Post by: the_observer on December 14, 2017, 08:57:18 AM
Hi everybody

Glad to be here since i see a lot of useful stuff i can read and learn.

Btw i wonder , do you think is there any chance some altcoin will bypass Btc in the future ?

Ethereum's ether token is most likely to spur the change, given it has increased  about 3,000% this year with no signs of slowing.

Predicting the future is like RSVP-ing: Yes, No, or Maybe. It can go either way. If you're buying or trading, understand what you're doing first, get to know your coins and the project behind them. Trade responsibly. ;)

Ethereum may be the alternative of BTC. It also running with full speed like BTC. So you can trust with ETH.

It's really hard bypass BTC.

But i think some of child of BTC such as BCH or BTG will be great value in near future.

BTC take too long to send and receive and too high fee.

Just personal opinion.

Regards !

I think it depends on how cryptocurrencies are adopted over the next 2 to 3 years.
I can see a market for smaller, faster transactions rising rapidly as it becomes more ingrained in day to day life of people.
Im also a newb, though, so this is all just conjecture, my own opinion really.

It's a bull market today just like stocks or forex I think if there's a good market they will show the good news as well to get more to come and when it's bad it's the same to take it down more.

Hi.. Noob here too.

I think chances of alt coin bypassing BTC is low, however it will only take a stream of bad press/mis-haps for it to happen. Similar to way no one predicted BTC will cost USD16.5K in 2017, no one can predict others too.

My policy is to cover all my grounds and spread invest. I will loose money on some, hopefully gain more on others to cover losses.

Hi! I think exist some qoins that can come over bitcoin.

Title: Re: Hi all. Newbie here
Post by: testyourinvest on December 14, 2017, 03:21:25 PM
I think in a few years from now ,
there will be a crypto capable of handling all the worlds transactions and can be applied as a common currency.
Bitcoin wont be able to do this right now ,
but who knows how much they will improve BTC or if it is easier to just come up with a new system .
The algorythm will have to change to a higher standard in a few years from now to stay secure but i am quite sure they will keep developing more and more to keep BTC in the game.
So a reworked version of BTC might be able to overtake the lead , maybe ETH .. who knows , its all speculation.

Litecoin price is now on fire in coin markets. Day by day Ltc price is rising up.so I think some ltc is better for trading future.  I hope 🤞 you will do it's stake & hold some coins for trade .
Thank you 😊

Thank you all for your answers.
What worries me most is that although there are many altcoins with better technology than BTC ,  it doesnt seem that this affect people .

I believe most do not care about the crypto technology rather are driven by profit creed and hype .

So i think that we will see various other things first (e.g. goverments and or banks involvement in the area) rather an altcoin bypass BTC

Thank you for your time reading this.

Probably ethereum. But Bitcoin is the first coin and most known so it will be hard to pass it. But there are a lot of other coins with you can make money in the future.

Well price wise per coin or token it already exists, go to coinmarketcap.com/all/views/all/ click on price (descending order) and witness for yourself.

But market cap wise I think it will not happen at least for a very long time, since Bitcoin has superior brand name and most secure network it beats the market cap of all alt-coins combined.

It's very hard to predict, but more likely not... Nevertheless consider will it effect the way you trade or handle your strategies. If you are a trader Always be on alert of the King "BTC" movements & coins like ETH, LTC to trade well & understand the market trend for your betterment.

I think i have seen a related post like this elsewhere, But still let me give my plain opinion. I cantsay with certainty that any coin can surpass bitcoin but i think we just might get there because most investors now are looking into altcoins and investing in them mostly because of faster transaction speed and we all know bitcoin isnt si much fast at transactions even the transaction fee charge at times is annoying. for now its the king of cryptocurrency but that might change SOON

Hi all. I think the market is full of good ideas and new promising coins coming in 2018. Not only BCT or ETH. And the attractivity of new coins will be determined by whether they solve a significant community problem or not.

Tnx in advance, a lot.

It is likely that other cryptocurrencies, such as Ethereum, will be more popular for bitcoin. Bitcoin has problems in the network today. High commission, delays with translations, this all slows down its development.

Hi! I truly believe that no altcoin can beat the old man. Btc is running for a long time, hence it is the basis of all the digital currency, it is the most valued coin. It's superiority, popularity and the its value is the main reason why investors are kept on investing in btc.

I think NEO ETC and normal competitors of bitcoin!!!Ripple have no chance, since all banks choose the transaction within the network, not the coin itself((so be with anyone else in the future to compete bitcoin.Main idea prepared on a saucer on the blockchain, and then small!!!

Hi there. Your question got a lot of thinking down my end. If ever any altcoin will surpass bitcoin that would be a big question. As for now it is impossible since bitcoin is still gaining grounds and the price continue to rise up now and then. It;s like now because of bitcoin, these alternatives are also following the footstep. With its added technology, pretty well sure they will also rise up. With good standing and trading might as well do. Popularity and market wise, bitcoin beats all even in the future. So for now number one still bitcoin and in the future will be a deciding to watch who will outran bitcoin.

ETH is the future

Well in some way buy not so sure. It has a strong competitors as IOTA, Ripple and Waves. Also it;s a Tron appeared not long ago. So we can't predict how the world would go.

Anything is possible.  Being the first to market doesn’t necessary mean it will stay that way forever.  Right now it looks like Ethereum has lots potential.  But who knows, maybe down the road something else will take the lead.

Title: Re: Hi all. Newbie here

What I dont understand is why people buy XRP, Ripple is not what crypto is about. It is centralized! Banks and shit, exactly what crypto has the possibility to get peoples funds away from! There are a lot of coins on the market today that is better then BTC(lower fees, faster transaction, better tech) but it will be hard to surpass Bitcoin.

I agree with you about eth. But i think gvt will shining like a star at the end of 2018.
I think lots of coins lots of project is better then eth. But eth is more powerful now.
Otherway Waves is my favourite.

Will i think monero bypass in the future, because is an open source, 100% completely private and anonymous blackchain base currency.
Unlike Bitcoin is a public record.bitcoin uses a transparent blackchain. If you give your friend bitcoin.they can see how many bitcoin  in your wallet and they give a reason why some people interested in your account.

There are lot of fundamentally good coins having solid use cases and functional product running is production.
But people tend to get emotionally attached to a coin. Same is the case with BTC. There are many good coins which can surpass it but emotions matter in market so it's hard for any coin to surpass it as of now. We don't know what future holds since all of crypto is at its nascent stage right now.
