I would like to ask you, what is the best ALT Coin in 2017? according to the thought there is, yes definitely a lot of the best coin, but here I ask what is best according to you

ETH is clearly one of the best altcoin, price fluctuations are still stable, very safe to invest in ETH.This is my opinion that is still newbe.

Litecoin is topper till now

in 2018. RGC is going to rock like anything

The best ALT of 2017 the first goes to etheruem because ETH has proved to be solidly behind bitcoin in the exchange market, the second one is the bitcoincash which is all out with new features and high tech. Another remarkable coin is the litecoin which is also doing well in the exchange market, I think the above mentioned alt are the most profitable alt in the market right now.

LTC: for obvious reasons. because it is hyped up.
IOTA: it is an interesting project and because it has a very low price easy to pump.
ByteBall: the airdrops are becoming so small and also its adoption has grown.
PIVX: up and coming coin similar to DASH but without the premine.

That would be my list too. Maybe I would switch 2 and 3, but 2017 isn't over yet and the the rise of LTC might be.

Maybe Litecoin is the best of all altcoins but still the year not finished so still we may have some time to choose the winner of 2017.

LTC made 100 times price increase in this yeas so it maybe the winner in my opinion. :)

I have 2 in mind now. It' s Litecoin and Etherium. These re my best as of now, I see a lot of potential on these two altcoins today. And I think in 2018, they will still be at the top. Litecoin today is starting to make a hit that shocked everyone. Little by little, these altcoins will soon be as popular as bitcoin.

I think in 2018 we'll see Dash and Ethereum pull ahead of the pack. I think the BTC clones will fall behind a bit, only BTG looks interesting with the equihash base. I also think BTC congestion will slow its growth, allowing more advanced projects to take the lead.

I think the best alt in 2017 is monaco. omg, cvc and neo are also good this year. But if for short and long term investment, I think eth is the best choice.

Eth turned from a stable coin to a hyper volatile in less than a months time. This is not good, because the idea behind the coin is to be used a currency, and not as a hyper volatile longterm commodity.

Ripple , Xrp can be good too but i suggest Bitcoin cash was promising but the price isnt stable.

The Best are Litecoin, and Ethereum. We have seen very sharp Litecoin price increase for the last one year. Ethereum increased but safe and steadily.

LTC struggled for three years, promising to go over $100. They finally had their hope fulfilled and then some. I still think the future lies with Dash and Etehreum though. I hope Helium can get in the game soon and offer real-world value as well.

Litecoin and Ethereum are my favorites this year, both had a great rally in the last months and I dont think that they are done yet. They will moon more in 2018!

Ethereum would be the best altcoin in 2017. It's the second best cryptocurrency after Bitcoin. Then there is Litexoin, Dash, Montero, Ripple. These altcoins come after Ethereum.
Next year altcoins will be more important than they are now. In fact, 2018 will be the year of the altcoins.

I see a made a right decision in investing on it if there is this amount of support from the forum.
Anyways, I would also recommend Ethereum since it had gotten far from being called just an altcoin before.
I suppose there will be much changes when the next year comes.

In my opinion I think the best one is ethereum because almost all of the projects and ICO that is being presented these past couple of months is Ethereum base platform. It has a low value and low transfer fee too.

I would remove bitcoincash for now. That coin was just manipulated to get to that position and I really do not take that as the best option. Sure, what virtually 90% of the community is after now is profit, so, some holders of Bitcoincash may really be happy they held the coin right now.

Nevertheless, the market has really shown some great sign of increase and improvement this year, so I really would not displace any coin for now, but if I were really to choose, I would rather go for the first one you mentioned.

Ethereum, Waves, and Neo would be the best altcoin in 2017. The etherium showed its potential to be watched in 2018 for NEO and waves.

Not just Litecoin, so many coins are doing well right now, if you are viewing from the profit angle. Nevertheless, for now, a lot of coins have really done well this year and trying to pick a best ALT in 2017 may really not just be that easy. However, if we are just to look at the ALT with a better and general improvement this year, probably we may just have to stick with Ethereum.

The best alt depends on what you are trying to classify as the best. Market cap ? The value increase ? The project itself and the product it has to offer ? All these things could be put together to classify if an Alt is good or not and as far as I am concerned, we may just say Ethereum may fill those gaps right now. Some other coins could have done well in some other areas, but looking at a general view of it, I would go for ETH.

For me, Ethereum has proven himself better, despite being inexperienced, analyzing graphs we see a quality of growth, proving to be a solid currency, another factor, even with recent problems, has been growing steadily, showing again that it is beyond the system.

for me it's more FOMO Eth is the second most known crypto after BTC by the crowd. it's already congest and tens of team will release their product in the coming month on the network. What can we expect? the evolution of TX/s will never follow that. for me ETH is the victim of his own success and people will be disappointed when they will figure it out. Ethereum, at this stage, can't run all the smart-contract that have raised an ICO this year.

As for me, the best Altcoin 2017 was little known alt EDG. In the spring of 2017 I purchased it for the remaining 8$.

In my opinion the best altcoins for 2017 is  XLM, Cardonaa, Monero, Ripple and Litecoin, because this all coins have great project ahead and good future also. And you can see this all coins jumped almost 10x to 20x in 2017.Other side I will prefer Ether, because Ether is stable and balanced coin. you can see Ether rose more than 50% in last 10 days. And the last one Bitcoin because bitcoin is ever green for all time.

I think litecoin is best altcoin in this year,because it made huge price bump in this year the price raised from $2.5 to $400 and the price still keeps increasing.So this litecoin is one of the best promising altcoin and it will give good profits in long term investments.

It is hard to point out 1 coin, this is due to 2017 is the year of Cryptocurrency both of Bitcoin and altcoin. Most of them have huge development such as litecoin, eth, bitcoin cash, iota, dash, ...so on

Although most people are much bullish about ether and a lot of money is being diverted towards it, I think that EOS would come out as a surprise winner and give the best ROI in 2018.

The best altcoin in 2017 in my opinion is staring at you at #2---Ethereum. Smart contracts, PoW/PoS, alot of ICOs were based on the Ether platform. I think in the beginning of the year it started at $10 and now its $800. Wow can you imagine a crypto that returns 80x and can still potentially grow even bigger? I wish I had my hand in this altcoin, but I was so distracted in other altcoins and BTC.

Litecoin proved to be a very good pick at the beginning of the year. Tward the end Cardano and PowerLedger proved to be very strong pick as well. There are many other coins as well that could be on this list though.
