Title: Poloniex
Post by: marksj on December 14, 2017, 01:30:29 AM
Avoid Poloniex!

They have dropped my withdrawal limit to $0 - in response to my uploading a valid ID card. $10,000 worth of alt-coins that I can not access. Unbelievable. They do not answer support requests.

They seem to be attempting to steal the coins.

I've been using Poloniex for almost 1 year now and I have no problem relating into this. It seems that they are just being skeptical because you have a big amount of holdings so your verification must be fully comply first. It is true that their support sucks most of the time in responding to their users but they will resolve this case if you follow the rules. I know it is frustrating to wait but they will not steal your coins and you must document everything for your evidence just in case it worsen.

I once lost my mobile phone and my 2Factor Authentication is there and I contact their support to disable it for me to access again my account and they resolve it for more than 2 weeks because they are requesting too much information for my real ownership and that's fine with me for as long as they restore it.

how could it be happen to you? I think if you are still a non verified user, you can still withdraw your coins to other exchanges. in a few days ago, my account which is not verified yet, I can withdraw some of my coins to another exchange without any problem. did you send a ticket to support system? if yes, what did they said? or they did not yet reply your ticket? if so, then you need to wait for their reply first and then you can upload your personal identification.

Are you able to do KYC? if not, then it's not the end of the world.  You will hodl your coins/tokens basically while you wait for them to unlock your account & verify docs.

How that happened?
I made withdrawal week or two ago and everything was fine.
I've never verified account or something and I have 2000$ daily limit  :-\
