Title: Bismuth ~ Python Blockchain ~ SHA224 ~ Most Profitable GPU Coin
Post by: Gladimor on December 12, 2017, 11:11:18 PM
Hi all,

Just recently, GPU Miners have been made public for the SHA224-base64 mining algorithm Bismuth employs. Bismuth is a Python blockchain coded from scratch and has every line written in Python over the course of nearly 2 years of development (testnet since 2016, launched May 2017). The Bismuth platform retains capabilities encompassed by many leading alternative currencies such as dAPPS and tokens featured by Ethereum, anonymity from Monero, and on-chain messaging/notes featured in multiple other platforms. Bismuth draws ideas from the best of the best cryptocoins and reformulates/recreates it in Python to be compatible with the Bismuth platform. Every line of Bismuth's code is original, and not copied from any other project. As of this post, the Bismuth project has over 2,000 commits on github by its extremely competent development team.

EggPool GPU Miner (Nvidia and AMD/Windows and Linux) - http://eggpool.net/

An AMD RX 470/480/570/580 should achieve anywhere between 400-600 MH using the above pool software.
An Nvidia 1080 Ti should achieve anywhere between 1000-1600 MH using the above pool software.

Currently, 1 block is worth ~23 USD, and a single rig of 6 GPUs is capable of finding 1 block per day at current difficulty. Bismuth is one of the most profitable coins to mine right now.

You need to update hashrate, my current miner on AMD 570/580 or 470/480 is about 400 MH/s, but soon will integrate new .cl file. Also 1080ti gives about 1600 MH/s

Hi there,

Newbie here, but I'm involved in Bismuth since a while :)
As a miner, it is still very profitable to mine.
Bismuth is very promising: first full python blockchain, written from scratch, with innovative features and a nice dev team.
I learnt a lot about crypto by just reading the $BIS code.

As a pool owner (EggPool.Net) : I spent a lot of time building a solid infrastructure and developing custom code to get a reliable pool.
Several servers around the world, several pools : no single point of failure.
A custom protocol that ensures efficient mining, thus finding more blocks.
A custom optimized GPU miner, AMD and NVIDIA, LINUX and WINDOWS.
610+ MH/S for stock RX580, 1800/1900+ for a 1080Ti.

Price has more than doubled recently, mining is extremely lucrative.

Price is up a couple hundred percent since the latest post. Mining is extremely profitable, please support the network! It is much more profitable to mine BIS than other coins right now.

Are Radeon 5xxx (VLIW5 arch) compatible with this coin? How many H/s should a Radeon 5770 1GB GDDR5 yield?

OP was involved with a HYIP/ponzi.

While it may be a legitimate pool, don't discount the possibility that you will mine on his/her pool and never receive payment. It has happened many times in the past and will continue if people don't bother to look at people's Trust/history.

I have not had any dealings with the OP nor this pool he may very well be an upstanding member, but Vod doesn't hand out negative Trust for no reason. I, personally, would not support this endeavor.

As with any coin/pool do you research before jumping.

~23 USD/day on 6 of which GPUs? Forgive my ignorance, but is that supposed to be good?

Hey there. Basically did altcoin trading for the people that participated. Also promised that their balances would be reimbursed if there was a loss accrued while trading. Ending with every investor getting their money back with a sweet return (over 100+ BTC). Vod refused to remove the feedback of course, feeling his ego got damaged since I was the first individual on BCT to actually return coins. This was 2 years ago now. I have 1 negative feedback and many dozens of positive feedback.

Oh and by the way, I don't run those two pools. Each one is run by a different individual, and each one has a unique miner implementation on the GPU.

One block is now around $90 USD (14.5 coins @ $6 USD each). The price rose.

Not sure I think if you move coins at 10 vs 1 the fee is less.

Yeah 10% seems to be fee
