Title: PCIE x1 doesn't read the graphics card
Post by: elissa on December 17, 2017, 07:53:01 PM
Hello!

My Radeon Pro Duo 32 GB is seen and is working when I put it into the main slot (PCIE x16) but it is not read when I put it into any other slot PCIE x1.
I have an Asrock H110 Pro Btc motherboard.

Do you have any idea why it is happening?
I have chosen GEN 1 and GEN 2 and is still not working.

did you check with different risers ? change sata cable of the usb riser? it could be faulty riser or power issue that connects to riser itself also give us info on your other hardware excluding motherboard.

How many other cards do you have?

If you're only using one card, that card should be plugged into the primary x16 slot, which in this case, is the only physical x16 slot on your motherboard.

If you have several cards, and that one only works when it is the card connected to the primary x16 slot, then you have a different issue.

I have many graphics cards. When I plug in one of them into the x16 slot, it works. When I add the second into a x1 slot. It is not reading the second one. When I plug in just one card into x1, it is not seeing the gpu. I guess there is some issue with the graphics card being connected into pcie x1 but I do not know which is the problem.

Have you tried connecting one card to the x16 slot, and another to an x1 slot, then clearing CMOS before booting?

plug one card, install the driver, turn off the PC, disconnect from the power, reset the cmos (jumper), then plug the second card, turn on the power, start the PC.  Should help, this card likes to put cards one by one and with the reset cmos after each new card. Or you do not have risers.  Because I do not remember the case that 2 vidyuhi did not work at least in some mother.  Usually problems start from 4 pieces and above.

It doesn't work.

I just received an email from AMD where they say that Radeon Pro Duo 32 GB must be plugged in a PCIE x16 slot.
It is crazy!
In the official requirements it is not written!
They are crazy...

Better check your BIOS.
