It started in penies and now is 17k. That's a return of much more then 50.000 times. To come to 1 million USD it need only 50 times of that what we is the value right now.  :o

I think is probably for the Quantum Computers to be able to  crack a private key address before it hits 1M price is more than 5000% it's current value.

Wow, you are really saying that the price will increase fifty more times? are you sure? do you have an idea of how much will the marketcap be worth if the price reaches one million dollars?


The price is purely determined by speculation, it can not went from $17,000 to $1,000,000 in just a few days because someone wanted to push it to the top.

There are a lot of facts over the pumps on the price, only that we do not know them at all.

If you are just one of those newbies who are expecting to get rich just by investing a few dollars today, then get away from here, because they are like a plague.

I think that it would take a long time to reach that price.More economic analysts predict that bitcoin would reach that price in the next few years.When any one would have said this an year ago when bitcoin price was just $850,every one would have laughed at him.But its now coming towards the reality.

The bigger Bitcoin gets, the harder it becomes for it to grow. The USD amount needed to move the BTC price from 17k to 1,000k is vastly larger than was needed to move it from 0 to 17k. Unless hyperinflation strikes I doubt we'll ever see a 1 million USD Bitcoin in our lifetimes.

$1M BTC in 2027.  Or the equivalent spread across several coins if BTC doesn't maintain its dominant position.

If Quantum computers ever get close to being a threat, the BTC community will modify the algorithm to be quantum-resistant.

We cannot know when Bitcoin will hit 1 Million dollar but I can say after 2020 it is possible. Even it looks impossible but if you would ask  people price predictions about btc if someone would say for 2017 BTC : $17000 it would be funny. So I believe that BTC can hit 1 million dollars.

I see the most popular answer is 2020, at the next Bitcoin Halving. I am not sure what to say about that, but if it doesent happen, in 2024 it will most definetly go past 1 million USD.
But , given the last actions of bticon in this year, you never know what to expect.

I'm sure if quantum computer gets even closer to mass market, there will be fork to made bitcoin resistant to this type of attacks like IOTA is.
Even with a 1M price, still there will be much more dollar billionaires from the 1%.

Wed have to see things like actual bitcoins being added to Nasdaq, bitcoin being added to the card readers of most stores, and of course a successful lightning network.  More likely it would only happen in a doomsday hyperinflation scenario.

True, but you have to realise that once something goes mainstream the growth curve tend to slow down. The most growth comes between the mainstream and the early investor phases and i think that is around now personally speaking.

So whether $1 million is even possible, i don't know. It could happen as a result of inflation. As a matter of fact 1 bitcoin would be worth trillions of zim dollars if they were still around and something could happen to the usd that has a similar effect.

We don't know. If it does happen i predict in the next 10 years, that's as specific as i can get.

Some experts predicting that bitcoin will cross $1M in 2020 so I also think in that same way,But I am also scared of bubble burst so I am not sure whether bitcoin will hit $1M or not. ???

But as you said the bitcoin raised from pennies to $17.5K so why we can't expect it to reach $1M.But nothing in the crypto currency is sure so we have to wait to know when it will reach.

bitcoin has grown so big lately and it probably will grow bigger still but it will be something like $50,000 not $1 million. in order to reach $1 million some things has to surely change about bitcoin. it currently can not handle the adoption that it already has!
people aren't buying bitcoin to just put away in a cold storage and never ever touch it! they want to be able to use it, whether for just transferring it around to sell or to use it as an actual currency. and they can not do it with the block size being this small capped at 1.1 MB.

and scaling is not so simple as just to bump the block size to a bigger number! you need to do it in a way to still be able to keep everything trustless and decentralized. otherwise if we wanted a centralized currency we would have never even looked at bitcoin!

John McAfee predicted that the King of Crypto can be reaching at least a million dollar by the end of 2020 otherwise he can be forced to eat or suck his own manhood maybe in front of the national TV if there would be a big demand from the viewers for that event. Of course, he has already ordered that Bitcoin should be reaching that level in that specified year because he would be ashamed not to do as what he promised (as if we are really interested with that manhood down there!). As for me,  I just let time decide on this prediction...let Bitcoin do its job.

We should expect that number to be in 2020 or later.
But before reaching that number there would be huge turning in bitcoin and that is 'flippening'.

The present version of bitcoin which is 'Bitcoin Core (BTC)' has huge scalablilty problem. As a result, fees remains at an average of 0.0005 BTC. If bitcoin reaches $1M, fees alone will cost $500 which will make bitcoin unfeasible to send.

So we need some new version of bitcoin like Super Bitcoin which can solve scalablilty issue and if bitcoin reaches any high, it keeps bitcoin feasible.

i believe bitcoin will reach 1 million one day but no one can give right analysis show you when.

No one believe bitcoin will be 17,000$ in 2017 . i think will be in 2100

A "Later" option missing, so I answered 2020, but I think it will be later than 2020. Not "Never" however, because I believe in bitcoin and think it'll increase its value and usd will decrease in value at the same time, so leading to a bitcoin worth 1M$ (one million usd being less valuable than today).
