If the cards fall into place bitcoin ATMs may be on the way.

There are many annoyances with bitcoin including the following:

1.) Bitcoins are very difficult to obtain on the Internet.
2.) It is near impossible for an average user to generate bitcoins with his or her computer.
3.) Technical skill is required to obtain bitcoins via an online exchange.
4.) If money is sent from a bank account to an online exchange then the transaction is no longer anonymous and that money can be traced.
5.) Sending cash in the mail for bitcoins could take days, weeks, or not at all and is unreliable.

What is the solution to these many problems? Multiple teams within the United States are attempting to build and distribute ATMs in mass quantities. ATMs will allow bitcoins to be distributed anonymously with cash without the need for an exchange. With bitcoin ATMs it will only be a drive away before an average person can buy bitcoins! The value of bitcoin will skyrocket once a non-technical user can buy bitcoins as easy as buying local goods.

There are many ways to distribute bitcoins with an ATM and each development team is handling them uniquely. I could explain in further detail in how these bitcoin ATMs would work, but to protect the business interests of my sources I am going to remain quite for now. Who will win the race to provide the best bitcoin ATM with the most locations?

it appears a bit early yet - but i certainly look forward to updates.

the thing that comes immediately to mind is this:  what is the exchange infrastructure behind this idea?  because really - without an exchange, there's just a well-tested ATM box.  the box isn't a challenge at all, and is actually kind of irrelevant, no?

If data on this link are accurate https://coinatmradar.com/country/226/bitcoin-atm-united-states/ then in this moment there is a 1290 ATMs in USA and this is the largest number of BTC ATMs in one country.This is for some easy way to buy/sell BTC,but in most cases very expensive way because of high fees(average 9.21%).

Every initiative that can help in a way that BTC becomes more accessible is commendable,but current situation with high fee and slow transaction+fee taken by service make purchases of BTC through ATMs very expensive.

Bitcoin ATM is the great solution for the fast transaction when the FIAT money is needed. There are more and more ATMs that are being put in the right place every day. Many of the people without proper knowledge about cryptos are often mistaken when they see the ATM. They try to use it to pull the FIAT money from their bank and they are not aware that its purpose is only for the Bitcoin. Bitcoin ATM flaw is only the high transaction fee that is usually 10 percent of the whole value that the user of the ATM is cashing out. I personally still haven't used ATM myself but in the future, I will for sure. My city has a couple of ATMs and the improvement of technology will probably pull more people into the trading crypto market and that will result in many more users of the ATMs.

This is a good idea for me. It will be very accesible for everybody. But i think its not going to happen yet anytime soon. But maybe in the near future as technology arises.

At my place in HCM City, ATMs have been shown to remove Bitcoin to VND, and from there you can standardize, so everywhere in the world it is easy to find an ATM with bitcoin. Is the reason I advise you not to care about it and your job that is how to own so many btc!

Yes, we keep working that bitcoin ATMs will be placed in many different locations around the world and people get the knowledge about cryptocurrency

OP's post is a clear example of how Bitcoin has grown in 7 years. Back then Bitcoin ATMs was still in development.  ::)

in my country there have been several bitcoin ATMs, although not exactly in the city I live in but this is not too far away.
ATM locations are in the City of Jakarta and in the Province of Bali precisely in Ubud and Kuta.

yes. now we have coinatmradar and easily can find nearest crypto ATM and now we talking not only bitcoin ATM, but multycurrency crypto ATMs and POS terminals

basically, a bitcoin transaction system is designed to work without an ATM machine, and ATM is an innovation to complete the bitcoin system.

and we will always need exchange, especially for trading, because we cannot trade at an ATM.

ATM is only a small part to withdraw after we sell some crypto into BTC.

ALL ATM with crypto I saw had awfull commissions. Interesting what price will be in this system?

Well everyone loves this is of news. Aside from it making transactions more easy and faster, it can save time and effort too. All also this probably will help the market to boost its popularity that may result to the bul run or somewhat to the market of bitcoin increasing its value.

In my country there are such ATMs, but I have not had a chance to use them, because in my city it has not appeared.

In my country it was very convenient to buy Bitcoin. The purchase was possible through the terminals WebMoney. Now this service is blocked, and now the opportunity to buy Bitcoin has disappeared.

I was totally happy yesterday a friend told me that we have now our first Bitcoin ATM in Germany.
Very great news here in Germany the most people are not really involved in Bitcoin.
Hope we getting some more ATMs.

Personally, around me, even in my region, I did not immediately see a single ATM. This is due to the fact that Bitcoin does not cooperate with the government of the country. Until this happens and legalize, ATMs will not be able to appear, I think.

It's not just about an ATM anymore, but a big fight against us had been conducted and ongoing in India (where I live) by Reserve Bank of India, but even after both the Government and RBI going mad over Bitcoins, the country got its first ever Bitcoin ATM by Unocoin - a reputed Bitcoin exchange in India. Though, both the co-founders got arrested for not taking any special permissions needed by the state government in order to go ahead and install such ATM. this is seems very good idea. we love to see this in the world wide. it would be good for crypto lover. it will be easy for us to transaction. love the concept

This idea is very interesting and in our time is needed. I would like to have a crypto ATM in my city. It would be very convenient and truly anonymous.

Cool. Now that project can be very much public and more investors or even average users will get attracted to use it and will have final outputs. I am pretty sure this will bring more and more volume to the BTC itself because whenever people will use an ATM then they will be investing their money freely without and restrictions of banks and anonymity off course.

This also raises a question, what if the ATMs becomes so widely used that the money laundering starts to happen with that money? As these ATM's will provide complete anonymity and thus might become matter of government who will start taking actions on them. Idea is great but needs to be thoroughly studied.

This is a welcome development to the bitcoin users and making it accessible to every one will also increase the pupolarity of bitcoin in the society.

I was one of those people that still don't able to try and use a Bitcoin ATM. Wel this is one of a great idea indeed. If this come available in my place, I will really glady take the opportunity as a proud Bitcoin crypto currency user.

I had a chance to try it, not too bad. The first step to using a user needs to verify the phone number. After verifying the phone number, the user needs to scan the code of his Bitcoin QR code for the transaction. If you do not have a separate wallet, it will create an account at Bitaccess and print it to QR code. Users can not reprint if lost wallet.

This is a new thing and certainly makes the bitcoin holders happy.
Many are waiting for this moment, a bitcoin ATM will come, but will it be realized?

I hope that soon they will be distributed and used by the majority of cryptocurrency enthusiasts. This event will greatly simplify the process of cryptocurrency and Fiat money exchange. Also I think that it can provoke the growth of new users.

This is quite interesting I guess, as we all know that there are many people and many countries who are in against of bitcoin and instead of having so much of criticism, bitcoin is growing and evolving with a very good rate as millions of people around the world are investing into bitcoin and then there are few countries too like japan, Florida,South Korea who has also legalised bitcoin in their nation and then after having all this , this is very good to hear that bitcoin atm are going to open at our near by location.

this is a very good idea and will certainly be easy for everyone to access, but unfortunately this will be difficult to realize in my country because my country has not legalized bitcoin, it will not happen in the near future it still takes time.

While on paper this idea really looks nice, it's very difficult to implement it in reality I'll discuss here why. Let's begin with the most common one, Regulations not all countries have regulated it, and they'll certainly not allow such an ATM. Now coming to transaction time, we all know sometimes it takes ages to confirm how will that be fixed. Last but not the least who is going to be making these ATMs, considering there're so many frauds people will prefer only legit companies.

Actually we do have a Bitcoin ATM near my location but not much people using it because of the convenient of BTC in cash is not much. They still prefer withdraw money from withdrawing cash from a Bitcoin ATM.
And the fee of withdraw is really costly.

Actually now it's demand of time.many people hold good no of bitcoin and if we want to increase more popularity of bitcoin then we need to simple and easier process to withdraw the bitcoin.

this is good news, but bad news for me and for some people who live in some countries that bans bitcoin, our country still has problems, making it difficult to legalize bitcoin, even though the public population that adopts bitcoin is very large. and we need a Bitcoin ATM.

Yes you are right bitcoin ATM is easy to use because in online if you don't have Internet you didn't open your account or you didn't sell it but using ATM it is was easy to transact and we are thankful because here in my country in the different city have an ATM for bitcoin only that you can sell and buy it so that even you don't have Internet  you can access it using the ATM.

There are tons on bitcoins ATM in the world, and many different brands... anyone can open it but in my opinion it doesn't worth it.. because, what's your earning from it? You need millions of people using it everyday  if you want to make a lot of money and repay the investment..

Al depends from the place you will put it in and your marketing activity.

Yes, it would be nice to get out of the house, go to the ATM and get your bitcoins. I think many dream of it. And similar ATMs appear every day around the world. And this doesn't mean that if bitcoin is not legalized in your country, then there can be no ATM.

It's very convenient and I think it's a great idea. In my country, there are already several bitcoin ATMs that are located in major cities. I think this is a good step in development.

I would be nice to have an atm of bitcoin because you can access your savings anytime you want when you needed it most. Though it has to considered things such as securities and its limitations.

I think this is not feasible. Because all we know that bitcoin is not in a legal stage so bitcoin atm is not yet possible. And it will happened the real essens and function of bitcoin will be die because the main use of bitcoin is to transact online then you will encash it? There is any point to say that bitcoin is more advantage rather than the money that we can hold and touch. I'm not against for any innovation or changes but I think we need to stick on what we had started. And I think when it happen bitcoin will be more risky because more criminnals will have a chancre to steal your bitcoin.
