I'm kind of surprised today about Dogecoin's performance. As of now, Dogecoin needs a new developer to make this as one of the "big dogs" in the cryptoverse.

My friend chatted me in Facebook regarding Dogecoin's unexpected surge and increased trading volume of Dogecoin. He bought like $500 worth of Dogecoins, while I shell out $50 worth in Cryptopia.

I don't know what's going on what's behind the surge of Dogecoin? Can anyone enlighten me?

Not sure but Doge has always had cycles of big jumps up and the falls, and seems is at the bottom now ready to fly, but I'm not telling anyone to buy. Just found this post on twitter also https://twitter.com/sadaonet/status/940786341129998336

Dogecoin is always pumped from time to time, sad to say it but it's the truth

The market is mad, that's what's happening mate.

Because in a bull market, all COINS have a good rise, so Dogecoin is not surprising, perhaps because next year is the year of the dog, ha ha.

Dogecoin is the only meme coin that survives so long. No would let it to die. It's just an internet coin. Also, Dogecoin is really good for micro-transaction.

 Nothing happens,same thing that happened the rest of alts happening to doge...
 There is still alts which didnt rised yet...you can check and catch few and still can make money..
 soon doge will return back to 15-17 sat range...

even if all the developers in the whole world gather around they can not make Dogecoin any bigger than it can be.
this coin is fundamentally broken with fast blocks, huge blockchain and a limitless supply. we are better off using fiat with its limitless supply than doge ;)


from time to time Dogecoin has pumps like this. it has always been like it. i don't know who and how but all i know is that it happens!

Does doge has chance of growing or it is just pump? I have some doge and can't decide to sell now or buy more .

I think a major pump was due for dogecoins following the path of eth, btc and ltc that all pumped recently too, i think dogecoin was very undervalued and it still has big upside potential.

This is the flaw which I do see on DOGE which do have a big supply compared on any altcoins in the market which I do believe it would really be hard to be pumped out and there are lots of bag holders of this coin.If its pumped then there would be somehow some manipulation. DOGE is quiet old for an altcoin but good to see that its still kicking after all these years. For now deciding on holding or on sell then would depend if you are already on profits then its not a bad idea to sell off bags.

Just another pump without any reason or fundamental aspect, you can try to sell your dogecoin right now and then wait again until the price will be plunged again. This will be happening asap.
As you can see on the previous chart of doge has the same track with the previous pump.

Have seen it many times in other coins.

Its quite simple doge works fine.

Also smart money knows eventually ico;s will be pariah coins on all big exchanges due to legal reason.

The smart money also knows that POW coins have a much better distribution and are not prone to just a couple of whales cashing out collapsing the entire thing

The smart devs are already buying up the old POW coins super cheap to redevelop where they will have no legal problems later down the road. The get their dev fund from buying a ton at X then selling at X x20 and keeping the rest for long term.

Same here, I have had my eye on doge for the last couple of weeks but hadn't pulled the trigger yet.

It's a good coin for day trading so I'd recommend you grab some doge while it is rising and then sell as soon as you make a reasonable profit. Be sure it will not last for long, however I am impressed with the longevity of this coin considering it is no longer being developed.

I guess that this pump was caused by the need of the community to make cheap transactions between exchanges. DOGE was always be suitable for this kind of things.
