But there is always the question of if and when ETH will go POS. If ETH goes POS, will there be another POW coin using the same algo that can take its place. So I would pick the GTX for more flexibility.

NVIDIA = Hashes/Second/Power AMD cheaper than NVIDIA in prices, but NVIDIA has a better in power consumptions. The main difference between AMD and NVIDIA on hashing is if that Algorithm contains 32 bit rotate right, AMD will do that on 1 tick, but NVIDIA would need 3 tick to do that. So AMD 3X faster than NVIDIA on Algorithm that contains 32 bit rotate. But now NVIDIA has increased their performance on their GPUs. Let's see. |
