Noticed addnode= this is a 24/7 running TimeCoin daemon server that is running to constantly keep the network in sync and functioning until we get more nodes up or more users. This is very important, be sure to add this especially if your wallet is not syncing up.

7/14/2013 - HINT: After connecting, simply go to the Mining tab on timecoin-qt and click Start Mining, make sure it is set to solo. The current difficulty of mining TimeCoins is very low, meaning that most people to get on and start solo mining will make a fair share of TMC! :) Hurry before everyone else does!

We are currently in need of mining pool hosts, seed nodes, and anyone interested in accepting TimeCoins! Lets get this coin going and get it going good! :)

Well I suppose that is your choice...Others can "waste" their hashing rates and gain some quality TMC and the difficulty will be going upwards.

LTC and FTC both started at a difficulty of 0 as well....Bitcoin did not, but its your choice to mine TMC or not :) I just highly suggest doing so as its not a bad investment and doesn't take a physical work? haha

its basically just a scammy way of pretending a pre-mine isn't a pre-mine. Graph later what fraction of coins were created in first second, minute, hour, etc and what percent of the first year's coins will already be gone by the end of the first day?

I just edited the last g++ command and removed all the -mgw46.... suffixes.  timecoin-qt is now built

Orphan chains longer than maturity time by the sound of it, how many blocks do mined coins take to mature?

Basically a huge miner can come along any time and mine the whole chain from scratch making the whole thing one stream of orphans unless already some huge miner is taking all the blocks orphaning all the small people one block at a time.

Either way it is orphans all the way down.

Yes I can compile on linux just fine with the current config. Make sure you have both boost libs installed on your Linux..

Yea I noticed certain transactions aren't going threw for me...If I am logically correct by the time the difficulty changes things will start working properly? Unless there is a quicker fix for this?

They take around 30 blocks to confirm client still says 120 but I was actually watching it and I believe it was 30.

Something is funky with the build system.  It tried to add mgw suffixes to the boost library names.

On a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 Linux with all libraries installed to default locations, you shouldn't need to change anything in the makefile.unix it builds up properly for me. Let me know what libraries you have installed?

Most launches by the time difficulty adjusts its far far too late, some massive chunk of all the coins ever have already been pre-mined by the instaminer method leaving the whole chain just another totally scammy obvious pump and dump scrapcoin.

Basically you can tell the scammers by their insistence on not setting a reasonable starting difficulty even if they don't build in shit-tons of free coins for them and their insider buddies aka "early (as in first few minutes or less than a day anyway) adopter" co-conspirators by hard coding arbitrary special early block rewards.

Why and or how would the blockchain ever split? What causes this? Just the difficulty of the coin being too low at launch? Would this not happen if a higher difficulty was in place?

Is it even only connecting to its own clients, or is its magic bytes handshake actually that of some other chain entirely, so that some longer-established coin can overwrite its chain?

(Well first, I guess, does it even have a genesis block of its own or is it using some other chain's?)

I generated TimeCoins own genesisblock one for testnet and one for mainnet? Not sure about those other things you are saying, would that be possible and if how so? You know I am willing to fix these things to make this a working legit coin, those are my intentions.

Me being the creator, I was only able to mine 22k TMC before difficulty rose. So there really is no premine...It was just whoever got here first with the biggest hashrates got the biggest starter rewards :P

OFC... Money allways go to people with more money... But I ask for other: Plans for raise? Example: the people with first BTC have sold for $2 and have sold for $200. So, I have no problem to wait 2-3 years and only mining colecting and waiting my poor rewards for good times : ]

Timecoin already exists as TimeKoin, and is way better than this piece of shit.

@SimRan - Take your hate elsewhere. TimeKoin is spelt wrong and looks like shit. TimeCoin is at least spelt with proper English and the website that possibly may be released will look over a thousand times better than half of the altcoin sites out there. TimeCoin was a test to see if the altcoin market exists, if I could compile and debug certain errors, and to just see if it would actually work. The next release will have actual features that will make it stand out, it may be renamed as well, but for now only time can tell! :P

I developed this myself...I didnt use anyone or any "program" besides Notepad++, MinGW C Compiler, QT Compiler, the basic libraries, and Photoshop.

@Scooby903, just ~350KH/s coz I can't set better my suck 7870XT with guiminer-sceypt, and 260KH/s with cgminer (it's horible...). And for example: for BTC my GPU can be more from 500MH/s without problems. And I really can't understand why so big difrent with scrypt...
