Title: Be a programmer or gain bitcoin?

What is more efficient? Be a programmer than gives you huge salaries for every project and codes? Or a Bitcoin trader, earner, etc.?

are you seriously asking this question?

being a programmer is a job that you get paid to do! no matter what, as long as you do the job, you will get paid. so you have some sort of financial security as secure as the job you have and the skills you have. even if one job ceases to exist you can get another with your skills and resume.

investing in bitcoin and being a trader is a risky job. today you may make money, tomorrow you may lose. and the next day the exchange you were using to make that money can simply run away with all your funds and leave you homeless! coming back from that is not as easy as coming back from losing your job!

Well maybe i will prefer to be programmer because we life need active income. so your still need salary every month. if you be bitcoin trader. as you know bitcoin is very unpredictable and you cant depend on that especially you family. think about if bitcoin is banned and you not make to cash your bitcoin. it will be chaotic for you.

Why not do both? Like @pooya87 said, it would be a good thing to have a secure source of income which will balance the risk that being a trader has. And who said that being a programmer can't be a bitcoin earner?

Title: Re: Be a programmer or gain bitcoin?

I asked this because both have huge income and cost. Being a programmer can make you a thousand bucks in just a single menu button (which is really hard thing to do) and Bitcoin has its price that could nearly reach 20,000 USD. Then if someone would pick, be a programmer or a bitcoin enthusiast?

You can earn huge salary if you work as a programmer especially if you are good at it while being a Bitcoin trader or doing any method to make profit using cryptocurrency can also give you huge return but a risky job because there is no guarantee that you will always win on every trade/investment you do. You should do what is more effective to you and what makes you enjoy what you are doing, if being programmer is what you want but also want to do Bitcoin related jobs then why not do both? you can also apply your programming skills to earn Bitcoin though.

Both are efficient if you know program very well you choose programming or you should best in the trading strategy you choose trading. But I prefer programmer because every month income will credit in your account. But trading is not simple, value of cryptocurrency is unpredictable so this is highly risk. This is your way you only choose the comfort work.

you can do that both,i want to be a computer engineer even it has a big profit i still want to join crypto to earn some bitcoins, and i think don't rely here in crypto because it has volatile price and no one can predict if we have this forever.I think also study in school to has knowledge in anything and to secure your future is more good then try to do it crypto job for more good.

Well it depends on your preference actually, if you are the type of person that wants to work all the time and wants to challenge yourself, then being a programmer is the job for you, but if you are the type of person who is a kind of lazy and wants easy money then being a bitcoin trader is your calling, either way they both give huge payouts.

It maybe based on you,do you want to work under someone for fixed salary? If yes,the programmer is best.
Or,If you want to be the boss and you have the full responsibility for your earnings then bitcoin trading is best.

I want to be my boss so I don't want to work under someone then I will choose trading option. 8)

There is no reason why you cannot do both. Some programming skills come in handy when you deal with the complexity of some bot configuration. ^smile^

If you can use your programming skills to code in Blockchain based projects and then use that income to fund your trades, then you have a recipe for success.

These two are like wine and cheese. They compliment each other perfectly, if you can match it with a good project.

Well, I'm studied some programming languages and i will take up Computer Science next school year. But if i were you, I will choose them both. I will still be a programmer and i will continue building websites using programming languages, having many projects tht involves coding but I will still have time for Bitcoin. A job will still the primary source of my income and the finances here is still unlike bitcoin, If you failed to move, You have no profit. But im not degrading Bitcoin. I love bitcoin and my job. I will take bitcoin as my part time job

I think I know why you asked thia question, your side income as bitcoin earner is bigger than your main job salary which is programmer, and when you earn bitcoin, it's only take small amount of your time, more flexible and you are having fun because your bitcoin could grow every day, not like your salary in fiat, you need to answer this question by yourself, how long bitcoin could survive since there are a lot of rejection and uncertainty from a lot of countries, this issue need to be your consideration, I still suggest you to keep your work and earn bitcoin as your side  income, steady job and income is really important for yourself and family, don't tempted by your greed

Both of them are much better but in these both case we should have lots of experience and knowledge to handle the all situations .In programming we can make big big projects easily and can give better to better securities and also there is no lack of opportunities .
But in case of bitcoin we should go with priority of doing trading as a main source of income but as we all knows very well that how the bitcoin trading is also a risky job .
Here is would like to suggest you that to go with these both ways Because at one side you can have stock of bitcoin and other side you can start own service of bitcoin by your devlopment skill and together with these two things you can make better successful career .

I'm more into bitcoin than being a programmer, being a programmer we're wasting time on learning new code and applying logically, it's time-consuming and throwing away the profitability of bitcoin.

Both are totally different jobs and not related in any way. You can do either of them as well as both of them. I would personally suggest you to do both. Being a programmer would require you to have good skills in coding and integration of various platforms which requires much of computation knowledge. You can use this knowledge to do research over Bitcoin. Investing/trading Bitcoin is a bit riskier as it requires holding funds whose value keeps rising and falling. There are chances that you will earn good profits and there are chances that you could just lose all of it. Having a day job will at least keep you a good backup of stable earning while you could try your luck with Bitcoin.

You should better do both.
do not take the risk by plunging only as a trader.
trading has a big risk, if you don't have a job you will get a chance losing all of your money by trading because you only rely on one resource.
If you work as a programmer and use your salary to trading then that's a good choice because you have a guarantee from your work.

You should do both because being a programmer are the best and you have suficient time to do trading and earning bitcoin as well dont quit youre job as a programmer because if you are programmer you have daily income and a bitcoiner withen a months so thats a value of it so pick that two job for a bitter life extra money and income and have high earnings high profit.

To do both needs large expertise. If you want to be a programmer, you need to study different languages and create a program that can be useful others, and as I see you need almost a month to know a language excluding its mastery. While being a trader needs statistical analysis and business background to ensure the profit and not only that, you also need study the market, positioning entry etc. So for me, the best thing to do is to assessed what you really want and do it not just because of money but because its your passion.

Programming is a skill, you can even earn bitcoins if you become a programmer. Whereas becoming a trader or earner may earn you more profit but there is always a risk involved and you may lose heavy too. Its mostly your luck.
And secondly, you can become a programmer and also do bitcoin trading as well. Its not that you cannot do the other if you are involved in one.

As matter of fact I don't think that doing both things together is big task. I mean your job is one thing and the trading your bitcoin is completely different thing. They both do not match up at all, you could do your job in day time and always come back to trade your bitcoin in the night. This depends on you, how much money you want in your life or how much far you gonna go with your job. The satisfaction is important to in your life. You can't just run behind the money and waste your time if you don't get anything. While in case of Job, there are many things, such as getting promoted, earning high status and then luxurious bunnies trips etc etc. Many people like that too. Its upto you really.

Well for me, it is better if you go for a programmer job, and do bitcoin as your side job.
Well, bitcoin is profittable, can not deny it, but being a programmer is more promising for the future because you have all the benefit as a worker like monthly fees, extra project fees, insurance, relation, friends, etc.
So, just do both, but i suggest for bitcoin, you only invest and hold, as with trading will consume a lot of your time.

It is better to do both at the same time. Trading crypto come with risks and the income is not guaranteed, so it is good to have a regular job (programmer in your case) for fixed income. If you are willing to spend more time, you can always do trading as a side job.

Who says the two cannot go together and even achieve more returns by than focusing on any of the two. A lot of people on the forum who are even professionals in their fields by virtue of their contributions to specific topic, and even offline that I know whether pharmacist, accountants, lawyers or even doctors not to talk of the abundance of computer scientists and engineers have been able to function very well either in bitcoin related activities and their chosen path of careers.

This has made them to live well off than they would if concentrating on any of the two. Conclusively, you can actually be more efficient in any of the two options you have chosen for yourself.

I do not think it can compare these two things because they are very different,

if you can do both because it can make a very rich millionaire,
because they are very different but related.
so I guess you have to do both so you have money without unlimited serial numbers and will never run out.

You should decide in what ratio you want to gain your income from the two kind of activities, don't rely just on one type. The best would be to gain income in fiat from your IT work at least in an amount that covers your montly fixed expenses (apartment rental, utilities, travel, food, basic savings, etc... ). If your programming income is higher (should be), you can somehow agree to get the remaining part in bitcoins and you can do some extra work for bitcoin. As long as your income generates in fiat and bitcoin, you will cover your risks (fiat income) and gain some profit (bitcoin price increas). After you can start trading...

Being a programmer can offer you the possibility to get a good income, many companies are looking to hire online programmers and developers. If you are skilled enough you can earn alot from coding and developing programs.
Trading is a more risky and you can lose all your money in the wink of an eye.
So, if you think you are a good programmer, just work with companies paying in BTC. You will find many of them.

Well lets's say you taught yourself calculus when your were 8 years of age, and wrote a compiler at 16, and then went to U, and studied advanced math for 4+ years, U may become a 'programmer'

Look at BUTERIN of Ethereum, wrote ETH at 19 years, of age, won programming game contests at 14 years of age,

If your not a child prodigy by the time you were 14 years old, and certainly not an expert at math, or you didn't try to learn calculus on your own at 12, you have a snow ball in hell's chance of ever become a 'programmer'

There is simply too much to learn, especially the block-chain biz here cryptography at master-level math, bitcoin written in C++, obscure at that all the most arcane data structures to be found, this is an old programmers game, or a genius like Buterin

IMHO the majority of so called 'programmers' here at best might be running miners, or compiling software downloaded on github, but they're not programmers.

BITCOIN is combo of TOR, and TORRENT, and Discrete-MATH, and ETHERNET, and WEB, and database,  it pretty much brings in all of computer science, I couldn't imagine someone without 10+ years on COMP-SCI being able to seriously grasp this shit.

Again, none of this is a problem if your 16 years old, and you already wrote your own C++ compiler in GO, without anybody's help, including all the code generation, I think it only took Stallman about 20 years to write GCC/C++, and he too is/was a genius

...

Yes, to answer your question if you were a programmer, you could 'clone' your own BTC and hype it and get rich, if you buy this shit, you will most likely end up a pauper.

Most ppl have a skill, its best they focus on their own skill, and intelligently invest their money, the number of ppl who get rich in BTC is a joke, most of the rich are ppl who were here in 2011 and got their coin for free, the ppl day-trading the majority here you see on this forum, are never going to make more money than a guy with a paper route.

The problem with BITCOIN is that its way beyond the shoeshine boy stage, now every moron on earth thinks he get rich on the bitcoin wave, and this always ends badly for all.

both, like for us grumpy old men with a stable job/income, nothing is blocking us to work and invest/buy/trade into crypto and i'm fairly sure, unless you hold tons of coins, none want to leave a stable income to jump into crypto both feets.
It's essential to have money to live and if you are asking yourself what to do, you definitely need to work to get money so my advice as old men is to do both.

Why don't do both?

Programer by day and trader by night.

Fun a side trading might be easier in a sense that you will just learn trading. With programing you have to try and stay on top by learning new things technologies and programming languages. Both require time to gain decant skill and both are worth it.

As some mentioned previously in this thread programming "stable" income, and trading is "risk" income although when note risk is involved you could earn more money. If money is what you are after I'd say trading, but listen to your gut rather than opinion of others.

The problem with BITCOIN is that its way beyond the shoeshine boy stage, now every moron on earth thinks he get rich on the bitcoin wave, and this always ends badly for all.

cloning your bitcoins could be almost impossible, because now one company or organization is managing bitcoins, it would be a difficult job hacking it, when I say difficult I mean VERY DIFFICULT! that's why in the silk road it is the most preferable way of payment. you can't just hack in to a system just because you are a programmer, hacking takes SKILLS, I know about programming a little, and I still dont know how to hack.

well I will be a programmer being a programmer is a great job and you can earn high salary, stable income than investing and trading in bitcoin or some cryptocurrencies its like gambling to me you can win and you can lose. But you can do both after job then you can start trading or investing.

Depends on where you are good at. You can even possibly combine it all at the same time. I want to be a good programmer but currently I find it better to focus on trading and other land based business.

You can both of them with big rush. But if you need full time job with btc seller-trader, I think thats a bad idea.
Learning programming language better than btc trader.

Just go and be a programmer. Imagine that large opportunities are laying there. If you became a professional programmer, you can earn a lot not just as a full time programmer. Here in the forums, you can do sidelining by advertising yourself as a programmer with just showing your previous projects that either belongs to you or not.

It is depend. It depend on salary you have on programming. It is also depends on what kind of thing that you get from using bitcoin or some campaign that you get paid. It is good to be a programmer if it is sure or fix because in bitcoin life such as trading or investing, it is too risky to do because the salary you has was not sure and it is depend on famous coin because it either dump or pump. then, in investing it is not sure that a project that you invest was not a trusted person, it is not good. you don't have a money then a money that you only have was a chance to gone.

Well for me i would say both programmer and gain bitcoin. Being a programmer we can consider it as a permanent job with a high salary and a stable income. While in bitcoin there is a good opportunity to earn big if we do have some better strategies on how to invest and trade. But in the end both brings better chances to the people to earn, they just need to manage their time well and exert extra effort because surely extra income awaits.

What is more efficient? Be a programmer than gives you huge salaries for every project and codes? Or a Bitcoin trader, earner, etc.?

Being a programmer is a way different to being a bitcoin user. Yes, both of these are available to be used with such technologies but they work with different functions. But, this could happen that you can acquire both of it by just being a programmer who chose to be a bitcoin user as well. Since programmers are into computers, then you could use those acquired skills to incorporate into bitcoin.

Well, Actually being a programmer is not easy. There are lot of codes that you will need to memorize and apply. And the good of being a programmer is having a good projects that you will gain a lot of money. I'm a programmer actually. I'm multitasking. I'm a programmer as the same time a bitcoin user or earner. In terms of money and business, each of us must prefer in getting a lot of money and do not stay in just 1 work. Try to use your time meaningfully and wonderfully.

Being a programmer basically has a more secure future to give you. Its a job that relies on your skill and most of the end results depend on you. Being a trader definitely can give you a lot of money but that depends on a lot of factor, some out of your control. So if there's a choice, i'd prefer the programmer though i probably will invest in bitcoin none the less

The final decision is taken by yourself that what you want to become in future a programmer or trader of Bitcoin. But in my sense programming is very good profession and huge salaries are involves in this. The people who are joining programming they should have an intelligent thinking with high creativity level mind. So the people of these qualities are so much generous and they do not stop their income only in programming they do the trading on Bitcoin also and become millionaire in very short time.

Thats an interesting question but there is no specific answer for your question. Being a programmer and being a trader a two totally different things. As a programmer you have the stability of a monthly income, bigger or lower depending on your performance, while as a trader you have the opportunity to earn huge profits but there is also a chance of not being in profit if you make a wrong move or if you have bad luck.

I think both of them have advantages and disadvantages. Being a trader you have to check the market very frequent  because you dont want to miss a good opportunity or you dont want to lose your profit in case of a coin falling. The advantage of trading is that you can make a very huge profit in only a few hours, of course if you are smart and very lucky. Also there is pretty easy to earn money through it if you are experienced and it doesnt require a lot of time. For a programmer I dont really have what to say, there are lots of disadvantages or any important advantages. Choosing from programming and trading depends of your time, your passions, your knowledge and other things.

I prefer to be bitcoiners miner and trader because by playing bitcoin we already get the benefits and not have to think too hard to solve or create a program that must be draining to think logic.

Interesting, but my answer is be a programmer with more project and codes and gives me a huge salary, because that's my talent to be a programmer, that is my passion, while investing in bitcoin is too risky.

If a good programmer, this is just for you. You can be a programmer and trader, and for me, for example, it does not interfere. And the advantages - a stable income, and a trader as a hobby, which also gives great advantages.

Doing a job as a programmer or on any other position is not easy one. You have to follow some rules, timetables, work schedules. You have been assigned a task, you have to do it within defined time limit. You will be paid a certain amount as salary for your job. Your salary will increase up to a certain limit as per your performance. Bitcoin trading activity is an interesting job, it works 24x7. Bitcoin is a volatile currency, its price moves with sharp gap ups. You have to watch and study its movements from time to time. bitcoin trading is a risky job, big financial risk is involved. There is no certainty that you will receive fix amount by the end of the month. If you have risk taking nature then bitcoin trading will have you returns more than you have ever expected.

This depends on the set of skills an individual has. If he/she already knows more than 3 programming languages and use it flawlessly, he/she is more suited to be a programmer. But, if the individual possesses traits like perseverance, time management, good decisions, and risk-taking, I prefer that he should be trader or earner.

As per my experience you need money and engagement of time. If you become Bitcoin trader/earner you will not get time to use money. So being a Programmer is batter you will get money and time to use money moreover you may become trader after that.

What is more efficient?

Why not do both things so that you can get more benefits.

Be a programmer than gives you huge salaries for every project and codes?

Yeah being a really good programmer gives you a huge salary and the work you get wont be easy if there was trouble but most of the time your just chillin out (based on experience).

Or a Bitcoin trader, earner, etc.?

Getting into bitcoin to earn cash gives you a slight advantage over a programmer because a programmer has a boss that somehow are very strict and most like you will be kick out of the company if there was a trouble in their system and you cant fix it.

Synopsis : Both jobs can be beneficial to you if you know how to manage your time, managing your time between jobs will lead to huge income.

of course being a programmer is the best because you can earn as much as you get on bitcoin or any other crypto. plus it can also guarantee you a lifetime job whether online or offline but in bitcoin or other cryptos dont because your income or salary here will always be dependable and it cannot assure you that it wiil last forever therfor being a programmer or coder is still the best option that i prefer the most.  but of course i will do them both for a much better income.

More efficient or not of what would be to do, basically it certainly depends on our basic ability of each. If indeed our expertise already had on programmer rather than being a Bitcoin trader, earner, other activities with cryptos, of course it's better if stay on it.. although now Bitcoin or crypto currency promising a profits from various efforts made.
In essence that we return on each of us, intentions and confidence, don't try if we do not have a depiction for the next on the efforts made, if indeed our interest it's a small, it would be a regret at the end.
By the way.. it's better if can be mastering the both efforts, it's will be amazing profits :)

Both endeavors are seemingly beneficial and are profit-making occupations.
A programmer no doubt will gain earnings, that to say the least is very obliging.
Gaining bitcoins on the other hand is more of a long term investment, because
of bitcoin's ever fluctuating value a person has the opportunity to exponentially
increase one's initial deposit or investment. But if both are manage tremendously
well, I can see no other outcome except of high earnings and proceeds.
