Windows 7 GUIMiner v2001-01-01 Saphire 5850 clocked to 900Mhz in MSI Afterburner. The core voltage slider is not working even tho I have enabled it in the settings etc and have run as Admin. Also one of the cards is running at around 71.C is this ok or do i need to take steps? Many thanks for any help :) Title: Re: How 2 adjust GPU core mV On my mining rig ? Post by: FreeJAC on July 03, 2011, 03:07:07 PM 71 is fine. I try to keep mine below mid 80s. I have one that insists on running at 82 so I let it. ;) The other two are in the 70s.
Have you tried Trixx? The voltage slider works for my 5830 with that software. i have mine bumped up from factory to 1200. Bumping the voltage up from what I gather, helps to get the GPU utilization up into the high 90s, 97-99 in order to maximize Mhash/s. Title: Re: How 2 adjust GPU core mV On my mining rig ? Thing is I kinda got set this task by my m8t to see what I could get out of this setup in windows and how stable it was befor he commits to applying some fancy linix to the next one so we have something to compaire it to. I must be missing somthing I just cant unlock voltage sliders on trixx or on MSI AB its driving me nuts because my card can do so much more but it just falls over if I go past 890 Mhz and everything is telling me its because I'm not supplying more mV . I have the latest version of Catalyst installed. Trixx v4.0.1 MSI Afterburner 2.1.0 64 bit windows 7 Rang overclockers Uk and were no help they said it should work and dont go flashing the bios. Willing to donate to anyone that can get this working for me. Its Trixx I really want to get working as its the only one that will let me really get the most out of this card. Unistalled the lot and started agin and it works now. Now just got to get trixx to apply these settings to all GPU's cos its just ignoring me when I tick synchonize cards in multi gpu. Any ideas ? |
