Title: Primecoin mining pool! Post by: Kujmandosz on July 18, 2013, 05:30:22 PM I just want to make sure that everyone knows about this primecoin mining pool. Right now it has 249 workers, so we would appreciate more. And the math is simple too: more workers, more blocks, more coins
pool site: http://ypool.net It is your decision to trust it or not (personally I don't know either, i just wanted to let you know guys) If you have trouble with the set up, read this: [19:12] xnet: 2nd mouse button click on the jhPrimeminer.exe shortcut on your desktop. Select > Properties. [19:12] Kujmandosz: yes i am in properties right now [19:12] xnet: You see a 'Properties window' [19:12] xnet: good [19:13] xnet: and add what primecoiner posted in the 'Target' field after "C:\Program Files\jhprimeminer\jhPrimeminer.exe" [19:13] xnet: so... "C:\Program Files\jhprimeminer\jhPrimeminer.exe" -t <number of cores> -o http://ypool.net:8332 -u <username>.<workername> -p <password> [19:14] xnet: replacing the <...> with your correct poolinfo ofc [19:14] xnet: Click on Apply and OK. Now start jhPrimeminer.exe via this shortcut. [19:15] xnet: you know how many cores your PC has, right ? [19:15] Kujmandosz: yes i know [19:15] xnet: coolio [19:15] primecoiner: thanks for helping out xnet [19:16] xnet: you don't need to change the shortcut path in "..." [19:16] Kujmandosz: yes it is working now. [19:17] xnet: great Title: Re: Primecoin mining pool! Title: Re: Primecoin mining pool! Title: Re: Primecoin mining pool! Post by: Beaflag VonRathburg on July 18, 2013, 06:34:15 PM There's major issues going on with either the client and / or pool right now. You can read it in the chat, but I'm getting around 43% rejected shares on my main desktop. I have it set to restart every 15 minutes otherwise it starts reporting 100% rejects, stays at 100% cpu utilization and stops mining, or disconnects due to a getwork error.
Is there a linux miner compatible with pool mining? Run it in Wine. Title: Re: Primecoin mining pool! Title: Re: Primecoin mining pool! Post by: FoldingTime on August 05, 2013, 04:16:41 PM What sort of return do people get on the pool?
I have had an 8 core 2.1GHz Operton (Ubuntu under wine using mumu v4) + occassional i7 3.5GHz quad core (mumu v5) running and got just over 2 XPM for the first 24 hours. Does this sound about right? Title: Re: Primecoin mining pool! Post by: bcp19 on August 05, 2013, 05:53:01 PM What sort of return do people get on the pool? You probably need to get mumus miner from the 'unofficial jhprimeminer' thread. I had been getting 9+/day, but with this difficulty spike I'll need to reasses.I have had an 8 core 2.1GHz Operton (Ubuntu under wine using mumu v4) + occassional i7 3.5GHz quad core (mumu v5) running and got just over 2 XPM for the first 24 hours. Post by: FoldingTime on August 08, 2013, 09:03:42 AM I started ypool on Sunday and since then I've found 3 blocks but only have 13XPM :(
I'm not sure the payout is fair. Does anyone else have this issue? Title: Re: Primecoin mining pool! Post by: elvisrene on August 13, 2013, 08:02:39 AM yes i am having the same issue there payout is very bad i have found 5 blocks and only have 12 primecions
Title: Re: Primecoin mining pool! Post by: Qantaqa on August 13, 2013, 08:26:03 AM If you're lucky and find a few block in a row, then payout is always bad in any pool.
All blocks are public btw, including how they are divided and with how much to who. Just goto the stats page. Title: Re: Primecoin mining pool! You've sent the last share in the block and you expect to get whole reward?! Wrong place, solo is your choise! But you can mine solo a month with no block! So, be happy in the pool... :) |
