Title: Saving a transaction with a low fee
Post by: gaggia on December 13, 2017, 01:18:38 AM
Hello guys!

I attempted to make a payment from my Electrum wallet to my Coinbase wallet. But, since my payment has yet to receive even a single confirmation in the past 48 hours, I suspect the fee was too low. I bumped the fee twice on Electrum, and now it's up at 109 satochis per byte, and I'm hoping that clears. But in the meanwhile, the receiving address of the transaction changed to something I don't recognize.

Do you guys know a) whether this is a problem b) how I may be able to fix this?

Thanks!!

in your "Send" tab check out that slider which is setting your fee/kB (divide it by 1000 to get fee/B!). that  can tell you how low your 109 satoshi/Byte is. (hint: currently the lowest suggestion is at 243 s/B and highest at 500 s/B).

as for your second issue, i am not sure why you are not recognizing the receiving address!
are you sure you are not confusing your change address with receiving? because it is possible that when bumping fee, Electrum deducted the fee from the output belonging to the coinbase.
