcoin and other good coins like monero, litecoin, ethereum, nerm, neo..

Personally, i think Rise has a potential although lisk and rise have similarities but I still go for rise.. I like the platform and base on my research. Reasons to invest in RISE: Blockchain Incubator, Mobile app store, fast and easy to use wallet, staking, low market cap. All in all RISE is great!!!

I would place a big % in the top dogs, and maybe a 20% in the best lower cap alt coin projects (such as OMG, WTC, XLM etc)

If you want non-risky investment you should buy ETH, LTC, XMR, DASH, maybe ZEC. They are most stable coins, which grow up. Also you can buy NEO, but China is unreliable market

Stick to the top 10 or 20 coins like most of them said, Invest in BTC at least 30-40% of the total , as it's the most stable coin. (not the value, as a coin ) ,

ICO's will be a great chance for you too. Make sure to specially read  their whitepaper, and user reviews, People behind the project, if you are a big investor try to contact at least some of them personally and ask them about their vision. so you can get a clear understanding about it.

Be careful and do your due diligence when investing sums like this. Especially if you are fresh newbie in crypto.

Investing in the top 20-30 coins will most likely be the safest investment with decent returns.

Do look at the trading history to see if you are not trading at the top of a fresh bull run.

i think you can buy bitcoin - btc and hold , i believe the bitcoin price can hit $40000 end 2018 .

Here we with the guys collect all ICO projects with a well-working product. This is an important indicator. if you have big fund like this, choose popular altcoin like you mention above is good option.

Investing in cryptocurrency is a relatively high risk therefore it should be well thought out by the user himself. You need to learn the market of cryptocurrency.

you have a good list and I think the percentage is good too. I think you can go with your first option which is LTC 40%, ETH 30%, BCH 10%, and NEO 20%. and if you want to buy XMR, DASH then you can use 30% from the separate fund of 60% so you still have 30% in bitcoin. maybe this is not the best suggestion but you can analyze before you decide to buy that coins.

I would normally stay away from bitcoin, but with the futures now and the option to hedge I might see myself reducing my risks for the Q1 of 2018.

$50,000 is a huge investment for cryptocurrencies. Let me give you a simple advice regarding the altcoins you want to invest. Choose only those cryptocurrencies who are having a great reputation and those with projects that are completely out-of-the-box.

Before you invest, please take your time in going to ICO directory sites like ICO Bench and see their ratings. Read their roadmap, whitepaper and check if their team members are real by going in their social media accounts like LinkedIn (or having a great reputation before).

Bitcoin, Litecoin, Monero, Ethereum

For a much smaller investment and if you're in an Asian market I would consider a coin you could keep an eye on easily:
NEM or Monacoin from Japan
NEO or Red Pulse from China

You need to follow the market though, some coins can dive within a day, it makes for an exciting and dangerous investment experience.

With this parabolic rise its hard to predict when BTC will correct, but most likely alts are better to enter now than BTC because they are on the ground and BTC is way up in the sky. That being said, if BTC continues it will morph alts even more.

if i were you only invest on the top cryptocurrencies on coinmarketcap currently since you have a large money to invest with and also, don't invest on low priced altcoins that doesn't make to the top 10 because of uncertainty of coin.anyways  that is a good options to invest but i suggest that you should lower your allocation to bitcoin and invest on ETH or IOTA since bitcoin is very risky nowadays and you could lose a huge some of money if a crash happened again. but if had 50k i will invest my 40% on bitcoin, 30% on eth, 10% bitcoin cash 10% on LTC and lastly 10% on IOTA anyways good luck and i hope you will earn a lot.

IOTA and Ethereum are the only altcoins I believe in. They have real advantages and they will probably be used by big companies and the mass market.

have you ever thought of joining a token sale of some new altcoin? if so, I think HDAC and Crypterium are some of the right choices to invest. both have good prospects, a solid team, and a mature concept

If I were you, I'd go with some solid ICOs. By solid I mean:
- presenting real hardcap value in their solution (no virtual projects)
- really involved in using blockchain technology (not only to generate coins)

invest btc at prices now is a unfortunate, I advise to buy eth, waves and some dividend tokens like a edg, wetrust, taas or you can buy a quality ICO like NPX from devlopher napoleon .

You should fully understand that a max profit = max risk. You should be very careful with investments in crypto. Maximum ROI you can get from ICO, but there are a lot of scams. So my advice is to invest your money at the most known coins AFTER!!! a grand correction will happen. If you invest now you will probably get losses.

I like your second portfolio the best. Dash and XMR are great for the long term. Both have had an absolutely incredible year.

Buy them and forget about it. Then just read and learn for the next 3 months and then analyze again and see if there is something you might like to sell some profit from to add more coins.

Well, good news is you have a good capital of course.So you have plenty of opportunities to make profits from them.And you did right to buy bitcoin.I am sure you would be able to cut good profits from it.
Anyway, my suggestion will be buy ETH because it's really profitable.ETH price is rising incredibly.Your investment will be double in next year if you buy ETH today.And you can buy some LTC,DOGE,NEO also because they look promising.Remember that trading is unpredictable and quite risky.So do trade with that amount which you can afford to lose.

I heavily suggest you to buy bitcoins, ethereum, litecoin, or bitcoincash. They are the only coins worth and have solid future. Rest all are risky and uncertain.

If you trust that coin you will invest in as soon as possible. But BTCH is a BCH it is also high potential coin in future. So I prefer LTC 30℅ ETH 30℅ BCH 20℅ and NEO 20℅. In Ethereum is the centralised cryptocurrency so this  coin profit is less in market. But this is stable cryptocurrency this also good in future. Put 60% bitcoin base in your portfolio. This should stay constant so that you can protect yourself. Get 20% ethereum from the exchanges. Then 20% leaves there and you can divide this into 3-4 different altcoins from the good and high market cap ones.

May be your choice is good but if you can really earn a big profit then modify your portfolio LTC and ETH is good but replace BTCH and NEO. Bitcoin is good choice, beside Bitcoin other strong fundamental coin in my opinion is ETH, DASH, WAVES, OMG, NAV, NEBLIO, ARK and others new altcoin that just entered the market also has big potential like POWR, AION, DATA, WABI, ADA, TRX, LEND, VECHAIN. Many will try to recommend you different portfolios that will probably convince you to invest your money into it. I think you should study first the things you need to consider before investing than large amount of money into a project that your'e not sure of being a success. Knowledge about the market will help you to understand it more. And make you choose a project that surely make a profit for you.

Even though you can invest in coins like Bitcoin right now, I would invest in coins that are not too expensive.
Look for a coin that you can invest long term and hold on to it. I would suggest Ripple right now.

   My investing plan is similar, except Bitcoin I am looking into other alt-

If you already have bitcoin enough(for me its never enough for bitcoin for example ::)) you can buy top-10 in equal proportion. In compare to 2017, 1000$ invested in top-10 in the beginning gave 64000$ in the end of the year. Nobody knows how it will be the next year, but top-10 will always give you profit. You can try top-20 for example, but give top10-20 less than top1-10 ;)

I would invest at least %30-40 to bitcoin on good entry point.

Yes i agree with some of the last comments as regards Stellar and Ripple. I would invest in those too, i would consider long term in both of these coins.

I think that your list is quite good. But you did not allocate a couple of percent to participate in ICO or purchase new coins. But it is the new ones that often bring X10 and higher. I have high hopes for some ICO.

As for me, 40% of this money i will invest in BTC, 30% in Waves and also 30% in Bancor, because they are a very promising coin

If i have $50k i would buy 2BTCs and then all other funds will go to lowmarketcap coins that has potentials,the ones with existing product or services in real life.

As most people say, decide for your self how much money you want to put on:
- relative certainty (known coins and good tech)
- hoping it will increase strongly in the long run (good tech, not widely known)
- gamble (unknown coins)

Personally I would put 50-70% of such an amount on rather safe established coins so you are sure that that big amount of money does not fade away into nothing (monero, ethereum, neo, etc...). Personally I do not thrust the value of bitcoin to stay up at all, although a lot of people still heavily believe in it. Bitcoin also does not fulfil the 'good tech' requirement imo, everyone knows it is at its limits and that most other coins have a better foundation. Which is logical, it was the first one..

For the 'gamble' I would also aim for icos (e.g. crypterium), rather unknown coins which are rising (e.g. devs of anoncoin came back, casinocoin is booming since a new gambling goeroe joined the team), or just read up on new altcoins and try to determine which seem to be solid. In terms of coins with strong tech, I had quite some luck with Factom and Spectre (xspec), Deeponion lately. The latter two are hot because anonymity is hot again. But be advised that anyone will advise the coins they hold money in... since:
- they know them.. and you can't know all coins
- every time they mention it, there is a chance someone else invests in it and the coin grows bigger.
- if you invest, the price goes up for them, remember that!

You're welcome to the crypto currency world mate and I can tell you have already make a right decision by choose altcoin like XMR,DASH,ETH but if I were you I will invest most into Ripple, NEM, KMD and ICO. if you want to make your $ 50000 to $ 100000 even more in the near future, I advise you to invest in XVG, as XVG prices will rise next month and will continue to increase until the end of 2018.

If I have $50 k then I'll buy 3 BTC because current prices still stable yet no signs go up so I can enjoy the benefits on doubled in bitcoin later. I think this percentage is enough for him to try to invest his money and he can start to daily trading. with 30% of his money, he can try to make another profit in short term and of course, this will bigger if he has skills in trading so the profit will be bigger. besides that, with the percentage for altcoin he has, I am sure this will make him have a good portfolio that will work for a long term. but I suggest to choose not more than 5 altcoins for a long term because it will difficult to him to handle the coin but if he is able to do this, so he can do this with ease.

Most people here suggesting BTC and ETH as safe bets. While this is a good idea, I would also consider investing ~20-30% on some low market-cap promising alts, such as DeepOnion or COSS, in the circumstance that one of them moons, as well as more well known alts such as ADA or XLM.

Another idea, while more risky, could be allotting another 15% for PnD's, such as this one  (https://discord.gg/wn9PTRB), which can potentially net 2x, 3x, or even 4x, although the risk is larger, so invest with caution.

If you are a conservative investor then you should focus on the top altcoins so you can have a safer portfolio and you are not so exposed to the possible high risks that might be the cause for your portfolio to fall and have a lot of losses at the end of the year. First and foremost, I would like to congratulate you for deciding to invest $50k in cryptocurrency. However, let me give you some piece of advice on how you're going to manage your funds in investing to cryptocurrency.

If I had that amount, I would split that between $100 to $500 per coin or token. It's important that you shouldn't bet them all in one place. I had invested like 30+ cryptocurrencies/ICOs, and was expecting that some will pump and others will dump.

I admit that most of them dumped, but at least a few made me small to a "little bit big" profits.

For the portfolio, I suggest you go for some altcoins/tokens that are high in trading volume. You can also go for some coins/tokens that are below $0.20 in value, and some ICOs that were having a promising roadmap and team who can give value to investors in the long run.

You have set your portfolio by choosing the right cryptocurrencies. But if you want, you can put a small portion of your portfolio (about 1000 USD) on the promising ico projects or coins.

I see there are many people is interesting with ada and makes ada as their investment too. if we see in the order buy and sell, there a big number waiting to be filled. the up and down the price it seems running so fast and makes some trader have a difficulty to decide in what price they want to buy and sell.

You should diversify to different coins.. You'll have to conduct your own due diligence though.

btc - king always , returns may be lower this year but it is much safer than others .
eth - after btc i will trust ether for my investment .
ltc - you may call it sibling of btc , faster and cheaper .
others - dash , zcash , monero .

on xrp - people love it , but i don't , bcoz it is centralized .

That's been very proportional to me. you here not only focus on one coin and it will obviously be very profitable in my opinion. Your choice is almost the same as my coin fortopolio. Coin coins are very potential in the future in my opinion. stick to the coins you hold and never buy a coin at a cheap price that does not have the potential because it will make you lose.

After the rapid growth of bitcoin from last year, many altcoins found growth due to their value is decided by bitcoin's value which makes many people to think about investing into altcoins. I believe almost all the crypto investors must be having some blind investments just because of flashy advertisements. Probably they are capable of making some returns in short-term but in long term they might need to face losses.

I am always suggesting to go for bitcoin investments for any amount of capital. Because it will be giving consistent returns regardless of what will be the market situations or what will be the economical environment of world countries. If we pick only bitcoin then there will be plenty of chances for making good returns for the given time rather than struggling with some altcoins.

If i have enough money as much as you have, i will probably invest 50% of it in bitcoin while the other 50 to alternate coins. For alternate coins, i will choose those coins in the top 50 with cheap price and hodl it for a year or two.

By chooce coin that in top 10 ranking for long term investment is more safe because these coin more popular than others and they has good fundamental. Just for example if you make investment 1 years ago in 10 top ranking, now you get a lot of profit.

In your place, I would hold 90% of all the money in a bitcoin and top 10 of all altcoins, and 10% would invest in various interesting ICO.
