What is the # 1 pick for the coming 6 weeks?  I am looking for a coin that will make me 4-10x in the next 6 weeks?  Any educated opinions or thoughts would be welcomed and appreciated to discuss further.

I'd like to know what you think about $PRL. I bought some last week as i see the marketcap is so low, was around $280K. Today it breaks $1 million marketcap and i still considere it a bargain. It has a lot room to grow. I joined their telegram group and see how responsive the dev.

Maybe because of the fork. Ethereum Classic (ETC) just recently made a successful fork this day and immediately ETC reach a $2.7B marketcap the day alone. https://mobile.twitter.com/eth_classic?lang=en. It's quite bullish right now. But i just missed .0027 24 hour high. I just my ETC for .002 and buy back again at .0019. I think the price will slowly rise again. But i don't think it could go up to $100 a piece very soon as Bitcoin is really dominating the market.

My bet is on NEO. As all other coins were pumped like hell neo didn't even hit ath since late august. I feel like investors will onto neo to pump it right next month. This my speculation.

Include ETC you please have the litecoin also in that list. Because it shows the spontaneous growth in the price chart. We will find the waves and neo also in the best place than what the value we are seeing now. In ICO list we will have utrust as the best currency if it is been added to the market list or in any trading sites.
I don't think that gambling site coin will be shine more in the market and all.

PRL curently dumped to 3-4 cent due to Ethereum surges. With 108 Million max supply (29 million on circulation) this is a truely hidden gem. Once it hits a decent exchange, you'll never get it at this price again. And if the dev already bring the main product, PRL is one of few token which has a real use.

100% Ardor. It releases in January and has been going up like wildfire. You would be pretty dumb not to get into it since it will be a rival to Ethereum and we all saw how that went up.

I go for $XRB. Well-suited for peer to peer micropayments with its feeless transactions and scalability. The price may have increased now but i think devs are targeting $10 by early 2018.

Personally I prefer ripple (XRP), several analysis have indeed shown that XRP is able to survive for prolonged periods of time in the crypto market.
XRP will give a extraordinary benefits profit for this January 2018.
However, other than that come some other coins, they are equally full of praise, like: Request Network (REQ) & Decentraland (MANA).

In my opinion, the NEO coin is worthy of attention. I think by the end of January we will see a minimum of 5x from today's price.

i am not sure it will work in 6 weeks but when waves adds smart contracts feature, its price will climb up very fast. It is announced that it is going to be added in the first quarter of 2018. You can search more about it and if you like you can invest.

I will pick bitcoin no matter what but since we are talking about altcoins I will surely pick NEM/XEM because I believe on its technology and it will sure pump higher in 2018, better to own some of it because the price right now is really undervalued for a great technology.

I think Spectrecoin (XSPEC) has a better than decent shot at a 4-10x surge in the next six weeks.  Take a look at the XSPEC all-time chart on coinmarketcap, and you will see that it is bouncing off a 3-month low right now, and importantly, it has developed a very bullish flag formation that portends a major rally within the next month or so.  (Although, technical indicators are not always reliable, especially in coins with smaller market caps.)  There is a new release expected later this month, with several feature upgrades (version 1.4), and a whole new wallet design with several groundbreaking new features slated for shortly after that (version 2.0, formerly called 1.5).  Between these two upgrades, Spectrecoin will be catapulted from being a "pretty good" privacy coin, to one of the best (if not THE best, with the possible exception of Monero) privacy coin in existence.  (There is also a serious marketing push underway, which will help add fuel to the fire in the next few weeks.)

For a lower entry coin I would look into WABI. It's hovering around $1 right now, but was as high as $2.25 when it was released a day ago. They are supposed to have some fairly big news coming up in the next month and many expect it to x5-10 in the short term.

I agree with whoever said ardor. Nxt is a good buy now, just make sure you sell before the ignis snapshot. The price will probably go way up on the eve. Otherwise i think xlm will do very well at the beginning of next year.

first i wil go for bitcoin. you must have some btc on your wallet. than i would go for Power Ledger. Its really perfect project on market and there is big deals coming next month. beta-test is releasing end of this month.

you can buy some PayPie (PPP) too . you will make some many from it but i dont think 2x -3x but still good enough :)

If i had to pick one coin i would absolutely positively be sure that it's value would rise by Jan 2018 it would be Ethereum. I'm a big fan of smart contracts and how Ethereum is already on the way to massive adoption. Just look at CryptoKitties, the first ever ethereum blockchain dAPP that actually introduced a lot of new users to cryptocurrency as well as encouraged many developers to get on the Ethereum platform and start developing. Seems like there is no other way but up.

In my view NEO and Stellar Lumens have a great potential for the coming year 2018

Ethereum had a great momentum this month and i dont expect that it will make another bull run next year. unless the Casper (POS) is successfull.

I also think XLM is good to invest in.

My picks for Janurary 2018 is SysCoin. Syscoin is rebranding by the end of this month with the help of some advertising and marketing company. In addition, they are introducing masternode setup and the web version of their block market early mid-February. Expect a lot of interest in the few days before the rebrand and web block market release. Again, do your own research before you invest.

Yes you are right. No need to look for altcoin can worth 4x from its bottom price, at least good contant profit is enough. Lets saynif get 4x profit only 1x, but small profit consistent, i think i will prefer constant profit and waves is the answer.

Right now it is pumping but we also know this could be pump and dump plan and which would mean that in coming time we will see a huge fall as people would start selling once they take out the profits. So better to invest in such coins which are stable and will have a huge future demand due to its uniqueness.

I would pick Funfair and Request Network, they are both some of the most undervalued tokens considering the tech and teams behind them. I think they will at least double in price by the end of january.

Imho all high caps are very interesting for the people. A lot of people are jut buying blind into coins with a high marketcap. I had 3 People last weeks that just bought ripple totally blind :D

My personal choices for January are ICON(if it gets listed on exchanges), kyber, airswap.
Why?
ICON it's one of the most hyped projects many people left without recieving the tokens. Kyber will launch their exchange in February or at the end of January. Buying them in dogs is better than last hour rush. Same with airswap.

You can look into Cobinhood (COB). The Exchange will go live the 18th of December.
COB holders will also get free Cybermiles Tokens based on their Holdings on the 5th of january.
Can mean a increase in demand and a lot of hodlers..

I'm probably leaning towards Redpulse (RPX). This was one of the best non greedy ICOs held but the price didn't appreciated much because of lack of bigger exchanges. This is a NEO platform based token so some exchanges may take time to list them. Why don't you buy them when it's cheap? If it hits bigger exchanges then it'll fly high.

I believe in Gladius. They have an interesting idea, you can earn on your Internet, which sometimes is idle.

You should diversify all your coins. especially top 10 of cmc. invest at your own risk. But i suggest pick ETH,LTC,Waves,BCH,XEm they are all good coins and i have them for a long time. i can't predict what's good to buy

Hmm, no. Iota and Litecoin are very good coins (yes I know Iota got caught red handed with their over hyping and have now been forced to issue a statement clarifying the Microsoft relationship that does not exist) but they have already had their superb runs. Another one in January is far, far quickly, such speed would be worrying.

But Waves on the other hand I do not know. Either it is picking up speed for a boom in January, or it will be just steady and slow rising from now all the way to 2019.

Good thread.  I have picked up some PRL after going through this thread and doing some more research.

Most of the coins mentioned in this thread are winners. 

I believe NEO will increase drastically to even LTC levels within the first 3 months of 2018.

I see EOS also as a big gainer in 2018.  I would think this will double or triple by the end of January.

From the currently existed projects my favourite is LTC. It can easily reach $3000 at 2018. But there are different young projects that could raise up to x1000. Universa is my favourite at the moment.

It's just like the NBA Draft picking rookies for the lineup of our coins/tokens.

With the first pick of the 2018 Altcoin draft, I select Tronix! It may be undervalued right now, but the growth is inevitable. I did regret about selling them for Ripple, and on the following day the value got up by almost 400%. Once I have enough funds to start 2018, I may buy some more TRX.

Bitcoin isnt safe at all! The government has HUUGE amounts of them and they are pushing the prices up, but when they reach what they looked for they are going to sell them and its going to crash hard to like 500$. Same with monero and ethereum. They shutdowned big marketplaces in the darkweb and got sooo many of them, and they have the tools with media to push their prices. Better go with privacy coins which arent tracable and you will make huge profit as soon as they get implemented on big black markets.

Go with ltc xrp waves iota spectre and ins. I see these alcoins will flourish in 2018.

There are some really promising coins for next month, I would like to go for WAVES, ETH, NEO, SYSCOIN.

I will buy ethereum and LTC, these two coin has a big possibility to increase the value like what bitcoin did for this year. Honestly i do not wait for next year i am already buy there two coin and i only do is to hold and wait to double or triple its value before i sell it.
While waiting i am searching for other coin which has potential for next year, i am seeing IOTA and waves will make difference for their current value but still i am reading some news in these two coins.

Also Keep an eye on Exscudo which will be launching Q1 2018.

Right now with its recent rise in credibility (AND low price thanks to btc dropping in value for the Christmas Holidays :)) I'd definitely go in on XSPEC.  Privacy is undervalued right now but with the increasing Police/Nannystate and world governments' obsessive need to control the minutia of daily life... that won't last long.  As people desire to have their private lives projected further and further from watchful eyes of data companies and other observational entities they will move to coins like Monero, Spectrecoin, Sumo, etc. 
I'd expect to see a jump in them, but XSPEC is due to be listed on BISQ soon which is huge for them and their price point is low.  Definitely worth checking out.

This is an interesting pick.  Koreans hold about 20% of BTC.  That's true.  And Boscoin is the first "SK" crypto (It looks like it's managed in the Netherlands but designed in Korea)... also true.  But what is it about the SK BTC market that makes you think they will support BOScoin?  I'm not saying you're wrong... AT ALL.  Just curious.

edit:  It may be more or less than 20% that SK owns since last I checked. 

If I had two picks (hey, it's Xmas!) it would be SpectreCoin XSPEC and IntenseCoin ITNS.

Privacy coins are going to be key themes in 2018, and SpectreCoin XSPEC is the most private of privacy coins out there with Tor obfuscation, and a lot of privacy features in the roadmap to come including default stealth addresses and stealth PoS staking.

If you consider buying in volume, digital currency that is starting to rise from a cheaper price with big market capitalization will be my #pick comes 2018. All those attributes i've mentioned can only be found in Ripple alt coin.

My pick for January would be Substratum as they are due to release there product.

I also think its going to be a big year for Privacy coins like Monero.

I Quantstamp has a lot of potential to go x4+ by end of March if not sooner. If the December HODLer airdrops are good, expect a big bump in Jan/Feb.
