Post by: g4r1n1m on December 11, 2017, 08:57:11 PM
imagine what happens when things go back to normal (bitcoin 40-50 % of the market)
it will be a big wave of alt coins
the top 20 have to benefit the most in my opinion

Yeah or a massive drawback including all currencies

Either is possible but given all the solid fundamentals surrounding a few coins I tend to lean more on the side of alt party then drawback of market. Also given the acceptance level of cryptos now I think it is more likely alts party because it is less likely people have a stigma about getting into alts due to the fueling of criminal activity.

Why is everybody expecting that things "go back to normal"? I'm not saying it's not possible. But who says that Bitcoin will not increase even more? Given the current hype, lots of new investors, futures etc.

I think you are right in that we will see a good period for alts and they will gain back some of the market. Even with bitcoin growing, the new money will not all go in to bitcoin, some will also find its way in to alt coins. I'm expecting to see them have a run some time in the first quarter of 2018.

It could go a little higher but don't expect to time the market perfect. Many of us have been through this cycle over and over and over and over and over. But eh...most noobs want to learn the hard way lol

Agree, we don't know where is the top yet and when is the correction, but with the recent Bitcoin price surges, personally, I believe many people have thought that Bitcoin price grew up so big and too fast, we can see it by the price starting to look like a parabolic. So I doubt it will increase more, it's just too high, and no one with a sane mind would Invest right now except some newbies trader that didn't realize they buy this high.

This won't happens in next few month because all the hype and money now are in the Bitcoin and Bitcoin futures. I'm expecting the 60-65% Bitcoin domination to last at least in next 6 months.

Hoping to buy bitcoin at a lower price again but the real thing is it will never happen. The demand for bitcoin is really increasing and this can be a factor that the price of bitcoin will go higher. We can see bitcoin remains on top in the future.

I think the problem is even when thinks go back to normal, altcoins will still have the same value in fiat because BTC value will also go down when that happens. It would be a great opportunity to trade your BTC for altcoins and get more BTC for sure but in the end I believe that you won't have much more money than what you originally had if you look at fiat values.

Most possibility is bitcoin will not go back to normal. It will take over more of market, In my opinion.
However, if its happening most altcoin will have big wave is etherium and waves and maybe litecoin.

Definitely, as a lot of crypto followers and fanatics have also noticed, when Bitcoin's line is moving sideways, there is high probability that the altcoins will have a very smooth growth. The bullish movements of Bitcoin will only hamper and even put into sacrifice the growth of altcoins. We have seen that several times already in the past several weeks. That is the trend because people would of course leave the altcoins and go into Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is being greatly increased due to the needs of the community and investors when Bitcoin is listed on the largest US stock exchange. In 2018, it will be a tremendous year for both bitcoin and the entire crypto market.

bitcoin will increase more than now and altcoin will have the time to increase like bitcoin. I am sure that only time that will answer and both bitcoin and altcoin will walk together and will increase the price. and I agree that not all money will come to bitcoin only but the altcoin has the opportunity this year is the time for bitcoin and altcoin to be known by the people so they will realize that the new era will come among us.

bitcoin is always very much looked relatively altcoins. And then there's futures launched. I think that further in the area of 50% will keep the cue its market share in 2018. Altcoins will play a bit

It will be a sure big wave for altcoins once bitcoin started to get back to it's past price but I'm not thinking about it anymore. As bitcoin price starts to increase, it's followers ETH and LTC is also making it's own price increase. Top 20 coins will have a benefit for it since they are most preferred altcoin after bitcoin. It's totally high that ETH and LTC started to increase and too unfortunate for me, I did sold it when it was not pumping.
