I would say that it may have the chance to reach 20k dollars if it continues the pace and track it is going now. If you would ask me this questions maybe a month ago, I would be negative and say that it's impossible, but bitcoin has shown great resolve in the last few weeks that prompted its price surge. That is very surprising even for bitcoin itself. The 12k mark right now is long gone because the price point it has been circling around is in the 15k mark. I think if there would be a halt in the rise, that would be the value it will temporarily hold.

I think we will probably see a correction before Bitcoin hits 20k and I don't think correction will be down to 12k only.It will be to 9K to 10K.After the correction,I think price will come back and then it will slowly rise to 20k. :)

I'm pretty sure it will test $20k this year, but I also think it will close this year below that. But what do I know  :P

There is no doubt that bitcoin will hit the 20k usd mark, however we cannot tell if it can be breached within this year, since we only have a few days to end december, and also bitcoin futures is already out in the market, hopefully  we see bitvoin going over 17k before the end of the year, since people may just be testing waters investing in bitcoin future

Nobody knows, everything everyone says is speculation so don't listen to anyone.
It's important to mention that we hit $18k and subsequently went down to $15k a couple of days later. Perhaps that was the correction. Perhaps not.
I personally speculate that we will hit $20K. There won't be another price drop. I could be wrong though.

Whatever the case may be, do not make decisions based on what people say in these types of threads because you might seriously regret it.

How I wish it will go to $20,000 mark although there's a big possibility it will there's also a  possibility it will correct itself to 12k but all the chart points that it has a big possibility that it will hit $20,000 mark before the first quarter of next year, more and more people are taking their chance to bitcoin.

my opinion before the year ended bitcoin will hit 20k dollars. but always remembers it depends also to the community if they want to convert there coins in other altcoins. I hope bitcoin will hit 20k

It will probably hit that $20,000 anytime soon, and if the mainstream adapters won't stop from buying bitcoins, it might reach $30,000 before the end of December. Anyway, correction might occur once these newbies discover altcoins.

It could be both options. However, currently BTC should go up till 18-20k $.  So probably it will be good idea to buy BTC for 17k$)

Both options are possible 50/50.
I'm more inclined to 20 000 dollars. We have a new year in 3 weeks, 20,000 are a significant milestone, a round figure. Bitcoin loves round figures. Futures can also help achieve bitcoin treasured $ 20,000. I expect from bitcoin by the end of the year 20K

Looking at the current trend of surge in the price of the bitcoin it might hit 20k mark in few days and also there is lot of news coming from various corners about the price of bitcoin, by that also can tell that bitcoin reaches 20k mark.

I am confidently expect bitcoin to break 20K by the end of the year, and i am motivated by its awesome performance by recent month. Eventually we don't know the actual amount of btc in the future days because of the influx of investors who find bitcoin as a good investment is going strong, Myself is looking forward to invest btc because of good return in just short span of time.

I do think that the price will see another spike in the chart. There was a recent dump of $3000 in price a few days back when the price dumped from $16k to $13k . I think this much correction is enough for BTC to become stable and now it might take another increase in price and might reach $20k . I also think that there will be another huge dump on $20k since many people have been targeting this price and investors might take their profits when the target is achieved.

I would like to say that it will correct towards the $ 12K but I have the impression that it is going towards $ 20k

price has moved past 17,000 now. let's see if it goes past it and consolidate within 17-17.5

price might move lower though if the market buys into more fud in the internet. for example, cnbc has just published an article covering a bitcoin millionaire named Grant Sabatier. He recommends bitcoin newbies to NOT INVEST IN BITCOIN NOW https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/11/bitcoin-millionaire-grant-sabatier-dont-buy-bitcoin.html basically because it's a gamble  ??? so market could correct in response to his recommendation....

Bitcoin will surely correct and it can be lower than $12k and I see this as a great opportunity to buy more bitcoin but still believe that bitcoin can hit $20k and go even higher. We must ride the trend of bitcoin for long term goal so you can be sure to create big profit.

I can be sure that it will reach 20K this year, and half a month. As long as there are no big technical events, the tendency of the bitcoin to rise is unstoppable.

Right now, the price of bitcoins is not an easy topic to discuss or make predictions about.
In fact, that's how crypto generally is. It's totally unexpected and whatever speculators define is usually never 50% true.
I'm talking about really high or low predictions.

Who could've thought three months ago (when the price was about $4k) that it will become worth almost 4 times what it was and in a span of less than 90 days. A lot of stuff is going around right now and it's getting more and more attention as more countries (like korea) are getting involved more with crypto every single day.

I can't figure out the reasons for the current prices. I don't want to but can only see it as a huge pump that totally has to be followed by a correction. However, that's what we said when it got near to 4k, and now we're here. Will it generally cross 20k ? For sure. Before the new year ? I don't think so.


I guess you're a bit outdated in your numbers mate.
It already crossed 17k. And I'm not talking about the korean exchanges (bithumb,etc..). It was for $17,430 on bittrex and a bit higher on poloniex today.

I managed to sell some at those prices on bittrex.

Bitcoin is grabbing the attention of mass due to the ease and comfort it is providing, it is allowing mass to express them and explore their talent in limited resources. Its demand is increasing in market due to which its worth is also getting high. Soon in future bitcoin will launch its era and then buying and selling of necessities will be done using bitcoin

First i see a correction of the bitcoin price, then i believe that the price will rise again having the chance to get to 20k or even surpass that
