He claimed that if Bitcoin has the capability to disrupt gold, then it can appreciate by 10-20 times further because there’s still a significant delta for the number one virtual currency.. In his interview with CNBC in early December 2017, Cameron Winklevoss said that Bitcoin is gold 2.0 as it has the capability to disrupt gold.

I agree with them. Bitcoin has great potential. Every year a growing number of people recognizing it. But that can't happen by itself. To do this, bitcoin is constantly upgraded. We are constantly faced with the delays in confirming transactions. A few days ago we saw the delay in the confirmation of 200 000 transactions. It's not normal.

Yes, no doubt we are still at the early phase of Bitcoin adoption. There's a long way to go yet but I see no reason why the market cap can't reach multi-trillion valuation.

Winklevosses want to sue gold and say that it was their idea.

He's not the only one out the predicting such values for Bitcoin's marketcap.
There are several personalities out there who think Bitcoin can be worth something between $100k up to a $1million per BTC!
Such statements are not surprising me anymore.
If you really understand Bitcoin, it's disruptive potential for so many different markets and it's several network effects, you realize that it is like huge vortex or black hole sucking up several trillions of dollars from all of them in the future.

I'm sure you are quite right. I think they are closer to that goal everyday.

It'd be anyone's dream for it to make it to a multi-trillion value, but I think it's far off for now atleast for a couple more years. The Winklevoss twins although are great investors, I think they have a great journey ahead and started off good as well. I remember reading about their investment in BitInstant and it's from where their journey began. It's a long way since then and the price has risen by a sharp percentage.

That's all well and good, and Bitcoin certainly has the potential to reach trillions in "market cap", but why the hate on gold? Apart from a few similarities, I simply don't see them as competitors in any aspect. They do serve as storage of value, but who invests in gold and expects massive returns? Those people simply don't want their money to use value, and they're pretty much completely safe. They have different demographics, and even if Bitcoin is accepted on a global level, it's not going to kill off gold. It's still a precious metal with a variety of uses, a fact that Bitcoin cannot take away.

Yes, every bitcoin user will agree with this comment of Cameron Winklevoss as the price of bitcoin is tremendously increasing day by day and more and more people are join this community. This give very big positive impact on bitcoin and increases its price. If bitcoin remains on this growth rate as it is now it will surely reach a trillion dolor price tag. Bitcoin has a very bright future and can make any one millionaire in less time.

Many have already predicted it and winklevoss twins are having an exchange. So, i would like to hear voice from independent experts than a exchange owners.

Indeed, they are so heavily invested in bitcoin that they would never really bad mouth it or be negative about it. Not that I think they should.

It's silly to give future predictions since there are so many possibilities that can happen. If the USD collapses Zimbabwe-style within 10-years, then 1 trillion dollars may not even be enough to buy a house.

I won't be surprised that much if Bitcoin will do a x10 to x20 increase in short term. It will become a safe haven for people at different level since it is decentralized and private.

Well, it is really possible. I mean it is possible and also imaginative to think off. Well as we can see, bitcoin price's booming right now. And no doubt, it reached 1k usd per day. WOW RIGHT? Bitcoin really might become a multitrillion value asset.

I do not really believe in prediction of this kind, it's just people who would like bitcoin to be worth that sum, that's all

It is quite possible. Right now, Bitcoin is used by some 50 million to 100 million people, and it is having a market cap of close to $250 billion. That means that 200 million to 400 million users are needed to take it to the $1 trillion mark. Or you can say that if 1 billion people use bitcoin, then the market cap will rise to somewhere between $2.5 trillion and $5 trillion (which is still less than the market cap of gold).

Totally agree with them. Bitcoin has tremendous potential for growing even more. By keeping the current growth on consideration bitcoin value will reach heights like 100k soon in some years. And why wouldn't Winklevoss twins want bitcoin to grow more, they have like billions in bitcoin and they would like the  amount to get double.

I agree with the prediction and believe that Bitcoin has tremendous potential to reach the price level. With the increase of users over the next few years, it is not difficult to achieve the target.

To be honest, no one knows what is going to happen next. All we can do is to predict the prices according to the trend so far and when it comes to the volatile currency like Bitcoin, it becomes even more difficult when the price is constantly breaking all-time high levels. However, considering all the predictions, most of them are optimistic about the future growth of Bitcoin and as a Bitcoin user, who doesn't like to dream about millions  ;)

There are various predictions circulating in the media and there's just as many bullish as bearish. I've seen so many people saying that it's a bubble or that it will eventually die after being banned by China, Russia and few other countries. You just can't know for sure. One thing is certain, it won't die overnight. If you go in and invest right now you won't lose much when the grim news come, but you can win a lot.

I agree with that. Bitcoin has risen rapidly this year, but from the analysis of market value, the encrypted currency is still in the early stage of development. The market value of the whole encryption currency is not so small. Besides bitcoin, there are many encrypted currencies whose market capitalization is only a few million dollars, some even hundreds of thousands of dollars.
