Title: Transfer money from paper wallet to wallet and back to paper wallet and stay...
Post by: TAnalyzer on December 12, 2017, 10:23:29 PM
Hey,

i have bitcoins in paper wallet, i want to replace the paper wallet to a new one (security reasons)
as far as i know the only thing i can do is open regular wallet and from there to import the bitcoins and send it to the new paper wallet.
correct me if i'm wrong here?!

the problem is, i want to keep those bitcoins anonymously all the way so i tried with Tor but no wallet is working properly with Tor and the ones who does don't have the
import option.

what can i do?

Have you tried running a full node? You can make your own paper wallet there as the receiver.
And how much "anonimousity" do you need that you're not trusting the top alternative clients around?

Most of the paper wallets can only be exported and imported.Paper wallets are safe to hold funds but then it becomes a problem if you want to do repeated transactions.  To stay anonymous you could install a wallet which supports generation of multiple Bitcoin addresses. For example Myeclium, Electrum, Coinbase etc... generates a new wallet address every time you receive an amount of BTC in your wallet to stay anonymous and secure your funds. The charges of Coinbase transactions are a bit high and so I would suggest you to use Mycelium or Electrum as they have the option to choose a custom transaction fee. These wallets have a seed which contains the private keys of every address which is generated on your wallet. Be sure to backup the passphrase when you download the wallet.

You could possibly create an offline copy of https://coinb.in/#newTransaction

While offline, you could create and sign the transaction that sends from your old paper wallet, to the new paper wallet... and then just go online with just the "signed transaction" hex and broadcast it using an online transaction broadcast service (see: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_broadcasting) via Tor or a VPN or something??

NOTE: I've not tried broadcasting transactions using Tor, so I'm only guessing if that is actually possible.

That looks like what i'm looking for. where can i find the format of transactions? non of those website show how to write it.
let's say i have private key A(with public key a) and i want to transfer it to private key B(with public key b)
what should i write?

coinb.in should create it for you... it's actually better if you set it up online first... put the "address A" in... it'll find all the available UTXOs for that address to use as inputs for your transaction.

MOVE OFFLINE.

Then you simply add your output address and the amount (remember, you need to calculate the fee so that output amount = input amount - transaction fee)... and click submit... it'll create the unsigned transaction for you.

Then you just copy/paste the unsigned transaction into the "sign" page... add your private key... click "submit" and boom... signed raw transaction that you can broadcast :)

MOVE ONLINE.

Copy/paste the signed raw transaction and put it into the broadcast page and click submit.

There are no settings or addresses. Just paste a signed transaction and click 'submit transaction'.

You need to make up your mind about this. You will remain anonymous with Bitcoin. There is in fact a good way to store your money with the leading services around as well.
