I don't think ethereum will go high as $1000 in Christmas, It was so fast if that happens. I think a $1000 for ethereum will go on year 2018 not on this year 2017.

But what about futures, what about Casper and cryptokitties with a decentraland, so many good news and you think that there will be no growth? By next year it will have to cost about $10,000.

I never check ETH/USD price thats not make sense for me.

I just checked it now on https://coinmarketcap.com were I do get my trading information from and I find out that ethereum is about to make a serious push based on the chart . It is currently trading at $698.9 and it might have a breakout very soon and heading towards  $1,000 which is my speculation for the year. I expect it to compete with bitcoin cash and become the most favoured altcoins.

This does matter for me. As all ETH I have are bought using bitcoin.
My major currency is bitcoin, but bitcoin's current growth would to correction which will bring down it's price.
I want ethereum to act as a buffer that doesn't decrease as rapidly as bitcoin.

Well markets do not constantly move in one direction there are always some dips and corrections but having said that im still bullish on eth and i think it will be $1600-$2000 after 6 more months.

Ethereum prediction to $1k this Christmas I can say it might not hit. This movement of ethereum is impressive these days because it is still ups and down. I think to hit $1k on next year, we have many predictions but lets watch out the price.

i think it quite difficult ethereum can translucent $ 1000 till christmas. Unless there is hardfork ethereum. Because most of now many are hunting coins from hardfork.

Ethereum is alteast solidly standing at a good rate even when bitcoin came back into 18k, I hope Eth will go back into 0.045 and then a move back into 0.05.

Yes Ethereum hitting $1000 before Christmas is definitely possible and it will be meritted if you ask me, unlike BCH that went above $1000 courtesy of pumps by BTC whales.
Now that crypto and blockchain tech is gaining more recognition and adoption by mainstream it could even hit $2000 by mid 2018.

I think the current pump on ethereum is mostly because of that cryptokitties game. It caused a huge increase in demand increasing the price as well. So as long as people are still addicted and are still making a lot of profit in that game, this price growth would continue. Whether it continues to grow, becomes stagnant, or fall after all this is still speculative.

I am pretty sure it will eventually lead up to $1000 in 15 days, it might not before 2018 christmas. Also ethereum has potential to hit $1500 in long run even around mid 2018.

I hope that the price hit $1000 too like you so we can have much of bitcoin for cash out. it seems ethereum price want to reach $700 and there is a green signal on every exchange so we can wait for the price increase back. the price moves so fast in ethereum pair usdt and I think trying to buy and sell. but I don't know what will happen with ethereum later and I hope the price will reach more than just $700.

I hope it will rise to 1000$ before Xmas. I will enjoy the xmas the most then. But I dont thnk it will go cross 1000$ before jan 2018.

I think until Christmas Ethereum will not able to reach $1000, ethereum can't increase it's price fast just like bitcoin, I guess ethereum still needs more promotion to be able to know by more investors, so that a lot of investors will invest also in ethereum and get interest into it.

Since there are not so many days till Christmas, I would say no. But it will definitely hit $1000. I think that might be the case in January.

Im waiting for the 1000$ for EThereum during next 6 months. This is most known  and valuable after BTC cryptocurrency, and the more ico will base on Ethereum platform the higher will be price of ethereum. And if BTC will carry on its rally, that will stimulate the ether price as well.

Aside from bitcoin, ethereum is also getting popular now amongst all other alts and many investor are also getting interested on it that's why there's a possibility that it will reach to $1000 at the end of the year.

I can't believe it hasn't hit $1,000 already. I think all the kitties bogging the network down will be beneficial for the project if they find a solution to the problem. The kind of volume the kitties bring is a good testing mechanism for other types of projects that could be launched on top of the Ethereum blockchain. I am very bullish on Ether this year.

The most accurate prediction for me. Somebody says it's hard to get $1.000 next year, this is not true. It didn't play the joker yet. Vitalik Buterin is a smart guy and they will serve a better blockchain to the community, this will increase the price.

I think it's really difficult for ETH to be able to reach to 1000$ till Christmas. It'll more possible for Bitcoin to reach to 20k$ but for ETH to reach to 1k$ I think it's really hard :)). ETH can reach to 1k$ but not in this year, I think, maybe it'll be 1k$ at the early of next year, I think it's easier than in this year :))

LTC can overtake ETH if the congestion keeps going to ethereum's network thats how i see it will end.

People who are holding ethereum seem to think eth can follow the exact same path at bitcoin did, while eth is nice, eth is a centralized ico project...it's not even in bitcoin's league.

I think 1000$ till New Year and 1500$ till spring, it`s possible! Maybe 2k$ (or even 3k$) by the end of 2018. It depends of new roadmap and Casper update

ETH grew very well, but this is not enough if we take into account the growth of bitcoin. I think the price will rise to $ 1000 in early 2018.

Hard to guess short-term price moves. It should surely go above $1000 sometime in Jan 2018.

It will doubled at the next year. When the next hardfork will be happening and the difficulty will increase a lot and that makes the block reward will decrease again. The hardfork already planned at the next year. And casper pos will be implemented too. Not sure about 1k in this month.

Sure it is, yes I predict that Ethereum will go up as 1000 USD in this Christmas because maybe Santa gives that as a gift. That's what I predict for Ethereum in Christmas. And in my opinion Ethereum will surpass a 1000 USD in next month because it was increasing so fast.

Now there is a usual recession before the new year, people withdraw money from the crypto currency. Looking forward to growth in 2018, Ethereum should make $ 1000 !!!

ETH price probability go up is not that high. As of today, the price was going down. Maybe it will go up again but not before Christmas.
It will reach its historic price maybe when January next year starts.

Waiting for a Christmas present ? But it seems that the big people decided to take their earned

The events taking place at the moment on the market do not add to the mood, but I believe that the target of $ 1000 is simply transferred to the first quarter of next year. And yet, I really liked the last sentence of the previous post -  "Invest what you can afford to lose."

By this time next year, we might see the price of ether in the range of $5000 to $7000! I am speculating these prices based on development that is going on in ethereum and the prospect of ethereum going full POS.The price increase this year also serve as my basis for my speculation

Like all other currency , looks like ethereum is also dropping right now except for ripple. It's a good thing for ethereum to go through this correct phase. Expecting to see the price go  above $1200 after the correction, but depends on how badly it drops.

I brought some but the price of almost all altcoin is going down now.

i think ethreum price will go very high in 2018

I think not anymore since we got few days left before this year ends and the last time i remember ETH is having a price hike is just this week but it only reach 800$ mark and now it starts to fall down again at 600$. It's impossible for ETH to hit 1000$ because of this ups and downs lately.

I believe it will. ETH price has been steady in the past few days. there is a high probability that it might get to 5.5-6 million satoshi soon. not a financial advice though just speculation.

My prediction is that Ethereum will hit 1000 in January. It's more than possible, despite the current descending trend. It'll be interesting to monitor ETH cap. I think that many investors can use the current price as a good point to enter!

I believe ethereum will be high the price value in 2018 possibly it will hit $1000. I cant say by january but I am confident it will hit the amount huge next year. Ethereum can be a big amount in our wallet so hold eth for now.

I think that in crypto market everythink ks possible and Eth price could go to 1000 and even more! But the the same time the price could get lower quickly because of the correction of the huge growth of bitcoin last weeks.

It looked good until todays correction. Now i dont think it can reach 1000 by monday, the value droped too much today.

Ethereum would have reached 1000$ plus already there was lots of issue happened in last one quarter parity hack , Bitcoin simultaneous forks , CryptoKitties wave in ethereum network , Now etherdelta hack lots of things even price is stable and growing slowly . Now market moving towards altcoins surely ethereum will be the first winner.

BTC is recovering right now,ETH must recover fast too just like the other altcoins bleeding right now.

Ethereum is slowly going to reach 1000$ mark and that will be a landmark for ETH. It  will go further as its bull run is just started and it will take this coin to moon. Today's correction will over in a day or two and then it will again start climbing upwards.

My prediction is No. As the time approaching Christmas is getting closer, I do not think this will be enough for Ethereum to touch the 1000 dollar mark. I was just hoping that the price of ETH would go down for a while so I could collect more ETH.

all altcoin are going to move after the sky-rocket price of bitcoin, i think the price of this ethereum will surly pump after this holiday season (x-mas and new year, and it will pump more when the correction price of bitcoin happened. we only have to believe in eth and continue support this for more better result in future.

I think ethereum can't go high till christmas it's so hard to up high altcoins now. I think Ethereum will go up someday but not this year maybe 2018-2019.

As this is Christmas time, every coin is losing in value but after Christmas ethereum will rise high.

I thought it was going to go beyond $900 but it came short. Now it is going down again being pulled by the bitcoin price.
I dont know if it is just bitcoin or also because of what happened with etherdelta.
Still holding and hoping for ethereum to get the price it deserves.
