I think it is pretty possible. The interest to Etherum is risin' and basically it is following Bitcoin, so if bitcoin will hit 20k$ by the end of the year as many people promising there is no doubt that ETH will rise as well.

I think you can get to that value, I also believe that Bitcoin can still reach $ 20,000 this year with this can give a boost in the Ethereum to raise the value still in dollars.

Yeah it can, after bitcoin people are searching for some cheap coins which have same potential as of bitcoin and can increase by 10 fold in next few years. ETH is second by marketcap and it has more than bitcoin, so definitely people will keep on buying ETH which can easily push price to over $700 within this year.

If i had to bet i would say it will. Maybe end the year around 700 as support and 750~ or so as resistance. Im excited to see what happens when they start implementing things like sharding, casper, raiden and plasma. Everyone will go crazy.

There is a huge gap betwenn ether and bitcoin price so if ether wants to be still in the competition it will definetly make an attack on market as it must remain the queen.

I think the ETH will not hit 700$ by the end of 2017. The main reason is most ETH are kept by ICO dev team, they have to sell them to make development. Also, there is only 20 days left.

It looks like it right now, there seems to be some sort of pump happening for all of the major cryptos. My guess is new money looking for somewhere else to invest aside of bitcoin to try and replicate bitcoins growth?

I think it's going to easily break the 700$ and then people will invest heavily causing it to grow past the 1000$ sometime at the start of 2018.

I think this will happen very soon. Etherum is currently on the increase, and the Etherum network is also beginning to recover from a time of congestion. Today Etherum has risen 40% in the past 24 hours. I also invested in Etherum at a time when it was low.

Definitely mate, I think that Ethereum can even break $800 by the end of this month/ year. I think many people are bullish on ETH and will likely realize their Bitcoin profits into Ethereum. Maybe this rally will start right after the upcoming Bitcoin forks, I guess many people are waiting for those forks to happen before they start realizing their profits.

Based on the coinmarketcap site, ETH was got a big change in its price on 24 hours for about 23%. My thought was ETH will reach $800++ this last year.

Well I think its not impossible considering the current price of ethereum in the market. In fact I believe it will reach more 700$ at the end of the year. Probably hitting around 720$ to 750$. Ethereum has a lot of potential and it will continue to increase its value over the next few years just like bitcoin. So its not yet too late to buy some ethereum as an investment. The earlier you have, the greater the probability of profit in the long run.

I hope so, I hope eth will be 1000 in January 2018. That's a big profit for eth holders. LTC. ETC are great investment too. The price increase slowly. I think they are better coins than tokens. Holding unpopular tokens will not make any profit but holding eth, btc, etc and ltc is very promising in 2018.

It will even pass the $700 dollar you are forcasting. if within a week it has appreciated from 430 to 6000 ,then it is possible to hit that price.

Now the price has reached 600 to $ 700 left on the doorstep. And after CASPER and everything else will run and work well the price immediately come to 1000 $ very easily. The highest value of etherium I know was $ 678.81, so it was never impossible that it will not reach $700 by the end of 2017, since it is growing so fast. As I was typing, it's value is currently $ 617.22 ;D

This will happen any day as ethereum is already above 650$ when i am writing this reply, it can touch 700$ any time. Now the bull run just start for ethereum and it can take ethereum to 1000$ or even higher.

I assume it will reach $900 before the end of the year, since I really didn't expect that it will reach $600 that fast. The last time I look at it's price it is all about $470+ then yesterday it really surprised me. So I won't be surprise anymore when it reaches $900 or even $1000 at new years eve.

I guess 1k is the next realistic big goal since $700 was passed already today. ETH still has a lot of room to grow if you look at its value relative to bitcoin. It has been gradually falling and I don't think that's a fair reflection of ethereums worth.

The price is already $740. It's not so far from $1000 and now this level looks very achievable. But ofc another scenario could happen too. The correction down to $450-500.

Of course it's a big yes for me. Ethereum price today is more than $700 and by the end of december 2017 ethereum will reach up to $1000. Because of it's lowest transaction fees, people now are on the way to invest ethereum more than bitcoin.

Seeing the speed of price growing I can really suppose that the ETH price could become above 1000USD. With the time ETH will stabilize on some price mark but it is hard to predict surely now there.

Ethereum coin now are increasing in silence, because some users were focused to bitcoin due to continues increasing. They can't notice that some coin are increasing too, I was thankful because I still hold my ethereum and it was increase doubled. We have been seeing some likelihood of more increase coming for some of these coins even after their little corrections, so I would imagine Ethereum also having its own swift run as well at this moment. etherium is not on the second place anymore because bitcoincash has already beat him and now bitcoincash is the new number one altcoins that is next and second to bitcoin.  though majority of people are still a etherium enthusiast and they are still praising and supporting etherium to the fact that etherium is still good and better than bitcoincash in terms of usage and productivity. bitcoincash on the other hand is a good altenative to bitcoin due to its bigger block size which transactions can move fast and freely without any problems.

It already did, and it will continue to move up. If bitcoin will break the $20,000 mark, I think its easy for ethereum to break the $1000. Just hope and pray that all is fine  with Eth and it wont slide down to $300 again.

Ether is one of my favorite alt coin. I think it will be way more that this. Whenever ether goes lower, I'm buying even more with believe that it will be more than 2K usd in 2018.

Really watching. This is something that most of us have been eagerly waiting for and now that we have it, I guess our target must have changed right now. It is above, but we cannot really say for now if it is going to get past and keep going higher.

I think ethereum already hit 700$ by this time and it will go higher by the end of the year and at the start of 2018 since the problems with ethereum's transactions and bitcoin's value instability is getting sorted out. So expect for some rise to ethereum's value and fame for sure.

What is funny is that this was made just few days ago and then Ethereum decided to blow past the $700 mark. Ethereum has been a stable coin for a while now, so I won't say it does not stand a chance of settling back and doubling up later again. It has been a glorious year for most of the coins and so far, things are beginning to get even more interesting for holders of most of these coins.

Pretty agree with you on that one, ETH has shown some degree of stability amidst the whole turbelence and the price is gradually becoming stable too. Though am hoping for a little more rise, a dip and then an exponential increase by first few months of 2018.

A dip is not possible if the market perception of the others keep going like this. They act hungry and they show a high demand for ether, then its price keeps rising a lot.

Experts aren't saying Ethereum will peak at $1000, just take a look at most ICOs who refuse to sell their ETH because they see the long term potential in it and so only cash out as necessary.

A lot believe it will hit $1000 in the short term and perhaps before the end of the year, but by the end of next year it will definitely be somewhere between $2000 and $5000 if not more.

Am I late to reply? I would say yes. Let's ask, will ETH price hit 1500$ by the end of 2018? My reply would be same again.

The next target is $1000 obviously, but the problem is downtrend of bitcoin. If bitcoin starts to go up, ethereum will follow bitcoin hard and it will pass $1000 easily this year.

i think you made a good speculation ether now is almost 900 dollars i have always thought that ether's price is undervalued but i am bit afraid about the period it will last before it crashes.

the ethereum price is already above 800$. i think the crypto hype is at it's begining and we have more and more people investing in new projects mostly ERC-20 tokens.

YES! ETHEREUM already did ! eth has reached a milestone closer to 1000USD so i think the next price on the line that ETH will have is more than 1000 USD per token. eth is one of the most uses token specially on ICO.

Most likely, the Ether for the New Year will cost about 700 dollars. Now the price is 680 dollars and in two days it will be able to reach $ 700. And maybe there will be a dump and the price will drop to $ 350  ;D

I think $ 800 is not the limit for Etherium. In my opinion, it can easily reach $ 1000 in the first months of 2018.

I bought ETH even at the moment when it costs $ 280. And I plan to keep it until the end of 2018. I think it will cost at least $ 2000.
