Hey guys! I have $2000 i want to invest for 3-4 months... maybe more based on your advice. Where and When should i invest and for how long should i invest in altcoins? Any help would be appreciated.  :)

I would spread it in this way:
60% in solid and consolidated cryptocurrencies like ethereum, dash, monero
25% in altcoin, where you can make a short term investment and also do trading if you are able to
15% in ICO (I personally suggest you to follow the ICO that will be done from the Gilgamesh (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2162600.0) project, this project has a top notch team and a strong community)

agreed split money and invest in different type of coins it is the best way to get even more profit in short time and also there are low chances of to loose if you split money like this because investing in just one coin can be profitable but it can be dangerous also because we can not judge the right time of peak for any coin.

Looks like ethereum is growing as crazy now. So from your list of coins probably that's the less risky investment that will still bring quite impressive growth results.

Take into consideration the market is extremely high and could see a correction soon. Spreading out the buying over a month should help negate the risk in it.

20-35% for ripple it's gonna be good invest for you. Other you can spread how u see best. BTC and ETH are good allways

I think the ethereum will grown very strong by the spring, so I will exchange all my altcoins on ethereum, but remember you can not store all the eggs in one basket.

I think you should invest in ETH. Its price seems to be rising and will continue to increase in the future. Investing in Bitcoin is not a bad idea, but I find that so much danger is in it so I think you should not risk investing in it. ETH looks safer, less fluctuate, and increases evenly

Why dont you look deeply over this coin? because they are fraudsters, i suggest you to take a look over theri ANN thread and make a research over the team members.

Dash has been increasing only because it is like the Bitcoin of the Chineses.

I don't really like bcash, so maybe I'm biased, but I would not invest in it. Litecoin, dash and monero are much better options for a payment method crypto than bcash. Ripple has been increasing a lot recently, so it could be a good option. I have no idea why it has been rising, because I didn't heard any news about any new partnership or development for them. Ethereum is always a good choice, and I'm quite bullish on it. It will probably be the second coin to get futures, and it's listed on coinbase, that is getting a lot of new users, so all of those are potencial investors in ether as well.

For a long term, I'd definitely choose Ethereum. I believe it'll overtake BTC in growth percentage in 2018. ETH is one of the most stable and most undervalued coin on the market now, Of course, you can risk and buy some new cheaper coins which are also very prospective, and can give you more dividends, but I prefer not to risk.

Aren't you forgetting the risk due to Ethereum competitors like EOS, Cardano, Neo, and even Bitcoin with lightning and smart contracts?

If you want to invest your money in altcoin then I would suggest you to invest in waves, etherium or bitcoin. Ifor you are considering for a long term investment then waves iso the better option.It has got hugh potential and I am sure by the end of 2018 it's price will cross 75 dollars. For short term investments etherium and bitcoin are better options.

Hello 2000 dollars is good money i have a suggestion for you not choose all of them and divide it equally especially for ethereum and bitcoincash.

The best strategy is to diversify your investment portfolio.ethereum has a solid background and its on fire now.Ripple might be good for long term.i however suggest you consider litecoin and cardano as well.Finally reserve a portion for well researched ICOs like united traders

If you want to make money, invest just in bitcoin, that is the only way that you could earn much more than just putting it into an altcoin.

I wouldn't choose BCH as your top prior, I may go for ETH and Ripple or you can replace that BCH choice of yours into bitcoin. That is way better I guess. Asking when you are going to invest the most preferred time is when the market is on red alert, it means that most of those coins are in selling mode and majority of its holders are starting to sell. And by that moment, take the chance of buying at lower price because after waiting for awhile it will increase again.

Hello my friend i think the three of them alcoins that you have mentioned are all promising especially fotr etheruem and dash. 

I would personally put %60 into Bitcoin and then spread the remaining %40 around in different altcoins.
Ripple is currently going crazy due to the japanese and Korean banks testing out money transfers. Ripple is also going to to be on a money talkshow in Japan tomorrow morning apparently so that may spike the price up even more as others learn about it and invest. I think there will be a correction coming in the next few days or so, might be worth waiting to invest in ripple  when it comes down a little (Just my opinion)
Litecoin pumped hard the past few days and is correcting now but I think it will go up in the future because of the smaller fees and fast transfer times.
I like the GreenMed token, it is a utility token used for purchasing legal cannabis, they will be coming out with there app in the next month or so and I think the price will go up once it is more mainstream,
Monero is a good choice, Neo is currenrly pretty low right now as well and I think it will go up.
Ethereum is a great investment and should keep gaining in the future.
But the best advice I can give is t diversify your portfolio as others have said.

I think you should spend 70 - 80% of your money to invest in ETH and the left on XRP. Don't invest in BCH cause as I know a lot of people are saying that BCH is a kind of scam one, it's just like a tool of the whales to dump the price of Bitcoin :)). At the moment ETH price is dumping a little bit so I think it's a good chance for you to invest in ETH right now ;)

Why not in all? There are so many different interesting coins at the moment, so bitcoin for sure, Ethereum, ripple and some more, but decide... dont know the markets are freaky outed

Ripple and eth have both increased a lot in the last few days. I think eth though has more staying power. Not sure how high ripple can go (i own ripple i bought a long time ago but i wouldn’t buy more on this price currently). I don’t believe in bch long term but maybe that’s just me.

So my answer would be bitcoin if you don’t have any yet, eth and monero.

If you want to invest I would recommend the Ethereum cause investment in this coin can make you big profit in this 4 months you will make the investment in. In this  4 months, ETH will rise even more, maybe even to the value compared to 1000 dollars. Correction price will come soon but not before the spring next year. And in this couple of months, you can make a big profit with the smallest risk ETH has.

if I have to choose one of the coins, I prefer ethereum, we know that the value of ethereum is quite stable.
but the saying goes, do not put eggs in one container, so you should not invest in one coin, invest in some coins, use percentage allocation to match the potential of each coin.

Ethereum, is probably to be the safest investment with good profits.

Id go with Ethereum if i were you. Seems like they hit a pretty good uptrend this week and it doesnt seem to be stopping soon.

why don't you add LTC in the list. LTC is a good coin. It is the segwit and lightning network that has been applied. The price grow in recent days. It reach 0.018 BTC. It is going to be 0.025 in the mid of 2018 in my prediction. ETC is good too. Invest in etc will earn more because the price is about 27 - 30 USD. When the price is to be 35 USD you will make much profit.

If between just these, I would choose ETH - it's steadiest and will surpass 1k in the months IMO. Ripple is on a run, but its done this plenty before only to fall further down. BCH could be a great long term investment, and many still see it as a solution to bitcoin as a currency.

I would suggest to invest on ETH. Its price is constantly rising by time and a much stable coin than the others.

It should be Ethereum (ETH) as it may be able to have a high value like Bitcoin (BTC). Moreover, many factors have now become important support in the scope of Ethereum.

Now it appears that LTC has greater potential.

If this is an investment and you are not going to spend a lot of time on it, then you need to diversify your investment. The most part to invest in ethereum and bitcoin, and the rest in the 3 most promising tokens in your opinion.

If I were in your spot right now, I would cut my $2,000 investment into two equal parts. The first half I would invest in Ethereum (ETH). The second half I would invest in Ripple (XRP). So that makes $1,000 to Ethereum and another $1,000 to Ripple. But since you are going to invest them in 3-4 months only, make sure that you will not enter into such investments with Ethereum and Ripple on their peak. You might end up whining.

On my suggestions i would invest 40% on eth then 40 on ripple and others are for the coins with potential on markets.

Better invest in Bitconnect coin. If you planning to invest in these coins then i suggest you to invest 1500$ in Bitconnect coin and 500$ in ethereum and hold both of them atleast for 3months. You will get good profit.

I would appreciate to go for a long term investment. The three coins you have chosen have good values in the market and more investors like you have started buying them one by one. Hence the value started booming up. Like these coins, other top currencies do have good growth. Invest $2000/3 into each coin. You will certainly gain more profits.

I think diversification is the best strategy, you should by btc, ltc, eth and other solid ones, for tokens or fast profit you may want to look at cobs, im currently investing in that.

That would be a really smart choice to make, Bitcoin Cash has the main guy talking bad about the people that support it.

If I had that amount of money, I'd invest half of it in bitcoin alone and the rest would be in Ethereum. I do think Ethereum will soon pump up and within 3-4 months for sure you ca make profits out of these coins if that's what you're trying to aim.

For the last few days, the price of ripple is rising. You can buy ripple with the 35% of your fund and another 35% of your fund for Eth, and rest of the 30% you can buy bitcoin or bch.

You should buy a fraction of all of them , dont put all in the same one.

my suggestion 50% your money invest at ethereum, ethereum will good potential and growth for long term, then 50% again to other coins. you can buy any altcoin you want. if your goal is to make profit, then you have to observe all the prices. there is still a chance to buy and sell with profit

Ripple will surely go high. This december I heard a news coming from them that there would be launch on something. I don't know if it's ripple or IOTA. Either of those. Ethereum is now awakened because of LTC's growth, it awakened itself. Eth is one of the choice also.

This is why you buy the dip.... Nice steady rise back up. If you want to lock in profit sell half and then buy the next dip. Just remember when the rocket takes off and your half out waiting for the dip your going to lose out on half the wins. Moral of the story. HOLD.

ETH and XRP are both great choices and have both soared recently and likely will continue to do so in long term. But I wouldn't touch BCH - it may go up, it may go down, but there is no value to the coin and no purpose beyond pump and dump.

At this time most of altcoins going dawn, my opinion you should better wait one more week.
I guess after one week there is the best opportunity to buying coins.

I'll invest $1000 to ETH and $1000 to Ripple , I'll holding more than 1 year and not just 3-4 month , a few month investment you can't earn a lot of profit with small capital ($2000)

All three altcoins that you mention are good coin. I am expecting all three coins will rise in future but my first priority always be Ethereum. Ethereum has the good community base too.

Bch if you are daily trader and want some quick profit. BCH is so volatile and it allows daily traders to make some profit. If you prefer long term investments then you should invest those 2k$ into ripple. Ripple is a distributed network which means transactions occur immediately across the network - and as it is peer to peer - the network is resilient to systemic risk.

you must invest in ethereum now because ethereum can reach up to 800$ before the year ends. This makes us millionaire so dont take too much time thinking what is the best altcoin to invest with. Choose ethereum, we must priority eth since this community is very huge and supports all altcoins in the crypto.

Ripple as well as Eth have already come out of the accumulation zone in my opinion. Bitcoin cash does not excites my as its owned mostly by Roger and team. If I were you I would explore more into etherium classic and waves.

Worth $2000 investment is already a good amount and can earn profit in return. If I have this amount my on top investment is btc followed by ethereum and ripple. Yes ethereum is good and best support from users. These will yielded good results in the upcoming months if you invest today.

Are you sure? Ripple biggest scam project on blockchain which passed the limit with pump-dump. There aren't any promise for ripple in future, ripple company can develop a blockchain system for banks but the banks will never use ripple on their service. Addition, we don't need banks anymore :)

In my opinion, ethereum and bitcoin are the best choices. And I heard a lot about ripple, but I don't know about it well.

For sure it is not worth investing into BCH because that coin has no pride itself and it can be dumped at anytime. Plus its too costly to invest into coin like that and could be costlier affair if you buy and loose in the future.

The rest of the two coins are just perfect horses of this crypto race and the ripple is like perfectly grown and handled horse which can make you win this race. My 60% stakes would be on Ripple for its great steady growth in the long term. It will take time for its growth but it will surely make you rich and blessed. The ETH, well no question about it but the only thing that is taken care about this coin is, its not that stable as Ripple is really and so for long term you may wanna go 60% for ripple and 40% for the ETH. 

I'd highly suggest doing your homework before investing in any altcoins. Don't chase the recent ATHs or you're going to be in for a bad time.

You must invest in this month  $1000 in bitcoin and  the other half  ( $1000 ) in ethereum. Because after 3 or 4 months  from that,  the most currencies that will develop quickly  are bitcoin and ethereum (And maybe litecoin but it is not certain  there is a growth in it)
Furthermore,Many statistics prove that there is a progress of  many currencies in the next period.

Out of those 3 i would split it on Eth and Bch... Both should continue to rise and show good returns in the next few months. The amount of Ripple coins does not make it too sexy...

I suggest you to wait for ethereum prize down a bit and then you can buy eth with all your money. It is very safe and profitable coin to invest. I am not sure about ripple or bch, so if i were you i only go with ethereum for sure.

Out of these three I would say Ethereum, but if I were you I would divide my money to smaller shares and would have invested in multiple cryptos (especially Litecoin and Ethereum).

If you ask me, with 2000$ i would dump them all into bitcoin, this year bitcoin has had a massive increase in price going from 1000$ to 17000$ giving poeple investing in it profit that exades the 1700%, and if that does not make you go crazy and doesn't make want to put more money into it than i don't know what will, i know ethereum is having a good pump right now but it is not as high as the bitcoin, with bitcoin you could achive the impossible, just a month ago profit over 70% think if you invest in it now in 3 or 4 month they could become 700%.

In my opinion, what is your profit objective, fast profit? an average or long term? these 3 coins will fit that placement. Eth is short term, Bch is medium term, and Ripple is long term.

1.invest in ripple for 3-4 months may be good because any increasing will multi price.

Why only 3-4 months?  I’d invest it in bitcoin for the long haul.  I think it’s going to be the next berkshare hathaway.

Divide the total budget into pieces. Get ether, ripple, litecoin, monero and bitcoin. This basket will make you enjoy from the money. Just be patient, the rest will follow eventually. It's profitable like this.

And add some. Not diivide it for all with the same parts. Put most in BTC, at least 50% and 10% at least in ETH, other 40% you cn put in any coin you preffere, and it will be good

From your list ETH is more valuable then ripple,bch but if you want my personal opinion I will suggest you LTC.

If I have a capital of $ 2000 then I will split my money as follows:

What do you choose both short term investment or long term investment? If you want to choose for short term investment i suggest for choose BCH, but for at the moment the price BCH is very high he have to increase up to 67% for now. And than if you choose for long term investment i suggest for choose ethereum, because he have a stable price but in the future he have a big potential the price will be high.

Having $2000 I would think about investing in bitcoin, the price of btc is steadily rising, even if it is a slight decrease, it goes and it will go to a dizzying price level. I would have invested more than $2000 in BTC. Also, for many, it has become ethereum and there you will not make a mistake in investing. Leave these investments for more than 3-4 months.

Think you're choices are fine, but why not spread it over your three choices? Maybe add Bitcoin to the mix, but just spread out your investments so you always win and don't put all your eggs in one basket :)

Bitcoin is different bro here query is about the altcoins which is top in the market ordered by the supply. If want invest on two currnecies in this list I will suggest you to go with the ripple and ETH since these both little lower in the least in the list price wise and these coins usage grows everyday even bigger.
We cannot take BCH in wide usage just because of sudden two bumps in the chart.

Very wise advice. I'm not sure about bitcoin and litecoin in that portfolio but ethereum, monero and ripple is very good idea. I could add waves and neo there too, like you can buy each of them in 400usd value.

Nearly every top crypto will be similar as the investment for 3 months. This period is too short to make it strategical but too short to have big losses. Either you guess and it will be gambling (totally unacceptable) or you invest into top crypto and drift with the market.

   I do not think that 3 months period is too short to make profit, price can
rise in couple days after few months of rest. I had that just couple days ago
when I bought Ethereum, after months on $300 price doubled in two weeks.
   If timing is good 3 months is more than enough for making profit, only if you
have big goals it takes time. Big goals are when you aim on higher profit then
x 2 or x 3 is. For more than that it takes time and patience to come.

Currently I'd recommend BCH because BTC is likely to fall further and BCH to grow...

it's too late to invest in ETH, because 900$ is very big price. Good coin is BCD or LTC. I think they have a perspective. But you need to be careful, since it is not known how the market will behave tomorrow, I would choose monaco or waves ...

you better buy a coin that is still cheap, so when the price goes up then the profit will be more, I need you to buy coin NXT, because it is still cheap and has a price to go up

Ethereum would be hard player to beat, only BTC is better, it has all atributes to develop as blockchain platform and currency, so i would stick with Ethereum. I do not see Ripple as a winner.

If you are looking to put 2k into one altcoin i would recommend ETH. Otherwise i also recommend splitting it around a bit. Do some research and find what you like, follow the crypto-news and try to predict the market.

I highly suggested that you should invest in bitcoins because eth coins is more popular today and there are a lot of people who are investing on it and very interested even though the value is slowly increasing but the good thing about it is that it is consistently increasing its value in the market that's why it is profitable and good to invest.

I further recommend you to invest in ETH while ETH price is still cheap, because now the price of ETH began to increase go to moon.

I would split between Ethereum and XRP and hold for long term. XRP must do 10X to USD in 2018. Ethereum will be following BTC path.

Ripple rises faster than Ethereum but I think Ethereum is a more reliable investment tool. It's a really difficult decision.

I would advise you to invest in Bitcoin Cash 80%, this coins seems going to increasing, i don't know about the issue, but seems some people disappointed about Bitcoin stuck network nowadays and start to buying BCH. Else 20%, you can buying XRP.

if i become you. I will invest for eth and altcoin which are cheaper than ripple and bch. there are many altocoin cheaper than the ripple and bch prices. you can search from some altcoins that have great potential in the future.

I think making money by dividing the money is very logical. If it was me i give Ethereum a big share.
