Title: Ethereum Fog
Post by: JW9494 on December 15, 2017, 12:12:28 AM
I saw on KuCoin that Ethereum Fog will be distributed sometime soon. It could be 4 hours or a day. But they took a snapshot of eth holders & will distribute 1:1... What do you think it'll be worth?

Don't know what is the supply of it? If supply is the same I would imagine a baby chain of ETH could be worth 10% of current price but that would put it higher than ETC and ETC is already established. Perhaps by that logic it will be 5% of Ethereum current price or lower or perhaps this will propel ETC up higher. Interesting stuff gonna happen in 2018 I am amped and prepared for it all.

Does it another fork of ethereum? But it will not follow the bitcoin cash on it price. because that was just another erc20 asset. i don't say that was a bad coin but the fact this will not be different with the airdrop coin. Just like Xenon. It can be a good example for you.

Hey all my friends, this is new, why don't you think!:

Goodbye Ethereum: Kik Plans to Move Its ICO Tokens to Stellar

Livingston explained in the video:

"Stellar was built by the guys at Ripple and the thing we like about it is it's custom-built for an application like Kin. It's not like ethereum where it's trying to be everything to everybody, and that makes it general-purpose and slow."

Another Ethereum fork, this is free money why not collect it, what is a concern to me is that those buying them, when people link the present state of things now to dot com bubble there is no doubt things is getting messy now.

I also heard and saw the news here.

We missed it and I guess this is what makes the eth pump.

Kucoin :

Annoucement regarding the Ethereum Fork and permanent support for all forked tokens

At around the block height of 4,730,660 Ethereum blockchain has been forked, producing a new chain with the name “Ethereum Fog”, with the token ticker code “ETF”. KuCoin has automatically taken a snapshot of all user ETH holdings and will issue ETF in a 1:1 ratio within 24 hours.

In the interest of maximizing user benefit, KuCoin will permanent support all types of forked tokens. After the fork is successful, we will automatically issue the forked tokens to our users. Forked tokens will be issued within 24 hours with no necessary action from users. Once the forked wallets are stable, we will open them for withdrawal and determine at a later time whether to open the relevant trading pairs dependent on the specific circumstances regarding the forked tokens.

There is an ethereum chain is incoming and they didn't open a thread or anything for it. It is strange.

So how will it be?

I keep my eths on myetherwallet. Will it go there like an erc20 token?

First time I ever hear about it, but I did my research and the fork is real. Cannot find any way to get them (I moved my ETH since to participate in some good ICOs). If anyone has more information I'll appreciate if you can update the thread.

I have also searched without success on how to get access to the forked ETF. Would appreciate some insight into this.

I don't think ETH for has any future except maybe 1-2 big pumps and dumps. Look at expanse and ETC, they are nowhere near to ETH...

So they should give eth holders etf somehow?

This is the most secret fork I guess. Not a single information out there instead of kucoin's statement which really doesn't tell anything at all.

Yes. Kucoin supports all forks.
And they open a market for any new forked coin

What is the purpose of the coin? Is it just intended to be an alternative to ethereum or is it a token for an ethereum Dapp. Some info and your thoughts on the project would be nice.

Last week there were two forks in ethereum. Tokens that would be released in January. But I do not think the price will be very valuable if your anticipation is big.

it is another "shitty fork" it will be worth dust.

Do not make many ilutions because this coin will be worth cents of ethereum just like all the other shitty forks.

Probably it will be worth less than 0.00001 ethereum ($0,0001 each or less)

Just like it happened with Litecoin Red, Ripple Red, Ethereum Red.. And almost all the other forks that are based on ERC20 protocol.

Title: Re: Ethereum Fog
Post by: kchulani on December 18, 2017, 12:56:01 AM
This is not a ERC20 Protocol, it's a fork. It's meant to be as a Fog Mining system that will support storage, "Fog" being the Blockchain version of the Cloud.

Now, binance also made a statement they will give it to ethereum holders.

But it is the binance policy for all forks regardless how shitty it is.

I really want to see what it is really about. But no real info so far.

your first stop should always be the official website for more information  ::)
www.ethereumfog.org

you get your forked coins with the official etf wallet.
you import your eth private keys into it to access the etf.
i suggest to wait untill the network is stable.
if you have eth on kucoin or binance you will get your etf without doing anything.

Import my private keys to a fork which is total unknown?

Thanks but i will pass unless i saw a bunch of people doing it with no problem.

By the way, i got some etf on binance already.

Human greed is endless.
I strongly suspect there will be lots more Ethereum hard fork chain splits in the near future, just like bitcoin.

I think Etherum Fog will not have much value. This is only a backup when a split occurs. I think this is very unlikely, as the etherum is very stable both in price and market and interest. So I think Etherum is developing very well and does not need Etherum Fog to do anything. I am investing more Etherum because this time it is falling very deep.

Even if the ETH fogs are distributed, we should not be hungry. If we are not careful we will lose our investments.

I also found more information about this project but actually website here I can not find more information about this project anymore. The project looks too small and does not have the proper investment in PR to help investors know about it. That is quite a pity.

There was Ethereum in Binance. I had it with Airdrop. it just keeps on my account. It's bad that it never works. I have no idea about the project. I don' know any  positive or negative development. I think, "only purpose was selling Mining machinery". Could this be true?
