Title: When buying multiple altcoins, Do you have multiple exchanges.
Post by: elvia on December 10, 2017, 07:44:02 PM
I am on coinbase now, which is where I own coins they trade.  I want to purchase several different altcoins.  But they are mostly on different exchanges.  Is there some way to keep the number of exchanges to just a couple, or do I need several and then have to fund each one???

I have an account in around 10 exchanges.
Just use personal BTC/ETH wallet to fund different exchanges you want to buy from. :)

I use bittrex, kucoin and binance. Think that Kucoin and Binance are the best.

Me to I have a dozen it's impossible to get the coins you want in 1 exchange. My greatest wish is to make a great simple to use decentralized exchange with no website needed just out of some open source software that would be amazing!

I personnally prefer Bittrex but it depends on the altcoins and their price on the different exchanges.

As others have stated, there are quite a few exchanges and if the coin is more rare,or new, or they have not made a deal with a larger exchange, it may be on a special exchange. I personally have items with Bittrex, Binance and Coin Exchange. I have checked out etherdelta but the interface is not very user friendly.

It's just enough for you to register on one of the following exchange poloniex/bittrex. You deposit there your bitcoin from coinbase and buy all altcoins what you want.

Exactly, it depends, there are some coins that are ERC20 tokens and you can store them all in your ethereum wallet, or just keep them on your hardware wallet.

I have never liked to have all my coins in an exchange, it is one of the most risky moves that you can make if you are just starting with cryptos.

And ten exchanges? where are you trading right now? There are only a few safe exchanges, binance, and a few others, if you are storing your coins in etherdelta or coinexchange, then you are going to get scammed for sure.

If you have a amount which is comparatively higher then you can use multiple exchanges for trading ,if not you don't have any problem with it. Exchanges are anyhow aren't the best place to keep your money. Better be on a watch for your money. Use a hardware wallet as when possible.
