Title: a bitcoin fork against bitcoin forks
Post by: starit on December 12, 2017, 10:09:49 PM
There has been too many bitcoin forks starts from Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold. I really don't like these forks except Bitcoin Cash. Some of the forks even have pre-mining, and it is absolutly not what a fork should do.

So I tried to do a project to demo how a good fork looks like and it's called BitcoinCPU(http://bitcoincpu.org). I came up with 4 points that a good fork should at least follow:

* Road-map conflicts
* No pre-mining
* Formal code release before mining starts
* Replay attack protection.

This project is just for fun and practice, and it may make people think about what a fork should do and the real value of it.

I wonder how you guys think about this project.

BTW, I don't have lots of time to study and work on this project since I haven't use C/C++ for a long time(that only happend when I was at university). I can only do this in my spare time and it may tooks long time to finish. If any of you are interested in this project, you may contribute to this project.

after this, I also want to setup an standard according to the above poins and get a blacklist of these forks.
