Title: Re: Server power connecter. Post by: forsetifox on July 19, 2013, 10:04:56 PM Really? This thread had 95 views. That makes me assume not many people know what it is. I have done Google and eBay searches and not found anything. If you know what it is can you enlighten me? Title: Re: Server power connecter. I guess I'll just buy a server that has the normal AC computer connector. Title: Re: Server power connecter. Post by: fractalbc on July 20, 2013, 12:19:44 AM You have a blade server ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blade_server ). They usually aren't very useful without a chassis to stick a bunch of them in.

Single chassis in say 4U of space holding more than 4 servers. Generally they are much more expensive and unless the space in your house runs $500+ per sq ft it makes absolutely no sense outside of a datacenter. Title: Re: Server power connecter. After that, it was another 2 min to do an ebay search for a chassis/backplate/PSUs. |
