Title: Looking for feedback on Browser mining/donation site
Post by: cpufanboy on December 14, 2017, 04:10:33 AM
Hey Folks,

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post...

I have been working on a small site that allows users to park web browsers to mine XMR or BTC (currently using Mining Pool Hub since NiceHash's crash and burn) for themselves.

The basic idea is this:

1. You can open a browser tab on any system to help mine where ever you are, on as many systems as you like.
2. You can share your 'mining link' with you friends/family to mine on your behalf.
3. You can add an anonymous 'donate by mining for me' link from your website to let your visitors choose to mine for you as a donation.

Another little quirk is that the site randomly distributes the mining efforts of 'anonymous' visitors amongst all the active miners, which gives a small, random hashing bump to folks who are currently mining.

The site: http://xmr.cpufan.club/ (http://xmr.cpufan.club/)

The donation feature to me seems to be fairly useful way to allow people to monetize websites honestly-- your visitors would decide to donate to their cpu cycles to you (in contrast to the sneaky mine in the background type sites).  Visitors need only open a tab to donate to you.

The site's fee is fairly insignificant (1%), but I would be very interested any suggestions, feature ideas, or thoughts.

Thanks for your consideration.
