This Russian Presidential Candidate Wants to Legalize Bitcoin

Titov, the leader of Russia’s Party of Growth, revealed that he would legalize popular cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and ethereum and that people would be able to store them in banks and exchanges, having the ability to pay for things outside of Russia with them.

Not if Putin has any say about that. Yes, Putin might sign off on Ethereum, but I doubt that he would be supporting Bitcoin in

the same way. He had some nice talks with Vitalik Buterin and the other founders with their centralized leadership over

Ethereum. If the news broke that Russia will be using Ethereum as their reserve currency, then I would not be surprised at

all. Putin and the Russian government wants something they can control and I think Vitalik Buterin's Ethereum is the kind of

tool they are looking for.  ::)

If he had any chance of victory, then that would be good news, but unfortunately he will not win and that's just news that does not change anything. He asked the Russian government to legalize bitcoin and other altcoins and he also believes that this may be something good for russia's economy, the problem is that this would give freedom to the russian people and this is problem for people like putin and his political party

maybe they'll create their own Cryptocurrency

There will always be some supporters against every step that is wrong .
Banning bitcoin in Russia is a very drastic and wrong step taken by the Putin government  . A huge percentage of the ICOs and the crypto users belong to Russia , which might lead to heavy losses to them .
The leader of Russian party might know about the benefits of bitcoin after its introduction in the economy , which apparently the Putin government cannot see .  The bitcoin ban is doing no good to them for sure.

let first legitimize popular cryptothermia, and that people can store them in banks and exchanges. These are just words, first let's do something one of it. Then I think people will appreciate it at the elections
