Title: Coinbase Cheapside GB charges?
Post by: RRobinson on December 14, 2017, 12:35:50 AM
Apologies in advance as this more of a Coinbase or US Bank issue, but I want to reach to the broader audience of all you smart people.  I'm relatively new to the game.

I've been hit by some fees that have the name in the subject line.  Does this ring a bell to anyone?  I live in the US, and from what I've gleaned CB has a new office in London that goes by the name Coinbase Cheapside.

Some say it's normal.  The first few puny charges just automagically disappeared. Then a big one hit that did not.

So is a Coinbase thing or a US bank thing?  Any and all comments are welcomed, including if I'm an idiot.

Cheers,

RR

If you’re talking about charges per transaction that’s just the fee it cost to send bitcoin. If you’re speaking of the charges you get buying and selling I believe that is what Coinbase charges to make money. How big of a charge did you get hit with?

$500 on a $7500 buy.   That charge came from "Coinbase Cheapside GB" and was charged to a linked debit card, that was NOT used for the transaction.  The $7500 was drawn from a bank checking account.

The important is these were in addition to, and not related to the regular fees that come from "COINBASE.COM/BTC 1"

Thanks for the reply.
