Title: Who also notice the trading bots aiming a price war at 1,666,666???
Post by: qbcoachgonzo on December 11, 2017, 10:05:15 PM
I trade bitcoin and notice the huge trading volumes trying to move the price on bitcoin down so they send millions of offers 1 cent under in a attempt to bring the price down so they can jump in at a cheaper price. This is nothing new however to day the bots seem to be pegging the exchanges to a 1666,666 price this went on for hours 3:00am to 11:300 pst time yet I haven't read a single report on it...You can still see this on the charts if you look at the 24 mark you'll see a straight line peaked at 16,666,666 which never happens... Odd still researching.

how do you bring the price down with 1 cent sell orders?

we say bitcoin market is small and orderbooks are thin but that small ;D

Op, I will like to know the exchange platform that this thing happened. Like the posters above me has saying, please can you provide us with the links when this things happen! I think we should have think that a cent has no power over this market and I think even if the whole traders place such trade with the aim of bringing bitcoin down will not happen.

If this is true,i don`t think that it`s a market manipulation. It`s an attempt to make money from the people ,who placed wrong orders and forgot to cancell them.Someone could make a typing mistake and place an order to buy 1 bitcoin for 1666,66 USD instread for 16666,6 USD ;D.The difference is huge profit for the trading bot owner.
This is just my theory,anyway.
