Well it is more similar with FOREX since they are both currency, But if you are already trading stock it will be easier for you to learn how to trade currency. You might already know the basic of trading and if you already know how to read charts it will be a plus for you.

Also you can see right away the  difference on their volatility. In crypto currency trading prices goes up and goes down instantly while on stocks sometimes you need to wait for days and some cases weeks or months to get a decent profit.

In stocks I usually use a daily and weekly view but in crypto currency a weekly view is comparably a year in stock charts.

I think yes but the volatilitas of each market is very different, the volatility of crypto will be higher than stock so bitcoin trading is high profit with higher risk than stock. And in Bitcoin trading sometimes the technical analysis does not work.

yes and no.
the basics are the same. you do some analysis and then buy low and sell high and pay fees and taxes and everything in between.

but when talking about stocks, you are dealing with a company, you can research it much easier and because it has been years and years that many companies existed and their shares were traded, things are not that unpredictable.
but bitcoin is new, and it is on the way to adoption. it is still pretty similar to a new company (imagine Apple in early years) that is going to the moon. but it is still more unpredictable because it is new.

Stocks and cryptocurrency trading are almost the same, when you do technical analysis you do it the same so if you have experiences trading in stocks it would be easy for you to trade in cryptocurrencies but there are also some difference between them, like cryptocurrency market is more volatile compared to stocks (more risk but possible to get more profit), stock market is regulated by centralized authority while cryptocurrency market is decentralized and not/less regulated that is why cryptocurrencies price depends mostly on demand and supply. Fundamental analysis is not applicable in cryptocurrency.

Not the same, there are a lot of chaotic pumps without new or long before news (U have to fight fomo and not buy the high). No rules at all. On good news (MCO few days ago -30 % in few minutes) everything can be dumped) But growing market will forgive u a lot of mistakes.

I think it is safe to say that the whole idea of it is exactly the same. you invest in things that have potential while they are cheap and sell them when they reach their potential for profit.

but the biggest difference that I can think of is the size of the market and also the level of manipulation which may partly be because it is an unregulated market and also be partly because most of the altcoins are heavily centralized and a couple of entities like the devs or some big whale controls majority of that altcoin.
so you see lots of pump and dumps in altcoins that you never see anywhere else in the world. and this is a big difference which can be both good and bad because manipulations are unpredictable but also they are most profitable.

Very, but it is kinda volatile. Well, trading can be a little bit tricky in crypto rather in stocks. But we are talking about charts, it is pretty well the same.

Same concepts but different market and different risk. I can say that it is more volatile here in cryptoworld but it is more profitable compare to stocks. Stocks are the established business, it is good to have it and it cryptoworld you are just supporting the project that you think will succeed, I am talking about the ICO. I trade in stocks before but since I know bitcoin already I spend more time now here.

There are similarities but also differences. of course, we know that Bitcoin is really different in  many aspects and there are times when Bitcoin can be a renegade making it a little bit harder to predict and project. Plus we are aware of the big volatility spread in Bitcoin sometimes getting into as high as 30% which can be so disastrous if you are dealing with stocks. Both type of trading are influence by many factors and sometimes even with baseless rumors and opinions of other people. As of now, Bitcoin trading if done right can be more lucrative compared to trading stocks or even with forex that is there are now many trading site already offering all of these options to their clients.

I think they are not the same with the stock, because in bitcoin trading or altcoin trading is much more higher chances to give profit compare into stock trading because of its volatility it has.

Does stock trading work the same way as bitcoin trading?
In terms of chart analysis, yes.
In terms of market movement, no.

There are huge number of teen investors/traders who trade on emotions. Bitcoin price movement hugely dictates the altcoin price. Usually, alts suffer when Bitcoin pumps or dumps and tend to grow when Bitcoin is stable. Bitcoin price movement can easily ruin the altcoin price action. Stocks price action is dependent upon company's growth and revenue. But in altcoins, there are bulk hodlers who runs the market according to their will which isn't that common in stocks. Pumps and dumps aren't illegal as in stocks because of lack of regulations. Market is highly immature. I would say, trade cautiously.

It would be the same as stock trading but the difference is if you trade in cryptocurrency the movement of the price is more higher than the stock market..
And like the other said of you know how to trade in stock market you know how to trade in bitcoin if you know the basic "buy low, Sell High"
And you can make a large amount of profit with small deposit if you go trading in cryptocurrency..

In some cases they are same, when you are dealing with stocks you usually wait to get profit like in bitcoin trading you also need to have a patience to get profit. The only difference between them is the time. Usually in bitcoin trading you can earn in just week or months but in stock trading it takes a half of year or more to get profit. The problem is bitcoin trading is more riskier than stock trading.

It's because stocks are more stable because it is a fiat trade,
Very much different from what is done through crypto trading. Prices that tend to fluctuate,
even we can not predict. But provide a far greater advantage of the profits earned from the stock.

Yes to some extent it works the same way as stock market operates, Except the timing, volume, volatility and some basic fundamentals behind them. Otherwise technical wise they all are traded in the same fashion and people like trading both the stock market and crypto market.

From an analytical point of view, seems so.

The correlation between daily delta returns and volatility seems to be negative in both markets.
What does this actually mean? When panic kicks in, the sell begins(heston effect).

Technically they are the same you are using  the chart and other things to determine the speculation  but there  are different between stock and crypto trading, the factors to speculating the price is different, and in stock trading there are regulation, and in stock there are limit when you want to buy, in crypto its more flexible and there are no rules when you want to buy

Almost.
But with bitcoin it is really above different.
It is harder to predict and the fluctuations are larger.
It is also hard to monitor every sell and every buy that will happen since there is a lot of trading website that are working.
If only there is just one then it will be easier foe us to predict it but at the expense of a lower price of course.

The current costs we pay in trading are not expensive. About bitcoin, the price is manipulated by the elephants who hold large amounts of bitcoin that can impact the market according to their wants.

Have any of you considered using the futures markets?  The CBOE contract is 1 bitcoin and the CME is five.  They are traded in US dollars and if you margin yourself at 100%, there is no more or less risk than buying the same amount of bitcoin.  The upside is that it moves just like the bitcoin, but you cannot lose your coin in a faulty wallet or learn the ins and outs of buying and selling bitcoin.  Just buy and sell the futures contract or options like you would a stock.  A lot safer and easier for the same return or risk.

Stock trading and bitcoin trading is similar, one way direction and mostly " hold " become their key to win the profit. The different is only about legal, product and margin fund but others is same ( strategy ). If you know stock, I believe you can trade bitcoin also. As long we understand what it is and how it work, it will easy to make profit. Research, find the best product ( coin/ stocks ) and hold until profit. Just like that and good luck with you.

I don't study stock trading but I think they are similar, what I like with bitcoin trading is that it's quite new and has a good potential.
The decentralized market will be the future so trading bitcoin makes me comfortable as I know I have a better chance to be successful especially when I hold.

One difference is that there are many stocks where you get a dividend each year. Another difference is that the crypto market in general is much more volatile than the stock market. And then I must say that it is easier to get information on stocks. Each company must publish numbers every few months. The earning options in trading and in simple holding as well are much higher with crypto currencies.

Indeed the trading done in the crypto world is the same as that of the real stock exchange. The only difference is that one is centralised and the other is decentralised. In the stock exchange there are versatile amount of external factors which defines the ultimate fate of the commodity and its price in the market There is also control of the government on how to set the prices for its own benefits. In the crypto trading we are responsible for the prices and we can just earn as much as we could if everyone is focusing on the one currency since long. For example, bitcoin! :-)
In the crypto trade you also follow the same procedure as you would with the stock exchange for buying the assets and then selling them at the higher rates. So what changes is the controlling body and nothing else. So yeah more or less they are the same thing.

It's somewhat the same, but in stock trading, negative and positive news highly affects the price of the stock while in Cryptos, there are times news doesn't matter and price of Cryptos are controlled by those who holds the most number (whales) can somewhat control the price but not all the time. Trading Cryptos is fast paced while in real life trading, sometimes price of a stock barely move until a positive/negative news comes along.

I think that its almost same. But when a company needs its name to get listed in stock market,it has to comply with the rules o the governing body of stock market and then only they would be allowe to list their shares or sale. So,the chances of getting scammed is less here when compared to crypto trading where there is no governing body.

Yes, It is more similar to Foreign exchange  and usually main trades can be done by BTC/altcoin or ETH/ALtcoin, of course there are some who offers USD? BTC ETH  LTC. You can also notice that price from other exchange may differ from other exchanges, which if you are fast and good you could take advantage of.

Technical analysis has the same concept. You can use FIB, EMA, MA candlesticks etc. but predicting it is actually harder. Also volatility is way different. In this market you can get a gain of 50% within minutes but also you may see your self getting a loss in minutes as well.

With stocks you can see right away if the fundamentals are actually BS. With Crypto specially with ICO sometimes it is hard to predict if it is a shitcoin, you need to do an extensive research if you are going to invest in ICO.

You can see that today's bitcoin price has risen slightly more than 10% since $ 8300 has risen to $ 9400. This prompted the market to rebound, altcoin also rose as well. The market today has been extremely active, so today we can trade very confidently and not risky. According to my analysis, bitcoin prices will continue to increase in the coming days and will reach the $ 10000 mark.

Does stock trading work the same way as bitcoin trading?

I think you asked the question in a wrong way.
It should be opposite - Does bitcoin trading work the same way as stocks trading?
The answer to either of the two is NO.
Because stocks have their own principles of trading set by the market players who know insider information that could probably make the company boom or doom, and if they're penny stocks - they may never recover once dumped down to hell. Stocks can be predicted based on the indicators that may be applied to get the averages and as well, they also get affected by all the major and minor news, but Bitcoin trading is purely based on the principles of speculative measures including the rule of demand and supply and it's really uneasy to find where you'll be tomorrow if you trade Bitcoins.

I think that at the moment you should trade short, buy fast to sell fast to avoid the risk and loss. It can be seen that the market in recent days is fluctuating continuously and is extremely complex, the price of bitcoin is extremely strong and the current time has reached the $ 7000 threshold. According to my analysis, bitcoin prices will continue to fall and may reach $ 6000 today. Therefore, you need to have a careful and careful plan when joining the trade.
