Title: What platform do you use to trade Altcoins and how much does it cost per trade?
Post by: ControlToThePeople on December 16, 2017, 04:36:58 AM
Hi Community,

I am looking to invest in lesser known alt-coins such as NEO, NMC, OMG,QTUM, SYB, VTC and WAVES.  My understanding is that Binance, Poloniex, Tabtraider, Yobit and Cryptopia are good platforms to trade these coins.  However, I wanted to know if there are better platforms to trade these coins.  In addition, how much does it cost per trade through these sites?  Thank you in advance and I am looking forward to your reply.

I am using EtherDelta. The price is the ETH price per transaction in the current moment. You can check it out in real time at ethgasstation.info.

In addition to the listed exchanges, I also trade in Bittrex.  The exchange, where many of the listed altcoins are traded, with quite large volumes.
But  I heard that now registration of new users is temporarily suspended on this exchange.I hope this is temporary ;)

I've read this information too awhile ago. Seems like there are a lot of memberships so they need to upgrade their system in order to support the new members so suspension is only temporary.

I have an account in Bittrex but it was months ago since I last used it and I have only one altcoin there. Other platform that I know is Bitfinex, Binance, Yobit, Cryptopia, Poloniex which as already mentioned above. As far as I know, most cheap altcoins are listed in EtherDelta. I wasn't able to track the fee on Bittrex but I guess it depends on how much you will trade, I am not sure if there's a standard percentage per trading platform

But etherdelta has been so laggy during the last few days, it is not a serious exchange.

If you are going to trade large amount of money in there, do not use EtherDelta, this exchange has been created for all those people who want to sell their tokens or just all those coins that they get from the forks.

So if you are going to trade with more than five eth, then better to consider about trading on another platform like Bitfinex or Binance.

I am using EtherDelta. The price is the ETH price per transaction in the current moment. You can check it out in real time at ethgasstation.info.

I use HITBTC for trading various crypto currencies and sometimes BITTREX coz all coins are not listed on HITBTC and BITTREX being the most largest exchange so most of the coins are listed there.
And also Etherdelta to trade ERC20/ETH trading. Etherdelta is best for ERC20 token trading coz ever token can be sold/purchase with ETH.

I think that the best exchanges where there is the best list of altcoin it is: Poloniex, Bittrex, Binance. Cryptopia and Yobit weak exchanges compared to the first three

Binance and bittrex are top exchanges with good volume and tight spreads. Etherdelta can have 5-10%
bid-ask spreads so  not good for trading. Binance has lower fees and further 50% off if you pay the fees using
Binance coin (BNB).

I've removed some exchanges from your list, Hitbtc and bittrex become a good choice to replace those exchanges that already removed by me. 0.1 - 0.3 for every transaction. but the best feature still holds by the binance exchange site which you are able to cut your trade fees up to 50% by using the binance token to pay the fees. Binance is the only one that applied this method.

Altcoins can only be traded on a crypto-exchanges like Bitfinex, bittrex, Coinbase, binance etc. Most of them charge about similar trading expenses that 0.01% of the total traded value.

On December 20, employees and contractors of Coinbase, the world’s largest bitcoin brokerage and wallet platform, were accused by many members of the bitcoin community for insider trading. However, in the past, the price of Bitcoin Cash has had surged massively on several instances, which was unexpected by the market and investors.
