May be the only one thing which they have in common is that they centralized in some way. BitShares is very similar to Ethereum just because of using DPoS instead of PoW they have quicker and cheaper transactions. IOTA is absolutely different effort.
Also there is no way BitShares is a scam. Technically it is one of the best platforms today, just not very popular. |
