Title: Tokens on EtherScan are accessible on EtherDelta
Post by: SocialMediaManager on December 17, 2017, 08:21:51 AM
When a token(Coin) is already recognised by EtherScan, you can easily trade it on EtherDelta, you don't really need to follow specific instructions.
For the sake of an example I will use ETN tokens:

Now if you open EtherDelta and try to find ETN tokens in order to buy and sell, you will not find it, but if you find the ETN address on etherscan:
https://etherscan.io/token/0x81f89694ac96fefd794cb2c8526d2bd8da74b1fb

And of course make sure it's the token contract address that you received in your wallet.
If you put your ETH address in etherscan and then move to the Token Transfer tab:
https://etherscan.io/address/YOURETHADDRESS#tokentxns

In the last tab on the right, you should be able to find the token's name or link, once you click on it, you will be able to see the Contract Address and the Token Decimals.

If you copy the contract address (the example is for ETN coins): 0x81f89694ac96fefd794cb2c8526d2bd8da74b1fb
and past it as follows in etherdelta, you will be able to find it and trade it.

https://etherdelta.com/#THE.TOKEN.CONTRACT.ADDRESS-ETH
Like this: https://etherdelta.com/#0x81f89694ac96fefd794cb2c8526d2bd8da74b1fb-ETH

Once again, ETN was just an example, if you have any questions please ask and I shall be able to help you find what you need.

Sure, so Hacken on EtherScan should be found here:
https://etherscan.io/token/0x9e6b2b11542f2bc52f3029077ace37e8fd838d7f

The contract address is written in there and also in the link above: 0x9e6b2b11542f2bc52f3029077ace37e8fd838d7f

If you use this link, you can get to hacken on EtherDelta:
https://etherdelta.com/#0x9e6b2b11542f2bc52f3029077ace37e8fd838d7f-ETH

Good luck ;)

Most people that use Etherdelta know about this feature. Anyone can put coins that have an ERC20 feature since Etherdelta is a decentralized exchange.

Well recently when I shared this idea on some of the Telegram group, people were just surprised and wondering about how to do it.
I thought sharing it on BTT should be helpful to some who are new in the cryptocurrency business :)
I can see you are already a Hero Member, therefore you know about this for sure :)

If you want to add some details or ideas that were not mentioned, please do.

Just enter to contract addres you can trade the coin. It is not official listing. If your coin is listed officially, you can find in the listing board. I also sell my adnet token. it is an advertising token you can visit adnet.site to see the website.

But remember not a lot of the people are paying attention to that, the coin that officially announced by etherdelta will get the more attention rather than use the direct contract address and then put it on the url.  But i really appreciate your effort. But remember that was so easy to get listed on the etherdelta or officially announced by it.

Well as far as I witnessed, some people don't like to wait long, they just wanna trade right away :)

I've seen the same as well btw, it is very surprising when you see the amount of people trading the coin seconds after the ICO is over and they received their bounties for example.

Like the term HODL means nothing to them  ;D

Also why would anyone be sooooo excited about using EtherDelta that much!! I know it's easy to use somehow but it's reallyyyy SLOW!!!!
You can wait for hours before you can do a new transaction!!
Using Cryptopia and HitBTC and Bittrex will show you a huge difference!!!

Yes. Any ERC20 token is accessible on Ethadelta regardless.

Accessibility of tokens on Etherscan is only possible if you link your etherwallet account to EtherDelta. Make a deposit at EtherDelta by linking your account at myetherwallet using your Private Address and Wallet Address thus allowing EtherDelta to access your tokens on Etherscan.

Yes, but the main idea behind this post is to show people how to access it easily.

The post is not about how to link your MEW to EtherDelta, it is about how to access any ERC20 token on EtherDelta.

Some people find it easy to use and they trust it more than other exchange platform.

Thats very good.. But the only problem is that etherdelta is not an official exchange of tbose tokens and so you get very less price of that coin.

EtherDelta itself does not provide you with any prices at all, it's all about those selling and buying, EtherDelta has no say regarding the prices offered and demanded.

Also EtherDelta seems to be down at the moment.. so do not trade there for a while.

etherdelta is a decentralized exchange, if you do not find the token you want, you can enter the contract address, just as the op explained. but now I am worried about etherdelta, because many people lose their assets there.
