Title: Substratum vs Electroneum
Post by: mazooni on December 15, 2017, 11:44:33 PM
Hey guys, I am new to this forum. I have been driving myself crazy over which altcoin to invest in for the past few days now. I am between substratum and electroneum. I am open to other suggestions as well. Any way, which coin do you guys think will show the highest percentage increase over the next year?

Thank you! I apologize if I posted this in the wrong section of the forum.

Substratum doesn't have any products. And there are few open scam accusations like this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2100308.0

If you want to choose between those two, Electroneum is better, but there is too much hype around Electroneum.

These two coins are not comparable. Electroneum has its own blockchain and Substratum is an Ethereum based token.

For sure the answer is Electroneum. Electroneum wallet has been launched recently after some problems solved and now it is ready for a big pump.

I am scared to invest in Electroneum because of all the hype. If the hype dies than the coin dies. I guess it's like that with every coin though. Thank you for linking the scam accusations on substratum, I hadn't seen that. I apologize for not specifying. I didn't mean to compare the two coins directly. I meant to compare the value of both coins and possible predictions some of you on the forum may have. Also please mention any other altcoins you guys are interested in. I am looking at a bunch more ;)
I don't know why but I feel like Electroneum is gonna blow up and die soon after.

At least the idea behind Substratum sounds cool especially after the FCC net neutrality repeal. Electroneum just sounds like vaporware if not outright nonsense. I mean, mining on your phone ::)

I do agree, the idea of substratum is compelling given the current situation. The fact that it may be a scam though is quite scary, especially if people invested a lot. What do you guys think of EOS?

Substratum is a well known scam, do not invest in the coin.
About Elctroneum I have no idea and no personal issues with them.

So one is a scam and the other is over hyped. Better to wait for a better time for investing in this direction !

I would recommend you to give the Electroneum a try because the Substratum is confirmed to be a big scam and you should try your best to avoid that one.  Even if Substratum if wasn't a scam I would still be on the side of Electroneum. Because it's a very feature rich crypto and it is the first brand of "British cryptocurrency" that in itself is a quite amazing news.
The team of the Electroneum is very professional and they are constantly working on improving its features. Their app is extremely simple and can be used on the go with Android mobile phones.Their Iphone will also be available at the App store very soon.

Note:
If you really want some good profits then invest in it without rethinking because it will most probably make you huge profits within months

Both serve different purpose, Substratum is a utility token for web service using Ethereum-based platform and block chain while Electroneum is a coin which is mineable and has its own block chain and miners support Electronuem although it is in hype stage at this time but as a miner i am in favor of Electroneum.

If you had done an ounce of research, you would know that SUB is far from a scam. You have any evidence of this besides screenshots from 3 months ago? How about you ask their alpha testers if it was a scam?

Substratum is anything but a scam? There is also a video of their working protocol on their website as well if interested, with more information on the team via their linkedin Profile (well-seasoned team 15 to 30 years experience some of them have). I have to agree with you that electroneum is on a hype train and if you are looking for an alt that actually solves a problem today and future, then Sub may be an ideal alternative. I am sure you would have heard the recent news of the FCC voting in favour of 3 to 2 to eradicate Net Neutrality, which can be an alarming situation for crypto. In short, Net Neutrality means giant ISPs servers are able to dictate or have a much greater influence over what content can be shared on the internet.Certainly the internet should be an area for freedom of speech without the need of giant servers breathing on the back of necks monitoring all our internet activity. Like getting spammed with ads on what you have recently searched wasn't annoying enough. To put this in to perspective, they could cluster certain crypto exchanges to favour certain exchanges and therefore certain crypto coins, this could have a very negative impact on cryptos and so i see this as being a potential avenue that society will consider switchingo over to from the large coporate entity/providers.

FYI- have just entered in to SUB a moment ago as there was a slight dip and found dit to be an attractive entry point. At a market cap a little within the 100Million area, this is still in its early days, plenty of fuel in the tank to go much further. THis is the tip of the iceberg! :D

Just my 2 cents, happy trading.

Anyway, SUB just took a slight dip about a few hours ago, found an entry point

Substratum faces longterm problems such as botnets and not having an own blockchain.

Electroneum faces difficulty in getting accepted as virtual currency with gamers and gamblers, ofcourse there's merit in integrating electroneum into games as a dev cause you get paid.

Electroneum is a bit of a gamble because it heavily relies on getting into the industry as an accepted token for gaming and gambling.

Substratum is guarranteed to face longterm difficulty, even facebook with their hundreds of millions can't stop botnets, same goes for substratum. People will exploit it to earn tokens and dump them on an open market.

Atleast you know a bit more about the risks now.

I´m realy unsure, where electroneum will go. I invested in ICO and it made an easy x7, but i dont know if their main sellling point, "bringing Crypto through mobile Mining to the mainstream", is realy this relevant.. In my oppinion, they are just a fork of Monero with much Hype around it and i consider selling it..
