Title: Free Open Source Decentralized Exchange - Pledge 10 BTC Post by: fabianhjr on January 03, 2011, 03:31:33 AM The idea is similar to Ripple. To get a web of trust of people who is willing to exchange you currencies or commodities. You building a trust with others should be able to join the market and make bids and asks. This should not depend in any server. This shall allow us to reach markets were by law no one can compete with the govts or big companies. After all, who can they sue on this one?
Pledges so far:
Title: Re: Free Open Source Decentralized Exchange - Pledge 10 BTC Post by: nanotube on January 03, 2011, 04:26:29 AM decentralization is already planned by the ripple project itself.
see http://ripple-project.org/Main/PotentialRippleClients (particularly the link to the 'funding pool') see also https://groups.google.com/group/rippleusers/browse_thread/thread/200a0b999702e33a so, you would do better to join the existing ripple effort rather than starting out on your own from scratch. Title: Re: Free Open Source Decentralized Exchange - Pledge 10 BTC Post by: fabianhjr on January 03, 2011, 03:26:49 PM Wait, I read your pledge, it is different as far as I am concerned. This should be helping out to implement the Ripple Concept to an exchange. I will go with them then. :)
/Topic lock. Pledge cancelled. It is more appropriate to help the Ripple guys. |
