what happend with ltc? its now 235$ !!!!

its a pump?

People are buying it. That's what's happening. It's not a Korean pump either, as most volume are coming from GDAX and Bitfinex; while Korea's Bithumb only comes 3rd. People are probably buying it to move their funds easily, as most of us know that bitcoin's blockchain is currently super congested.

At least because the LTC's blockchain is still very fluid and stable. Unlike the BTC and ETH blockchain, it is so congested that it can not even be transferred. I guess so

Do you have some valid bases as to your prediction that Litecoin's price will fall back to $80? I am as dumbfounded to learn of Litecoin's sudden growth as to your speculation that it will drop back as low as $80. But be that as it may, what we can see as of the moment is a very bullish Litecoin. I don't know the very specific detail that caused such quick jump in Litecoin's price. Perhaps people are now convinced of its viability as compared to some other coins?

naah, many new people who recently got into crypto, find BTC to be to expensive and to risky (going down by 3k withing hours is difficult to get for people who are new into this stuff) add to that the slowness of ETH and BTC in recent days, and LTC is like the 3th option for many. Allot of people believe LTC will follow the same path of BTC - which basicly is happening

so yeah, very unlikely that it will drop any time soon, i think it's more likely that it will continue to rise, maybe hit 300 dollar by end of 2017 and hit 1k somewhere in 2018.

Remember that litecoin is basicly a smaller version of bitcoin, it will follow the same path of massive increase like bitcoin.

BTC has gotten very expensive, and so now litecoin makes sense as a currency to buy things. People are using bitcoin to simply hold there money before they make a investment in another coin, or they simply hold it. Making a ton of transactions and racking up the fees doesnt seem like a good idea with bitcoin right now. Litecoin is a good move to make payments and move money online now.

I was waiting for a drop all day...it just gets more expensive...I regret not buying when it was 50/60 dollars and then 130 dollars. I lost my patience and just bought one Litecoin in it's peak...I hope it pays off...  :o

Charlie Lee has been on TV twice recently talking about LTC.  

Coinbase was #1 trending app in App Store the other day, noobs buy crypto and buy LTC because they feel 1 LTC is worth more than .3 ETH even though they have the same value at purchase.

LTC is actually a decent coin that solves some of BTCs problems at the moment.

Will at least keep pumping this week IMO as I can see noobs keep buying it till the price catches up with ETH.  If ETH keeps going up LTC may go with it.

It's basically all hype, i don't think that anything has fundamentally changed about litecoin apart from its founder being covered by media and all sorts of stuff like that. Plus LTC was almost dead back a few weeks ago and you can almost sense that a pump was going to happen sooner or later. It's just a matter of time.

I would not buy into all the hype right now, there is just no logical reason to when you can get the same coin for perhaps under 0.01 BTC once the hype dies down in a couple of weeks to a month's time. Just wait if you want to buy LTC for long term investing.

There is really no point regretting. No one could have seen it coming, except if you were a trader and you perceived some upward trend, but the bullish run was really not expected and whether it is a pump or not, it has been doing some pretty good corrections for a while now and showing more abilities to get stabilized and start another bull run. There are so many reasons why this could be happening; it could be hype OR probably new investors are beginning to get the gist that this is going to be a coin that would be the spendable one in the long run considering the transaction speed and fees. You could have waited for a correction before buying though, but if it does not end up paying off now, 1 day it definitely will.

LTC is fast. On the other hand, it's just a copy of bitcoin, i don't think it will replace BTC. It will pump more, probably to 1300-1400, reaching BCH value.

I guess you can say that, but I think many users are pumping to somewhat revive its value like what some crypto users did with Eth last few weeks. I think if they won't do that, there is a risk that LTC would deteriorate even more due to bitcoin's quick rise that has affected altcoins negatively over the last few weeks. Having said, it's a good think because it keeps the market interesting and active instead of it being one-sided because bitcoin has been getting too much attention right now.

Litecoin is now $244 and counting. This is one of the big surprises of 2017. It all happend so fast and some people multiplied their money in very short time. I wish hadn't sell my coins from $140 couple of days ago. I wonder where will it go from here.

It is great to see litecoin finally get some decent attention it is deserved.  I am not sure I agree with a lot of people here saying it is just a pump and it will drop back down as much, it has a lot going for it and many things that bitcoin is lacking plus it is getting some serious media attention now and Charlie is quite the figure head to lead this march.

I think people were also saying the same thing when ETH did rise from 13$ to 300$. They said it will dump but didn't happen as low as they predicted. Now that litecoin has catched people's attention, let's just say this is the start for litecoin to be as well-known and as valued as top cryptos.

Wow! Didn't see it coming, I thought its already a dead end for litecoin. I couldn't recall the last time its price pumps up really high.They are so far one of the oldest cryptocurrencies, yet didn't receive much of success. They have already been surpassed by ETH, XMR and Zcash when it comes to growth rate. I'm truly happy for LTC that they are now on the rise up and I do think they deserve it. I just hope that more people will acknowledge its existence and continue to move on further. Definitely, one of the Altcoin worth watching for next year.

Guys in the finance industry are pumping it along with general crypto investors. I knew it would happen with bitcoin futures but I didn't knew it would be that massive, I thought I still had time to accumulate more. I suppose I will hold what I already have and look for an alternative crypto to invest in as this was is now very risky.

It wont last forever but I do not think it is going to return to its previous price I think it will stay well above it, hindsight is always 20/20, we say I should have done this or I should have done that, but as long as you are making money then you are doing fine, I also missed the opportunity to buy cheap litecoin some months ago, but I do not regret it since my bitcoin earnings have been great as well.

Charlie Lee was on TV and when they asked him which companies or industry will BTC or LTC replace he said no companies or industry but USD. And they all have no ideas what to say.  Most silly is that he tweeted he will be on TV few days ago and price was under $100. And I knew price will explode, but I am way to lazy to actually do anything anymore. :P

As like bitcoin, in altcoin their will be a pump and dump.But the differenve is there may huge reduction in bitcoin,In altcoin it was not like that so.Advantage of investing in altcoin is ,it will give you 10×,20× even 100× of invested money. Nothing else happened apart from the fact that investors are kicking in and demand for it is increasing than the supply. You can call it a pump, but so far, it has been correcting and testing new ATHs over and over again. I guess new investors are finding a reason why they should buy more of litecoin, since it seems to be more of a spendable currency and quite aged as well.

Here's a friend, we should know that Litecoin has been around for a long time. Since I first met Bitcoin, I've seen Litecoin there. As for Ethereum, we know that Ethereum came after Litecoin. It is true that the development of Ethereum prices very rapidly and quickly can even beat Litecoin. But we must know that Litecoin will not remain silent, Litecoin will not let the market go away. Litecoin will continue to grow although not as fast as other cryptocurrency. And I'm sure, Litecoin will continue to grow in the future.

I agree with you Litecoin has been in the market for a few years now and I am believer of Litecoin. Some People are now surprised that the price shoot up instantly but for me it is long overdue. We may see this coin to rise even more in the future. It is a great investment for long term and I will hold it until I reach my target price.

I also think why others are switching to  Litecoin  because transaction fees are really cheap and also transaction are faster if you compare it to Bitcoin. People that uses bitcoin for their daily transaction will definitely switch to other coins as some experts predicted and of course Litecoin will be one of the great option.

Currently USDT is more valuable than USD and in bitfinex LTC is traded against USDT not USD like in GDAX, so there is this huge price difference for almost every coin including litecoin, bitcoin and ethereum.

litecoin is one of those altcoins that is old and could survive all these years (nearly as old as bitcoin) and still have a high price and lots of development.

this is all screaming high potential for this coin without a doubt.
so it is no surprise that it is rising like this and doesn't  come down like all the other shitcoin pumps that keep happening every day.

The lite coin is one of the strong demanded and highly valued crypto coin which has a strong future in coming years. And the pump in Litecoin is due to various factors like demand in bitcoin increases the demand in Litecoin as they are directly proportional to each other. Here the trend in litecoin has just started and the patterns like rounding bottom has made the Ltc/usd more volatile and has increase the income for both day traders and short term traders.

Litecoin even went as high as $365 last night making over 68% gained in just 24 hours. I think the high corrections is underway as this current pump may push litecoin's price below  $100 where the current trends started from. I still believe that litecoin is still the next big thing and getting them when it drops again should be what a wise person should do.

well ever since litecoin has prove worthy of investment but due to high load transaction of bitcoin and the issues of eth as well in cryptokittens most people might be putting their funds in a safer coin which is the litecoin that what makes it pump in past few days.

Ok, so we are all seeing the reasons, yes it does not look like a pump. All the volume is coming from America and Europe. Looks like for once they made a strong move and see where it took the coin! But I think it has less to do with all the Litecoin characteristics everyone knew about. It is more to do with the marketing LTC is finally doing after keeping quiet all these years.

Litecoin is solid, and people finally recognize it. With more new money streaming into Cryptocurrencies, Litecoin will surely be one of the winners. Glas that I hold on to my LTC since $30. Unfortunately I didnt buy more at that time. I was scared when it rose to $60. Silly me.

Well, no one can really say if it will or not. The run has been pretty crazy though, but Litecoin has always proven to be quite stable for a while now, so I may not really expect any serious drop in price to that extent at this moment. One good thing about the Litecoin network is that it works just exactly as the speed light when it comes to transactions.

Even if you are going to get out, it is realistic to get out when you feel it is right. Since the pump, I have been trading litecoin and the good thing about it is that with the charts, you can easily predict its movement for the next run after every correction which so far has proven to be quite a strong market. Totally agree here. Litecoin is like a sleeping giant. Although it also made some nice gains this year and now jumped again withing the last two days, I still think that there is a lot of upside potential for it. I would not wonder to see Litecoin above $500 soon. Maybe four figured in 2018. Another good aspect of Litecoin is that it is not dumping or correcting hard from my experience, its like a safe harbour to park profits.

It looks that LTC hits a resistance point at 300 USD. Now it could be bouncing off and heading to the top of a new wave 400 and potentially 500 if LTC decides to extend to the next level, which wouldn't surprise me.

I am really unlucky about litecoin. It suddenly goes up after I sold all my litecoins. I wish I hold it just a few days more.

I never thought litecoin will suddenly pump lately. I have also sold mine that I thought it would stable its value, very lucky who hold litecoin and bought it when price drops before. Anyway, we still can earn profit on litecoin.

It went up like crazy because Bitcoin and Ethereum haven't been doing the past few days (I mean the transaction speed and fees) so people look for a cheaper and faster coin to use and well litecoin is quite a good option.
