I have 13 XUC(Exchange union) trading at $12... currently. How much eth balance should be in my account to send it to the exchange deposit address?

You don't need a lot of Ether to pay for the gas. Just keep like 0.1 or even 0.01 eth and you'll be good for a long time, unless you set gwei to the maximum, then you'll need a lot more than that.

I see gas limit around 50k(set automatically in MEW) and my eth balance is 0.00008294975376399. But failed. It says insufficient balance.

You need to have atleast a 0.01 ETH in your MEWallet for you to be able to trade the tokens to etherdelta.

For now your 13 XUC worth about 160$ in ETH.
DO NOT even try to sell them on etherdelta, you will only loose your money on fees because the volume on this exchange is almost 0. The best way for you is to exchange it to BTC on OKEx exchange: https://www.okex.com/
I've never worked there but they have the bigest volume.

if you have the exchange added tokens in the myether wallet you should be have certain amount in your wallet as the gas charge that will only enable you to take it out from the wallet to exchange.
Else I think it would be adjusted with the tokens which is equals to gas fee. Please confirm that with the tokens users to know exact gas price for the token you are transferring.

to send your token on exchanger,minimum balances on your wallet is 0.01 ETH or above

Before problems with cats in the network, the minimum for changes was 0.001. Today despite having improved the network, will depend on the tokens and the gas generated by itself. It is advisable to have 0.1 in the wallet to avoid embarrassment.

its was about 0.001eth some days before but now you need about 0.006 eth in your account to complete the transaction because ethereum blockchain is pretty much slow and transactions are now much expensive than before so for the quick transactions you need higher gas to move your tokens

For your information it looks the ethereum network still normal and there is no a lot of pending transaction in there. The crypto kitties hype already ended and you can try to put the medium gwei combined by the gas limit to get fast priority for your transaction.

if your token is in Myetherwallet you only need a minimum of 0.01ETH to be able to send and sell your tokens in etherdelta and do not set GWEI too big, maybe 41GWEI is enough
